    I bought the freemie with the new slim fit cups and love it. I wouldn't recommend it as a primary pump because I do get less output, but it allows me to pump on the go when I otherwise wouldn't. And to me, getting an ounce or two less out is better than not pumping at all!

    My lactation consultant shared with me a hack using the freemie cups with the baby Buddha pump. It has an incredibly strong pump/ suction and is also super affordable

      Kendra, I think the hack is you just remove the plastic tips from the tubes and put the tubes directly into the cup. I don't have the cups yet but that's what I found when looking into it

    You can run the tubing around your neck- down the back of your shirt to the Freemie Pump- then the tubing isn’t visible in in modest shirts- and just clip the pump to your pants. So easy to pump on the go or while cooking/eating a hot meal for a change. Just remember to bend at the knees- not the hips

    Need your help urgently. I have a Medela swing maxi double pump. Can I use the freemie with the swing maxi. I just read that the swing maxi is a closed system pump, so should I get the freemie closed system cup to use with the swing maxi. Please let me know. I am struggling with my supply, my son is going to be 4 months. I am breastfeeding but now starting to pump after I feed to improve my supply. Was thinking of getting the Willow pump or the freemie. What do you recommend. I read the freemie pump is not as good as the medela and since I already have a pump I thought of just getting the freemie cups.

    How do you feel about this one versus a Medela Pump N Style? I want something with stronger suction than that one (used during my last pregnancy), and would love to 'wear' the pump, but would be willing to get a Spectra and then buy the Freemie cups for my convenience, if you think the Spectra is THAT much better than the Freemie pump. As long as it's stronger than my Medela though, I'd be thrilled. Would love your thoughts!

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think the freemie pump is a great pump and I love the fact that you can wear it totally hands free. The pump strength is very similar to the Spectra/Medela, it’s the cups part that is different that a traditional pump. If you’re looking to get the whole freemie system, that’d be a great option! Give it a try!

    • @NewLittleLife

  • @user-fv4rp2ri4j
    @user-fv4rp2ri4j 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I've had the hardest time getting these to work for me. Usually painful and very little success getting milk out. As you mentioned it's very hard to get correct nipple placement and it rubs horribly on one side for some reason. I also ordered their flange inserts to try to make it more comfortable but no luck. The cups are hard to snap together to ensure they don't leak too.

    I use a hands free pumping bra with my Spectra S2 but now that I have 18 month old twins and a newborn, it's not as practical as when the twins were babies, since I need to be mobile. I'm thinking about getting the BellaBaby portable pump (which is only $40-60) and using the freemie cups with it, so I can be on the move with my toddlers and still be able to pump. @jordanwaldschmidttomczik-w3053 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I personally hated this product. It is not at all discreet (hello Madonna boobs!) or comfortable. You need a very loose bra for the cups to fit under. The flanges do not fit well over my nipple, and like she said in the video, hard to tell if you are getting a good suction or the milk is even coming in. There is faar too much tubing, so pumping on both sides is nearly impossible. Even if you do try to pump both sides at the same time, I found that the excess tubing and the Y-adapter really slowed down the suction. Lastly, like she said, you can't bend forward at all. So don't drop anything and accidentally pour out all your hard-earned breast milk like I did. I could see this being beneficial for Moms who have a long commute in the car, but for just moving freely about the house, I certainly didn't feel "free" at all.

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re totally right. Something like the Willow or Elvie pump is far better for moving around and no tubing but those are both $$$! The freemie is good for what it is, on a commute to work or other non moving situations it’s good, but if you plan on moving a lot or want a much more discreet option, you gotta spend the money on a nicer option!
