whao!! love this video. I'm Nigerian and I'm so happy that you cook jollof in the US. As for who makes the best jollof, its definitely the Nigerian jollof. We no dey carry last oooo!!!!
I have made Jollof rice but not like this. Instead of sauteing my garlic and onion I usually blend it and of course I add maggi cube. I am on board for trying it the way you made it. I'm sure your way taste better than mine!
Shrimps sound nice but I can not do it in my house because two of our three children are very allergic to seafood ! Sadly as babies we discovered this! They were infact prescribed epi-pens for this reason. Mariam can not even be in the same space as us when we eat seafood- which sucks because Kenton & I love it. Anyway I NEVER cook any shrimp, crab legs , mussels etc when they are home. We eat it only at restaurants without them.

Thank you for linking this vid to my comment. I never cook, but one day I’ll surprise my Hausa hubby and try this.

Kenton & Habiba He laughs at me whenever I try to cook so I gave up the first year of marriage lol. You’re inspiring me to try once more.

I add slightly cooked shrimps few mins before rice is ready. Doubt my family can eat jollof with no shrimps again ...lol
