How many Flintstone gummies are left?

Vinny has shafted that Oops Mom Bought An Atari segment so many time I think we'll have to call him "John Shaft"
Getting Weird With It 2: Electric Boogaloo
I teased him about it 1:32:32
So he is the one called Shaft.
That would be confusing especially when there already is someone named John working on this channel

52:45 For those who are still in doubt, Lion King *5* is the one with the terrifying Game Over screens. It is easily identifiable in-game by the stage 1 background color, which is full purple or blue, depending of the NES' palette.
I remember JonTron's reaction to it.
I immediately assumed it wasn't that one based on the fact there weren't enemy walking fingers

A- Arm Weakness.
*S - Speech Difficulty.*
T - Time to call 911.
This is why he doesn’t show his face when he streams because it’s constantly melting off
1:50:05 this is actually how the wind sounded on early SNES emulators. I remember an early release of snes9x and it sounded just like this
The charge shot sound in Mega Man X1-3 was also borked back in those days
@@HyperDefective Yeah. Illusion of Gaia was also realllllly messed up
2024 marks 10 years since Joel first saw grand dad, I think...
Christ. Never remind me that I'm old.

AMAZING
Was 13 when I started watching his streams lmaoo I'm 24 now 😂
@@SpaceSkeletonDragon Aren't we doing, as Matara recently called it, "Hagmaxing?"
At least now we can unironically pull the "Back in my day" bit out.
@@djvibekiller From now on, September 4 shall be known to us as GRAND DAY.
The reason why Jelly Boy credited Ken Sugimori at the beginning is because the game was developed by Game Freak. Satoshi Tajiri was also credited at the beginning, who's actually the creator of Pokémon.
this was like three different segments disguised as one and it made for a very strange viewing experience when watching this live
1:50:00 People complained about audio in zsnes because they kept messing around with the audio settings even though the author kept saying not to-- default settings didn't make games sound like that
"take the wheel Jesus... I didn't mean backseating" that's a great one 11:24
15:32 "Purple Uzi that shoots goo" now you can call it that, but how about Oozi, like ooze + uzi?
Let's not forget that it's purple. The best name would be POOZI
Oozi nein millimeetah
Jelly Boy (as in Jelly Boy 1) was released in the States as Smart Ball with several features removed, like the story stuff that the Japanese version had. The Jelly Boy box art Vinny showed was for an entirely different Jelly Boy, which, judging by the large Ocean logo it was probably made in Europe.
Edit: forgot that it's called Jerry Boy because Japan has trouble with L's and R's...
Harry's Legend? The BOUGIEST of BEAT 'EM UPS! This is definitely accurate to the movie, remember? You could've called this game "BIRD VS CAMEL", and no one would've argued with you!
Don't forget the flying eggplant~
Maaan, 1910 times were SCAAAAARY!
That song is a BOP
At least the title screen was a pretty good recreation of one of the book’s covers.
i need someone other than myself to acknowledge that some of the text in the bottom left at 13:27 says "gimme more semen semen"
Can confirm, that is indeed written there
i dont know what else it is supposed to be
It also looks like "all your are belong to us"
Also it doesn't say semen it says aomon twice, or comon
The top thing on the left says target
The bottom says "Mangeo des (or der) pocky (or pucky or puaky or poaky), itcheo (or it ahe or itaheo) des genguru.
(Mangeo des Pocky, itcheo des genguru)
@@Hithere-uz6wdalso it says "Somebody once told me"
@@fixedfunshow Actually it says "Somebodys et us up the bomb"
Or "Somebodys stufup the bomb"?
The old ZSNES segment takes me way back. This is how I first experienced both FFIII/VI and CT some decades ago, as well as FFII/IV. II/IV wasn't too bad... except ZSNES couldn't handle transparency in the Mist Cave.
I did play these, properly, on the PSX rereleases when we got those. Just yeah... I'm always keen on that wind sound. It's wrong, but it's incredibly haunting with the pitchbent vox sample.
The crusty SNES emulator sounds like what having an ear infection feels like.
