Next time you get a chance inside a 22GL step inside the bathroom to show us how much room there is-looks narrower & not as tall. This was helpful to hear him explain some of the reasons for the changes. May lose storage in one area, but gain an alternative. Informative interview👍🏼 Thanks for sharing so we can learn.

Hey Scott, have a 2022 59GL on order arriving soon... love the new layout as a solo traveler... having the open area is far more important than a second be that I won't use. The Volta system (and your videos) is what really sold me on Winnebago, and they did increase the size to 9600 W-hrs from 8700... love your videos and hope to see you on the road 👍

I don’t get the having to leave the doors open to use city water. I understand they want to make it a 4 season coach but that is not computing for me they need to figure out a way to get the water supply and be able to close the doors.

2 things, wish they would've kept an option for the second bed and the tv is only viewable from the front seats. I think it would be cool to have the tv hidden in the above side cabinet and then lower down to counter top when viewing. Now that would probably take all the storage space in the above cabinet but what if they designed a clever cabinet cover that would hold a very thin flat screen that could swing down? I think the G model is a great platform to work with.

I’ve watched many of these 2022 59GL videos and they show a high-quality camper van. Sadly, the quality is not across-the-board. On the day of delivery of our 2022 59GL, We walked away from our walk-through and at this point are no longer considering Winnebagos. The van that ended up getting delivered to our dealership had teeny tiny little exposed staples, some in, some out of the cabinetry, exposed foam around the windows and partially exposed around the back molding, the molding at the rear of the coach that holds the screen was unattached to the van itself and was hanging down with a big gap completely separated from the van, and the tow bar had been destroyed either in the shipping to the first dealership, or during the transportation from that dealership to the one we were purchasing the van from 90 miles away. We were disenchanted by both Winnebago and our dealership for not having caught any of the issues prior to our delivery/walk-through. Just a cautionary tale for those out there who are looking to purchase one of these rigs - - look at it very closely prior to signing for it! The van in this video looks amazing and is far and away from the 2022 we almost owned. If this van was the one that showed up at our dealership, it would be ours!

good points.. I plan to look very close before accepted -- hopefully -- I get a decent built one -- the dealer I'm buying is only a mile from the WGO factory... I actually tried to get a qoute for ordering from my local dealer and it was an unpleasant nightmare and I never got a real order quote.. they kept saying put the money down - order and we will give you the price... very poor local WGO dealer experience

The final straw and dealbreaker for us was the guy they assigned to do the delivery/walk-through. He had no energy and did not address our concerns as they came up. He was not familiar with the 59GL, did not know how to set up the bike rack, was missing some small pieces and parts (he grabbed the missing pieces off the rig next to ours that was also awaiting delivery), and did not seem to care at all one bit when we pointed out the destroyed tow bar and hanging molding/screen. All of this should’ve been caught way ahead of time, but he was completely unprepared. Thankfully the dealership gave us our entire deposit back without question and right away. They could not deny all the issues! Again, I stress being thorough and not settling when picking up your rig! For the amount of money we were prepared to pay, our expectations were much higher than what was presented to us for delivery. Yes, it is still a sellers market, but buyers do not have to settle for crap when paying so much money. (This all happened two weeks ago… Can you tell I’m still pretty steamed?! LOL)

I love the whole new 2022 GL floor plan. My recommendations would be:
    1) I rather see an option for a cassette toilet and eliminate the whole black tank. And give it a larger fresh water tank.
    2) Already mentioned it, I would love to see the fresh water tank larger.
    3) Would be nice to see an option like Mercedes Benz has, a automatic sliding door. When on a camp ground or anywhere else to eliminate the loud noise from closing the door by a press of the button.
    4) Why is there no option like the units have in Europe to have all windows in the dual plexiglass?? The side window in the galley and back windows. I've seen it in European RV's as mentioned. A beautiful thing to have.
Besides those points, a gorgeous unit.

@@pamelakilponen3682 he actually did say but didn't really focus on it.
He said at 19:45 if you want to close the doors you need to disconnect and use internal water. Which I guess if it's just for the night is only a minor inconvenience. Not a deal breaker for me but I don't like it.

