There's a sequel on the DS already, and it's a way better Zelda game than any of the actual Zelda games on the DS. I don't know if people just aren't aware of Okamiden or if it has some bad reputation I've never heard of, but either way it's 100% worth checking out.

My brother is obsessed with traditional Japanese art (and likes dogs), so I used Okami as his gateway into Zelda-like games. It worked, he’s a big Zelda fan now.
I mean, I think he'll have to make it a spiritual successor if we assume capcom and him still can't patch things up. Okamiden is a thing though, and shares a lot of staff. It's probably also the best Zelda game on the DS.

Ikumi Nakamura was also asked about the sequel last year and she gave a very uncertain but hopeful answer. I also thought about it and realized how much I think a Vinny playthrough of Okami would be a nightmare, if his FF7 Rebirth playthrough is anything to go by
@gnbman It isn't the most varied combat but you have options, largely down to the way you choose to set up Amaterasu's primary and secondary weapons. Granted, the main draw of Okami is the story, but the combat is pretty fun, especially as you learn more abilities from the dojo
I'm surprised that it took this long for Okami to show up on a Vinesauce stream. It's an old favorite, and comes off to me as something Vinny might like. Then again, most people wouldn't expect it to be a hybrid of Capcom's The Legend of Zelda games and Devil May Cry, so I can understand it sort of flying under the radar.
Sol is self-admittedly Daisuke's self-insert OC. He even voiced him in the first 3 Guilty Gear games, despite having 0 VO experience. Him and Ragna are basically Daisuke's Coldsteel. And it's adorable.

Honestly this makes more sad that Vinny has never ever played Okami before, it's one of the best game that has ever graced the PS2 with a unique artstyle that is timeless and got neat HD ports on all available console + PC.
Okami is one of my favorite games, so it was really fun corrupting it as my first dive into to the RTC. indigo prophecy on the other hand got great corruptions but playing through it felt actually painful. (I also had to mute the music in some sections due to really loud chirps)
