Even though it is in early access I am blown away by it! I am praying that the building mechanics get some upgrades so those gaps in the roof can be filled in.
I’ve seen so many sons of the forest videos trying so hard to be “THE BEST -“. This video is so refreshing & demonstrates the real beauty this game has to offer. Good work my friend!
I totally agree with you, seeing thig guy building an awesome structure in quietness is relaxing and a way more pleasant and instructive than hearing useless and annoying comments. Good job Dale and keep it going!
@@TwoCuppas I’ve been dabbling in normal mode, but that usually means I’m just sprinting between a couple bases to build as much as I can before the locals find me again 😅😂
@@shleegaming That's why peaceful is so good! The cannibals and mutants start to interrupt you more and more as the game goes on, half the time I felt like I was killing them, when I justwanted to build. So peaceful it is haha!
@@TwoCuppas I’m with you there! Sometimes I like the added excitement, but after a while it just becomes tedious and stressful. So yeah, peaceful it is!
This build is gorgeous and I love the location you chose! As someone who purchased the game myself for the sole purpose of just building in this game I'm inspired by what you created here!
You literally chopped all those logs!! Talk about full immersion. Also, the first video I've seen of someone who really gets the mechanics for building early.
This is honestly a great niche lol I haven't really been that interested in many SOF videos cause it seemed so much like the first game, enjoyed this video though. If you're looking for other games check out Satisfactory, kind of a different premise but the aesthetic and building are similar in ways.
@@TwoCuppas You're welcome, my friend, and yes I am, not so secret anymore, I suppose. Jokes aside, I tend to get dizzy under the sun If not properly protected.
@@leonardomafrareina7634 while that must suck, I have to say I find it very interesting. Have you ever tried making a game out of it? like running for shade?
Have any unused wood disappear if not put in storage or the half cut also? cuz i build and didn't like it, i dismantled think it was after sane and sleep it was gone
I have only experienced it when I've logged out and back into a save. I have heard that if you travel too far away the logs also de-spawn. So you'll want to use lots of log holders.
The amount of trees you chopped down is barely enough logs to lay the foundation whenever I want to build something of the same size😂 Maybe I have logs disappear hmm
Just in case you didn't know, there is a limit to how many logs can be "loose" at one time. If you want to plan ahead you'll need lots of log storage to prevent it. It does take a lot of trees!
Yes, when starting a new save, there is the option to turn cannibals off. You can also set the frequency of rain, length of seasons, that type of stuff!
Nice. I don't mean to tell you how to do your job but you could make a series where you build out the entire forest instead of individual builds. Build a whole town type thing (if the game allows it, I'm not sure) with a bit of exploration, I'd watch that. Glad I found your videos, good luck with the channel.
The beautiful survival mechanics in the game is what's making me really want to buy it. (Also the fact that The Forest is a legendary game)

@@TwoCuppas Tbh I think that the devs will polish the house building mechanic as it is a very big part of The Forest.
@@ThatGuyNoodle I agree, I can't wait to see what they add in the future!

Playing peacefully, just building and chilling, is my favorite way to play this game!
I haven't touched the normal mode for a couple of weeks now. So me too!

Also I agree we need filling pieces for gable roofing!
This makes me so happy
Was really hoping to see if you could set up rooms and stuff. Only like 2 mins left so I don’t think it’ll happen haha

Thank you! I appreciate that, definitely looking for more games to make videos on.
It's a sequel it's supposed to be mostly the same, it's meant to build off of the first one keeping the mechanics and design but improving off of it.
ASMR on a new level. i might enjoy this one.
I'm really hoping that this game releases on Xbox One when it comes out, this is satisfying
Why did I find this so entertaining
That many windows? Guess someone here loves sun light. Gets better by each minute that goes on, what a beautiful game.
I do indeed, gamers need sunlight haha!
@@TwoCuppas I try to avoid it, my skin is too sensitive to UV radiation. Either way, the cabin looks incredible.