Nice tour guys! I’m in my 2022 GL for a month now and love it. They took a little width from the bathroom and made the bed a little wider. And since I travel solo and work full time on my laptop I don’t need the second bed up front, I enjoy the extra room up there. The toilet is working well, but the shower is tight, I try to shower at the gym or campground when I can. The bed is VERY comfortable for me, very nice mattress so far. The majority of the changes in the 2022 Travato 59GL are big steps backwards. They destroyed the lounge and 2nd bed option, raised the bathroom floor making the ceiling to low, made the water fill impossible without the van open, took away some of the under bed wall storage, and put an awkward step in the lounge. I actually like the inverter bench in my 2021 with the magnetized opening on the kitchen side of the screen. One positive is the ability to expand the Pure3 capacity. If I couldn’t have purchased my 2021 Travato 59GL with a 2021 chassis I would have been pushed to another manufacturer such as the Coachman Nova. Please note that we love our 2021 with all available upgrades.

Its insane some of the problems they didn't address and some of the new ones they created. Some really good changes, a lot of bad.
Where did they put the inverter that used to live in the jump seat? I assume it is now eating up garage storage space.
Looked like they got rid of the Remis shade in the windshield, yes? I decided after the first time I had mine replaced that if it broke again I'd just get a VanMade shade.
Did they do anything about the $10,000 worth of lithium batteries hanging off the back axle and really limiting ground clearance?
I never use city water but I do like to hook up and leave my hose connected. All they had to do was put a hole in the floor so I'm guessing that will be a mod circulating on the FB group very soon. Unfortunately the "G" floorplan isn't available from other manufacturers. Shame because someone could certainly be lured away from Winnebago if they would build with a little more thought and quality.

I'm not so sure about the water management control center. I do not like the idea of having to open the door to fill the tank. Do you have to leave the door open if you are hooked up to city water? I didn't follow what he said about having a short hose attached. My 2019 59KL has quite a bit of storage where the water management center is. We put our leveling ramps, water hose, and electric cable there. Winnebago has added a couple of new storage areas. Are these adequate replacements for the storage area lost?

How about the Apple Car play radio system? 9 Speed transmission and larger screen? I'm getting mixed messages on the 22 and 23 chassis .....very confused! I want to buy the 22GL, with these features and don't want to wait for the 23 chasis. Thanks for any help!!

Still with the ladder hanging off the back and nothing attached to it. A lot of RVs don’t even have a ladder. But a class B RV that has to engineer every square foot seems to ignore several square feet of capacity going down the road. I know that products are available to bolt to the ladders for additional water, fuel or just an extra box. It just seems they could choose to use that space.

Some of the upgrades are nice and appear to be well thought out. The water connection on the inside of the van doesn't work for me. It would mean if I were in a campground I would have to leave the door open or connect/disconnect the water way too frequently. I suppose I could just run off of the tank and refill as necessary but again IMHO not the best set up for the water connection.

I also think the new water panel is a terrible idea. Folks have mentioned not being able to hook up city fill without leaving doors open, but I'm more concerned about black flush. I much prefer having the flush near the drain opening. Imagine the draining process when it's raining. Also with heavy bikes on the rear bike rack you can't even access the panel to flush without removing the bikes first. I like most of the new features, but please drop the water panel and punch a few more holes in the body.

Outdoor speakers gone, there's a crappy soundbar now vs an actual audio system module, less labor for them in reference to the cutouts etc... The controls having been moved over vs where they were previously (below the tv) is a deal breaker for me. Dislike the internal water fill, especially for city water. imaging it's raining or windy, who would want to leave their back doors open? Winnebago is cheapening it out so they don't have to cut holes and cut the cost of the 2nd bedroom setup. Dislike the new setup, cost more and you get less. Best to keep the old one Scott. also, if the city fill bust inside the van... good luck with cleaning it.

how B vanners -- leave an active "city water" hooked up?? the grey tank is not very large and neither is the black tank.. are there many b can users doing a continuous water hook up -- for this it seems you basics need to have a fulltime sewer hookup as well.. I busting out water leak inside on continuous water hook up on city pressure would be a disaster whether the connection is in or outside - as many of those leaks are internal plumbing. nearly all seem to fill the tank and then use the water pumps from the fresh water tanks -- not continuous city pressure - I personally would never do this on my van

@@steventoney4018 We have the 2022G. Yes your points are good. This is really a Boondocking type vehicle. Even if you were able to hook up to city water you have to manually pump out the gray water using the pump switch (I did not know about until after I purchased the unit) which is outside. So you really couldn’t run water continuously if you want to take a super long shower otherwise your gray tank would overfill.
