Perfect timing on this video. I have '22.5 arriving next week and my cousin in ordering a '23. We were just discussing some of the differences and you summed up the a-arm changes nicely. Keep up the good work.

@@americandream_89 We have three households that run the ranch. I was kind of hoping each would get a different brand of UTV so I could compare them all. Cousin had a Kubota on order, but after 9 months of waiting without any update on when it might be delivered he gave up. He was torn between Polaris and Can-am, but after watching a few of your videos as well as others he decided to go with Can-am.
@@benwilliams5975 that sounds really cool. I’m about 10000% certain your brother will thank God that Kubota order failed. We had one at work forever. I’d put it in the special golf cart category. Slowest UTV ever

I have a 23 lonestar, will run 32s no problem, clutching was completely redone in 23 is what Can-Am told us and it is smooth on pull off and acceleration, also get a upgraded skid plate, tires are not exactly square all around, back are 30-10 front are 30-9-14, still looks great
We have a 23 limited lonestar also and love it. It’s clutching feels much different than previous versions

Hey Jason,
They used to be 11” rear and 9” front. Which was a very noticeable difference. The new XPS Trac Force 30 x 9/10 x 14 in. Is a 9 front and 10 rear from what I can tell. So it shouldn’t be as goofy looking from the factory.
You seem to me more knowledgeable than most dealers. I’m considering a pro limited. I’m looking at a 22 but wondering if it would be worth it to get a 23. I can’t find good info on the Pro limited model. Any suggestions on where I can find the info on that model ?
That’s funny I’ve often thought the same of dealers. As in they really are just there to sell a product they know nothing about. I think right now I’d shoot for a 23 because you can no longer order a 22 and most places or individual people will want more for a 22 then a 23 @ MSRP. Along with the 23 upgrades it will be a better buy in my opinion. I’ve got several people on this channel that have the pro limited. Personally I’ve not got my hands on one. It’s basically a longer version with more bed space and capacity.

I have a 23 defender 6 x 6 Limited ordered, I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that the front of the 23 Limited‘s also has two more inches of travel in the suspension I’m not sure if that’s just from the Forward a-arms or also a different shock part number🤷♂️
Yeah I’ve seen that too. I’m excited to see why or if it’s true.
What do you use your 6x6 for?
They are hard to beat for hunting and riding the terrain here in Alaska
With moving the A Arms forward, did that result in more room in the corner of the floorboard? IOW, did it move the kick plate for the left foot forward on the driver's side? I have a bad left knee and I need all the room I can get
Nothing from what I seen or could tell changed there.

That desert tan is ballin, really a Super tuff looking color. You can see out extremely well in the new style cab.

We have a 22.5, 27"tires are just fine. They need to tighten up the doors, fix rear side window weather stripping, come with side mirrors, come with door locks, smooth out the clutch engagement.
Where I live the 27s are too small. It bellies out in a lot of places. I’m curious to see if the 23s have any difference and clutching. Sideview mirrors would be nice
Thanks for sharing this information. Very helpful!! It appears the 30" tires are only for the Max (4doors) and the 27" are still listed on the 2023 two door models. This is what is listed on Cam-am website. Please let me know if this is not correct. Maybe they have not updated their website (wishful thinking).
Disagree, when viewing the 2023 Defender Limited ‘spec sheet’ for the 2-door, it does indeed show the 30-inch tires.
@@wmdouglas3 I see that. Its in their website as 30" but when you go to "build your own" under the limited it still shows 27". I called the dealer and it indeed a 30" and it is an error on their website.
All limited and lonestar 3 or 6 seaters will have 30” from factory.

@@joemrstik6634 …..agree 100%, when U go through the “Build” steps, it still shows 27-inch tires, which is incorrect. That same thing confused me as well until I realized the ‘build’ steps procedure is out-of-date.
I was wondering the same thing about the clutching. I would assume that they did tune it for the larger tires also.
I’ve not seen or heard anyone complain about the 23 yet. I know when we put 30s on our 21 it really changed the rpm range. So I’m guessing they had to tune
I recently ordered a 2023 (2-door)……the 30-inch tires were the main reason I bought it instead of a Polaris. My dealer is telling me it will be a 4 to 6 month wait. He said the delay is mostly in getting the hi-tech electronics for the machine.
I’d say he is spot on. I’ve got a buddy still waiting on a 22.5 version just like mine. I think you will like it much more than a Polaris Ranger.

You need 2 pairs 4 total
Looking forward to you getting a 2023 in and upgrading to 32-inch tires with stock suspension. Of course, you see all of the posts of 22+ with 35-inch tires but they are swapping out a lot of suspension components. I would "settle" for 32-inch tires and spend all my money on other mods. Those 27's are clown tires.
I’m ready for it to be here. I seen a place in Florida post the first 23 limited in the sand color. It was a single cab version but looked slick with the bigger tires. I’ll keep everyone updated as soon as I get it.
I have a 23 xmr on 32. I could go to 33. My 32 are 20# lighter then my factory 30" stock mud tires.
I have a tan one coming in next month. I want to put 32’s and a stereo upgrade. Any suggestions ?

New units are out 4 to 6 months closer to four. I’m located in Central Kentucky.
I ordered a 2023 lonestar max cab and I was told october through early December for an arrival timeline. I will be pleasantly surprised if that is achieved. They are still getting 22.5 machines in on a weekly basis.
@@jasonmoore9978 that would be a great dealer to get it by then. My buddy and I ordered 2 22.5 a week apart. He still hasn’t got his 22.5. Going on 5 months for his.
Waiting on the ‘23 Lone Star to come in. Will be my first Can Am. Have had the Pioneer, RZR and Ranger, few things I didnt like with those machines but all and all what I used them for they were ok. Def excited to try out the “Cadillac” of SxS and hope it treats me well.

What kind of riding do you do?
@@americandream_89 a little bit of everything. I live in a small town where almost everyone had a SxS and drive them more than their vehicles. I use mine for hunting, fishing, farm work, snow plow, light trail riding…etc. I’m also a beekeeper so when I do inspections or honey harvest I have quite a bit if gear to haul.
I wonder if only the max cabs come with 30s? Or single cab limited as well

Good overview. I have also asked my dealer about an clutching changes they might have done and he does not know.
I have a 23 with my name on it, I say that because BRP's dealer site is just now coming back up from their Cyber Security attack so I have no idea if my dealer has been able to actually order machines yet. They have been able to order parts for about a week but not machines.
Hopefully will know more this week on it.

I’ve passed on several at other dealers because of crazy fees most have.
They still say it’s coming but no clue at this point

I have a 2020 defender dps and run 32 x 8.5-16 motohavok. No spring spacer just 1.5” wheel spacers. The contact is so little it has not left a mark on inner fender mind you the tires were worn down and measured 31”. Don’t run them all the time just spring for playing in the mud.
Have you ever bottomed the shock out?
The biggest I’ve run is 30s. But every tires size has inconsistencies company to company.

At full articulation full steer input is when it rubbed. Only the driver side though I believe the passenger tire was off the rear of my sons renegade and worn a touch more.
Yeah seems I heard about them upgrading their clutches from the 21 model
We had a 21/22/22.5 I can’t tell any difference in clutching between those years. I didn’t have a 20 though.
2023 does have a different clutch , 32" will fit no problem
What makes you say it’s a different clutch? The reason it fits 32” tires is the new forward a-arms. Thanks for the info on tires
@@americandream_89 talked to my dealer and they told me its a different clutch from the 22.5 so not sure what they changed

No it’s a option on any defender
