What plough did you use? Do you have any videos of it working, sorry if you have and I missed it I’m new to the channel. I want to do similar but my fields are to wet, could I go off contour to move water away quicker?
The pan was at 7-8 inches and the rooting zone was struggling to get through that layer. I went 2 inches below the pan to break it and bring the roots down. The pan was not as bad as it had been 12 months before after a year of mob grazing. I'm thinking in a couple of years we would have sorted it with the grazing but we had perfect soil conditions. Root spread was good above the pan.
Can't wait to see the impact next year.

Francis McDermott yep that could work. We used a subsoiler.
So you went straight to 10"? Wondering what depth the pan is/was and depth of root profile - curious about rationale for that.
