Because it suited her in that moment, and I feel it was absolutely perfect, but I also feel like it didn't show us Wendy's general personality as a whole or all of her sides, it was one side of her that was prominent at that time! I'm sooooo excited and looking forward to it (as a Wendy ult bias)

This debut and seulgi herself is indeed powerful. The lyrics are full of metaphors. What I love about this song is that the existence of the dichotomy concept is there; we can hear two personas talking. The color grading is just wow. SHE. PERSONIFIED. THE. FORBIDDEN. FRUIT. Really seductive, we are all tempted!!!!!!!!!

Seulgi did that. One of my favorite solo debuts this year. I'm still not over it, I never will be.
My impression was that all the action in the MV was the thoughts in her head and that there is just no way to know it by just looking at her.
The video starts out and ends with her being alone and if not "peaceful" she at least appears perfectly harmless on the scale of things. No weapons, clothes aren't provocative or threatening and she is just alone in a field...however...even if she looks harmless, she is 28 and those years = those years are REASON enough to not just trust your eyes. 28 years to develop her own sense of values, thoughts. desires and internal conflicts that might not always go how she herself or anyone expecting something out of her wants.
she knows she owned the concept, a queen. her vocals are overflowing, her visual is a seeerve, the cinematography is beyond amazing. she didn't come to play.
How dare she do us like that. Seulgi, chilllll 😅

Red velvet is really unique in terms of making music videos. Their concepts are very interesting. From group comebacks and solo debuts. That's why they are the only girl group that i stan.

Putting words behind a feeling or describing why you like something is really not as easy as it looks like, especially when it's as subtle as what Seulgi delivered, but Kaia does that very well 👏

And you will be happy that Dead Man Runnin (which also can be the title track cuz it's so good) has only ONE name written as the lyricist and that is Seulgi.

I think you and I made the exact same faces watching this video. The way that burgundy and black outfit made me clutch my heart! I too am considering charges. Maybe we should file a class action suit against SM for mental anguish (Of the most glorious kind of course. 😂) Though the way they're going they may have to change their name to S&M. The song is just stunning, and it's unfair for that much talent to be contained in one human being.

Someone please help me. I am not familiar with red velvet’s discography at all but I decided to listen to seulgi’s full album and I love it! Can someone perhaps suggest where I should start in their discography??
You can start from their 1st mini album Ice cream cake, so that way you can see how they improving and their versatility through the years
I think the inner self view - the "we must resist temptation to evil" element of the concept - but you know evil is winning here hahahahaha :D But that perspective on it really puts the "I'm not the devil" comment into a cool light. But yes. It's amazing. I hope I will see the album reaction over on Patreon, I will have to remember to do that so fingers crossed for me. hahaha :D But they are incredible so I know you will enjoy it.
