  • Hi,
in this video I use images and patterns cut out from an old decoration magazine to make miniatures.
My next video will also be on this theme because I couldn't put all the miniatures made with my magazine in this video.
As the video is quite long, use the time markers below to jump straight to the parts that interest you.
Thanks for watching this video, I hope you enjoyed it.
    Happy crafting!

What a fantastic idea in the beginning how to save patterns for later, I have not seen that before! Thank you for showing the problems you encountered with the paint and the mod podge on the chinese pots, it was very helpful to know. Everything turned out so nice and pretty with the patterns.

I love that book you've made with tissue paper for gluing your favourite images into. When you cut them out, do you take them off the tissue paper or leave it on? Those Chinese style ceramic pots you made are gorgeous. I use Judikins Diamond Glaze too and it really is good stuff, especially with its 3D effect. 😢

    • @mfamilysminis
      @mfamilysminis  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your comment.😊
As the glue is of cheap quality, when I want to remove the images, I just have to gently pull on them and they come off with sometimes a little tissue paper remaining stuck in places but that doesn't matter . I suppose you could also leave the tissue paper and cut around the image. The tissue paper is so thin that it will not interfere with making the miniature.
I love diamond glaze too, it’s so useful!

it's tissue paper. As I live in France, I don't know what you have in the USA to wrap gifts but here it is exactly this type of fabric that I use. It can be found in shoe boxes, for example. If you are unsure I recommend doing a test first with a piece of magazine that you don't plan to keep. Be careful to use school glue sticks because the glue must be of poor quality so as not to stick forever! 😅

The AI can't pronounce "choice" or "miniatures" in a human way, amongst other things - and as an English person this is too obvious. I've come across a common advertisement on my Wordle that is the AI of Princess Diana's voice - too funny.

This voiceover sounds... odd - is it perhaps AI generated or something like that? 🤔
Otherwise, this is a lovely video with some charming ideas. 🇫🇷

Thank you for your comment on the voiceover. I was wondering if this is too disturbing! Yes, it's generated by AI because I can write a text in English but it's still difficult for me to read it aloud. In addition to my pronunciation difficulties, I still lack too much self-confidence...
If I have many negative feedback about the voiceover, I may force myself to try with my own voice but my accent may be even more disturbing!😅
Or maybe I'll settle for music and subtitles!😋
I'm glad you like my ideas!

@@mfamilysminisI think it sounds fine, but better if it's a little faster. Listen to the voiceover on 1.25x speed and it sounds pretty natural. I like the accent.

it sounds like the AI of "English With Lucy" - I don't know if she knows or has been paid. The AI can't pronounce "choice" or "miniatures" in a human way, amongst other things - and as an English person this is too obvious. I've come across a common advertisement on my Wordle that is the AI of Princess Diana's voice - too funny.

Yes! if you want to hear my real voice, take a look (or listen) to my French videos. The reason why I use a AI voice is that I can write texts in English but I don't speak it fluently and when I try to read my texts, it takes me hours and I pronounce with a very strong French accent! I guess that must not be very pleasant to hear. Hope the AI voice isn't too disturbing?
      Thanks for watching the video.💕💕

For Heaven's sake! AI voice - very, very, very annoying.

I was hugely distracted by her weird accent on some words 😅

I apologize for that! It's an AI voice! 😟
However, I think you'd be even more distracted by my real English accent! 😅😅

      @@helenmcnair4284 Thanks for the comment.
This AI voice is registered as "peaceful female" in my editing software. I'm considering making videos without voiceovers in the future just with subtitles (it will save me a lot of time!) since it seems to disturb English speakers which is the opposite of the goal: to make my videos accessible to a wider audience!😅

Very clever and creative...but really, what is the point of more stuff?
You'd be good to teach English pronunciation and elocution with your posh accent. Hehe.

Ironic as I think that the sample for this AI voice is actually "English With Lucy" - as she teaches and has a huge back catalogue of videos, they could great great voice sampling. I don't know if she knows though.
