I can not play a stam Nightblade for some reason. I try once in a while and then go back to my main for another couple of months. Stamblades are just not fun to play for me yet.
I just got into ESO last week. You're videos have been immensely helpful. The only thing missing was an ultimate guide for my chosen class. Today you graced me with this beauty. Thank you for all your work. Definitely has improved my gaming experience

I've been using a StamBlade as a solo for the light base dungeons and most of the regular overland content and delves. It's also the first character I built and main toon and main crafter. I use Briarheart and New Moon Acolyte and Sellistrix (for AoE) with a sharpened Maul on my main bar. Leeching Strikes, Relentless Focus, Dark Shade, Power Extraction, and Brawler (to keep a damage shield) with Incap Strike Ultimate. I have a Bow on the back bar, but don't use it that often, except to give AOE's of Endlessless Hail and Mystic Orb for extra damage for my main bar and a buff with Mirage, and echoing vigor for a heal, with Dark Shade again to keep it up when I switch bars and Soul assault for a pretty powerful Ultimate. I tend to use the Assassin's Scourge (Relentless Focus) arrow a lot to help keep up my health, as you get 33% of the damage back in health. Leeching Strikes helps keep up with the sustain. It does a pretty good job, but can't solo a whole lot of dungeons on my own. It also does a decent job in the Maelstrom Arena, once you get the mechanics down.
My biggest problem with Magicka Nightblade is just that it's so antithetical. The Nightblade is your sneaky rogue class. So your instinct is to grab a dagger or a bow. But because Magicka is hardwired to a staff only, the Magblade might hit like a truck, but it's hard to reconcile that I'm playing a sneaky thief... that uses a staff. It just doesn't feel right. I wish they'd include Bound Weapons so you could be a more melee-oriented character while still using your Magicka stats.
My main is a stamblade tank/dps. I can tank vet DLC dungeons and still do decent damage with it. Probably harder to play than other classes, but lots of fun!
in summary, what i learned is for dps focus resources in the assasination treeline, im doing a healer tho but I had no damage thanks to this video i have more :D
Magicka nightblade has some of the best aoe in the game. In syphoning use the skill sap essence and it will do so much damage with twisting path and unstable wall and orb for massive aoe dps. In trials use proximity detonation also. You can easily burst trash for over 100k dps
Nice that’s awesome! When I mentioned the aoe I was more speaking natively in the nightblade skills, option wise. And early on leveling I had some issues because sap essence you get later. I’ll need to definitely try that combo out though, thanks for sharing that!
@@Adam_Lutz I can definitely agree that class wise aoe is not as good compared to necro warden or Templar, it’s but once you pair all of wht I mentioned you’ll do insane melee aoe. On trash pulls in trials magblades usually hit the highest consistently from my experience. However others experience could be way different.
@@juliank5523 grothdar is good but it's better to wear kilt if you're in a group cause it's way more damage, but if you're solo anything can work really.

You can pair Shadow Cloak with Ambush Strike for a very fun and effective DPS option. Basically stealth, strike the enemy's back and take them out from the backside while they're stunned.
I only run dungeons for the daily xp and as a nightblade I've went from doing 30-40% of the boss damage to 5 😐, I know I'm trash at the game but this had me questioning if they've just been nerfed
I've just started this game, have played the Warden and Nightblade, and so far, not impressed with Nightblade. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I noticed so far, the Warden has better dps overall, single target and aoe.
I use mark target on my Nightblade tank situationally. when theres a boss I want to be away from ( like keeping the welwas away from upper boss in Hel Ra) it allows me to still give him breach without a staff.
Late to the party but when he started talking about it being harder cuz u can't see stuff... This! I'm a dk main and wanted to finally try other classes (after 2 yrs). Let me tell u, on dk u can see pretty much everything u do. I play on console, so b4 we got timer bars, I would slightly watch the buff icons but mostly watched animations. And I still have that habit a bit. Trying to play nb at first was tragic for me. Took me awhile for it not to feel out of place.

i almost want to just use 4 assassination skills and dual wield hidden blade bouncing morph and assassination ultimate to just get big crit throwing knives maybe not the best dps but it does do big hits and a bit of aoe too and does also interrupt and wrecks in pvp
Magblade is why I don't play BG. Full health, buffed 18+ resistance 2 seconds later I'm dead and all I see the same thing over and over and over again. Cloak, Soul Tether, Killer Blade, Sap Essence, oh you were blocking and spamming Vigor? Ok add Surprise attack same result. Can't see em and even if I do survive first wave their buddy just comes and does the same exact thing. Fun and balanced.

