2015-2022 Chevrolet Tahoe windshield/hood cowl design flaw, warping!

This is a 2018 Chevorlet Tahoe Premier edition. I noticed the front cowl was warping and had gaps between the windshield and the cowl... I took it to Martin Chevrolet in Torrance, CA for service. The service adviser, Alvin,, informed me that despite this being a $65K certified pre-owned vehicle with an additional $5K extended warranty, that this part was NOT covered as they consider it to be "trim". I ordered a new cowl, part no 23454604 on the Chevrolet GM website (Order 19784460742961) and picked it up from George Chevrolet in Bellflower CA. Installed the new cowl this morning and there is still signs of it warping between the clips that hold the cowl to the windshield. Video shows the old part with the warping and the new part installed with less, but still visible warping.

the one on my sierra isn't just warping but disintegrating from sun rot after only five years.

Is there any way to replace only the rubber or is it integrated with the cowl?

2016 Yukon same here, piece is actually ripping off. probably because I've had 5 windshields installed. wish you made a video of the removal and replace. Did you get new side pieces as well?

Same thing on my 2015 Silverado. Warps and starts falling apart after the sun hits it. Replaced mine, new one isn't warped, but I'm sure it will after a year in the sun.

My friend works at Chevy as a mechanical tech. Says this piece was made cheaply to cut costs. Hundreds of pieces beginning in 2007 were produced with less plastic and metal. Chevy continues trying to survive. Sad that vehicles are being made cheaply but cost more.
