It's the orchestra builds up at the end and he tries to follow as good musician this growing volume and he can but do it although not everybody would succeed. The technical acoustical conditions were probably far from what the musicians would have liked. But it's outside, that is hard to do.

Yeah that is why I like him too, sings more like an old style tenor instead of the sloppy modern ones.
