There is not magic here, just making marker paper thicker, I like it, I dont mind the double side for thickness, 300 gsm. I would use this paper for marker art, I will ask my ohuhu seller, I need it

I hope you’re feeling better, I was so sad when I saw your video asking for help😢. I think you’re so brave to keep smiling for us despite all your going through. Keep doing the great job ❤
I am sooooooo excited for this paper! I've been using Rendr paper for years (which is also double-sided/bleed-proof) and I do love it, but it's three major negatives (for me) are that the ink bleeds outwards instead of down through (spreading outside the linework), it utterly disintegrates under anything water-based (despite claiming to be for all media), and I can't use a lightboard to transfer sketches since it's completely opaque. From what I've seen from your video and all the others that have been promoting it, this doesn't have ANY of those issues. I ordered some the moment it was available from the Canadian warehouse. Thank you for making a video about it! I appreciate seeing reviews from someone who has no qualms with being just as salty as I can, so when you say it's god-tier I know I'm in for something great. :)
I just wanted to say thank you. Because of you and your channel I got back into drawing and I’ve never tried coloring with markers outside of school with like magic markers lol. Bought the 48 count of ohuhu markers and I’ve been having a blast. It’s just so relaxing and fun. I wouldn’t have tried this if it weren’t for all you do.
Ive used canson The wall. Also thick paper you can draw on both sides with no bleeding through. It’s a foil sheet in the middle of the paper. Due to that it’s not possible to use light pad for transfering line art on that paper though. So no ohuhu is not first. I dont know when the Wall came but i bought it 5,5 years ago
That's a great piece of info, now I wanna see someone try a light pad with the Ohuhu paper. My understanding is that it just has a very resistant coating to it (they say it can take longer for the ink to dry and it might smear at first), but maybe there is something inside the paper too?
@@WillowRoseArlen Yes it would be intressting with a lightpad test. When I read about the ohuhu bleedproof paper it sounds like its the thickness that does it. But when I read about canson the Wall they dont mention that its foil in the middle either , like it is. So it would be nice to see.
Paper makes all the difference!! This is the third review I've seen of the Ohuhu marker paper and I am seriously impressed. The ability of alcohol markers to bleed through almost anything is one of the reasons I have avoided them for so long. This changes everything!
Hey, paper is very exciting! That's why I have more sketchbooks than I truly need! Now I need to get more after watching this. Because Ohuhu can do no wrong. Also, that front cover is BLANK!! Ohuhu gave you acrylic MARKERS! Please, my lovely man... CONNECT THE DOTS!!!
This paper technology has actually been around for about a decade now. Crescent RENDR paper was the original brand that I knew did this. Ohuhu might have improved on the technology because this looks like it is a much more solid white, Crescent's wasn't pure white if you looked super closely at it. Also, there is likely a very thin layer of a non-absorbent material sandwiched between thin layers of paper. This will tend to lead more build up on top of the paper, so it that is why you can use almost any wet medium. Should try a rip test to see if it truly a 3 layers; paper, nonabsorbent, paper
Hullo Anthony, I was shocked the first time I used really good paper! It matters! Marker papers are constructed differently, now this is "MY" conjecture but I believe there is a film or some kind of sub-straight held within the paper. I used just plain card stock for most projects with pencils and markers and getting 100% cotton papers will change your life! Now most "marker paper" does not say 100% cotton, but I just use more cotton papers, they are simply the best. I have been a watercolor artist for many years and so I understand the reluctance to pay more for "just paper"! ALL paper has 2 sides, but 2 usable sides? is more expensive. The RenDer papers are quite a bit more expensive so these papers from Ohuhu are quite a deal! I hope you do an original creation with your "new" paper stock! See ya soon!
Your back! You are enough! And when you are yourself, you perform at your best. Your enthusiasm is contagious. And you've sold me on Ohuhu. Thank you for reviewing this product. 😊 Xxxx
@@cambricjimenez4882I knew I had bought a product exactly like this a few years ago! I do remember that it came with a little sheet for markers though for bleed through
Congrats on the Ohuhu sponsorship! So happy for you. ☺️ The house joke was great 🤭 but that "emotionally resistant paper" line really just caught me off guard. 😆
He actually has a video on that already! :D It was printer paper and bristol board, if I recall correctly? I definitely recommend giving it a watch. :)
I really like these sketchbooks aside from 2 things: 1. The dark plastic in the center that makes it bleed-proof makes the markers look a LOT darker than they will actually dry when you first put the color down and it takes ages to dry. 2. The paper is sooooo smooth it’s very difficult to sketch on it or use colored pencils on it. I wish it had a slight tooth. I like the Crescent Rendr sketchbooks much better, but they do have similar issues. Colored pencil works better in them, though.
Although I'm thrilled about this paper, along with Ohuhu actually having refill inks, they most certainly have one down side... Why do they still ONLY have 51, 51! ink refill colors after all this time?! Whilst having 300+ colors including many pastels, which are notoriously known to be the colors that die out on ya the quickest compared to others... My fingers are crossed that some day soon, they'll finally add more ink refill colors 😞 I whole heartedly support them, yet because of this major problem, they lost A LOT of my money to Shinhan Ink Refills (color matching research and comparisons took quite some time, but so worth it!) Even just ANY sort of update from Ohuhu regarding their ink refills would mean the world to me and perhaps many others! It's a shame 😞 Anywho... Aside from my Debbie downer-ness here, this was a lovely video as always (and freaking hilarious 🏠🤣🤣). I can't wait for your next videos! Much love 💞

On regular marker paper the back side does not react the same as the front side so it’s kinda useless if you wanna use markers on the back side it bleeds and has a different texture. This notebook the front and back of the page are marker paper. I bought one of these to use for making a comic book
When you get marker paper Which side do you use? The front or backside? Because it's often that markers leave a outline or a dot behind where you took the pen of the paper (that's honestly annoying) And the other side is kinda soggy that's why I am asking