Aspects I dislike about Nightblades: 1) Mag Spamable having movement speed passive baked inside it. 2) Burst healing being tied up to the ranged execute (Grim Focus and morphs) And how I'd fix nightblade: 1) Relentless Focus becomes a Stamina skill that heals for 50% damage done and lasts for 40 seconds. Merciless Resolve heals for 33% of damage done but the effect lasts 60 seconds. Nerf is justifiable because Mag NB has access to more healing than Stam NB. 2) Killer's Blade becomes renamed to Stalker's Blade because it no longer heals on execute. Instead it provides the same bonus as Concealed Weapon to movement speed, with the caviat that the bonuses from both skills do not stack.
Darn I was really hoping templar would be the next one. Would be cool to see a hybrid templar tank and dps. I'm new to eso and I started building a stamplar dps because it's so far my fav playstyle. But in my friend group we have 4 dps and 1 healer so one of us has to go tank. Tanking seems like my least favorite but I'll do it if the group needs one. Would be nice to see a build where I didn't have to move all my stamina points into health if possible so I could still do stamina damage but tank using the sword and shield.
I tank with all points into stamina and prismatic defense glyphs on armor with infused trait for the big pieces. With Warrior Poet I have almost 45K health. Don't forget to use the extra health passives you get for slotting shadow skills.
Hey guys, bit of advice/ knowledge please. Am I correct in thinking critical does nothing except in PVP? I've gone Nightblade Stam, seen some decent sets but they are crit heavy. Happy to get it and keep it in the bank for when I'm feeling ready for PVP, but still happy with Overland
So definitely use your crit chance/crit damage set, it affects your overall damage dealt and will increase your dps done. The nightblade is built around those two stats essentially.
Without knowing the game just reading the armor effects i made a god mode khajiit build. Basically you can sit in front of any boss and go afk. The boss will literally kill itself by attacking you. But if you don't want to waste time you can attack it. My build sacrifices damage to make the character have almost unlimited hp. A way to increase the damage is by adding a poison damage set and berserk werewolf ultimate. That way you have almost unlimited hp and decent DPS damage...dumb build doesn't work in pvp because EEf PvE players I guess. I expected to happily do quests in cyrodiil or imperial city letting players hit me and die for the backlash but instead i am a 1 hit with my build because my build doesn't work against players...
U should be using dual wield and bow not 2h IMO… If ur leveling and need AOE dmg, put whirlwind on ur first bar and u already have the AOE bow skill (forget name I think it’s volley)
Easy? Night blade is not at all easy... However, I think it's the best class to learn pvp survival because it melts like butter... Because of that, when you can rock a battleground with night blade, your skills are going to be on point... I love when groups abandon the mission to hunt me because I just killed three of them... It's hilarious... But whatdp you expect... Some of us can't just stand still behind shield walls and fancy lightning... We have to learn how to actually fight... When I first took my sorc into a battleground I was shocked by how much easier it was to just stand around... Night blade is still my favorite class though by far...
Is saying numbers like that... 'Six nine six three' instead of 'six thousand nine hundred and sixty three' a MMO thing, a personal idiocyncracy or is he just trying to be 'unique' for TH-cam? He'll say "forty seconds" not 'four zero seconds' but he doesn't say other numbers the same way...weird.

I always thought it was weird too but my justification was also the fact Dark Brotherhood has mages

Don't use reverse slice, the dmg bonus for lower health doesn't become useful until enemies are around 30% until then continue your regular rotation

Exactly my go to magblade. I love to wear grothdarr at the same time. Insane AOE Damage! I can solo most dungeons because of the massive heal as well

If you're going with destruction staff magic nightblade the weapon tree has a nice aoe
Breton Stamblade DPS was my first main way back in 2015. He now serves duty as my gatherer/crafter while I’m running my Vampire Necromancer.
The red path is what speeds your movement and the black smoke is what does the damage, perhaps.

For the magicka nightblade you can spam unstable wall of elements for early game aoe clear while leveling.
This guide was beefy enough to convince me to make my first character a 2h nightblade. Excellent guide my d00d

I like the killers blade change the most but overall great ideas

As a tank main, I will say my nightblade tank is not my favorite. She does her job well, but she does so much less damage than any of my other tanks.

Honestly, magicka works better when you're tanking as Templar. Templars are best as healing tanks in my opinion

Twisting Path is one of the strongest AOEs in game.
The built in major resolve in the shadow passives makes this class quite hard to solo in my opinion
