Although I'm no expert of classical tenors I believe Mr. Calleja's voice is impeccable. However it's a pity that the conductor is beating so fast. A 5 minute song reduced to 3 minutes. Also I don't like the drum-kit sound... Sounds so amateurish and detached from the rest of the orchestra.
I think Calleja probably intended it to be like this. Making it a bit different; plus making too slow is very taxing, not something you want to do in a big concert.
@@writerforlifeify for the singer. The song the way Bocelli originally sung it is very sustained on the above passagio notes. Fine in a recording studio, but not good if it is one song as part of an entire concert you need to sing
Among tenors, I find him the most beautiful voice nowadays ! I just love his voice!
