Btw: colorizing b&w photos was widespread before the advent of color photography. For example, Joaquín Sorolla as a teenager (i.e. in the 1870s) earned his art school tuition colorizing photos for a professional photographer.

That includes all of the colors I use, which ones are transparent and opaque, it also includes swatches of how they act transparently and opaquely with and without liquin. I shared this with my in-house students and require them to make one of their own. Send me an email and I will forward you a copy of the one I have. We have an assignment in class where we have to recreate a famous art piece, and we have to make it how they did if we use the same medium. I chose "Narcissus" by Caravaggio, and have to use this technique to paint.