Chip's Challenge superfan here. Chip's Challenge was actually originally released on the Atari Lynx, not DOS. Also, there's a hack for the NES prototype that fixes some of its issues, like some missing levels. Actually, speaking of levels, the NES port's levels are in a different order than every other version of the game, and there's even a level that's entirely exclusive to it! If anyone reading this is interested in the game, the Lynx original was actually just ported to Switch, and is only $3, so go pick it up if you want to try it!
If you are superfan you better be aware of the super Mario 64 hack based on it.
I enjoy playing the Lynx original on an emulator, but I had no idea it got an official Switch port. Sadly never saw or owned a Lynx handheld myself.
Thank you for mentioning it, I'll be picking it up. Many people remember the Microsoft version of Chip's Challenge from back in the day fondly but few have played the Lynx version which is arguably superior thanks to some nice music and animations.
There were many official and fan made ports of it available for various platforms over the years but none of them fully captured the charm of the original in my opinion.
@@Hithere-uz6wd I'm very aware of that! Simpleflips played it once. There's also romhacks for both Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 that replace Sonic with Chip.
1:23:05 OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE NAME OF THAT GAME FOR YEARS
I remember playing it one time when I was like 12 and the only thing I could ever remember about it was the melody 😭
I love that Vinny's Fred Flintstone voice is the same as his "SUSHI, COLD FISH" Deckard voice. This man can do dozens of different voices and they will all become Watto in the end. Looking forward to it.
vinny can do dozens of impressions, and four whole voices
Yes even Vinny has made that joke before
I hope whoever makes the crusty sound emulation pack includes Tales of Phantasia despite the language barrier. The game is filled with voice acting, and its opening track is a song with lyrics.
When Pizza Delivery Mario dies, he does the Family Guy death pose, and when Pocohontas dies, she gets Thanos-snapped. These were ahead of their time.
I do love 40 Winks immensely, pretty jank controls but if you decide to learn how to ride that unicycle-esque difficulty-curve it's pretty fun, aesthetics are beautiful and atmosphere is always peak. Quality voice acting and music. You get to pulp T-rexes to death with bare fists, right on the schnoz.
There's an alien chapter that's so good at capturing the classic grays era
I think people hate it because they can't get over the controls
It’s such a Brit-classic, yeah it’s known for being kinda janky, but almost every British kid with a PS1 had it (including me and my sibling) weirdly I don’t have many memories of the game itself but specifically the box art, same with Theme Park World, another Brit game lol
The PS1 version of 40 Winks had atrocious stiff controls due to the lack of analogue. The N64 version plays much better, you have more precision over your movement and speed.
For me it's a make or break difference. The PS1 version is near unplayable which is a shame considering the superior N64 version got cancelled after poor PS1 sales.
It's not a bad game by any means if you don't mind the controls. A bit unoriginal but fun to play.
@@Fuchsfein My ps1 had analogue that I used for this game
@@user199x It supported the analogue controls? That's cool, I really didn't know.
I'll give that a try in an emulator. Probably makes it equal to the N64 version then.
This is almost a greatest hits of SNES/NES beta streams from a few years ago
"Oops, mom bought an Atari" is the new "next time, I'll tell you the secret of Yoda's Hut."
That end part giving me flashbacks to the Classic SNES Games (Just Like You Remembered Them) from 8 years ago, in fact I'm sure those sounds are damn near identical.
Vinny would go nuts over the music in the arcade version of radikal bikers. It’s absolutely ridiculous
1:19:51 New Grand Dad unlocked
Now you can play as Grand dad
34:45 certified hood classic
28:30 Vinny finally plays Blaster Master Zero 3
1:50:15
holy shit i remember the wind sounds being fucked on my snes9x back in the day, it would only randomly happened sometimes but it made climbing mount woe in chrono kinda funny
although it wasn't nearly as fucked as the rest of it, mostly just the wind
if you would've told me that there was a game where you play as Abe Lincoln in Pompei, i probably would have believed it, but even then its still weird
I really like the Spiderman Ninja Gaiden hack at 1:11:30. I'm suprised it wasn't on alot of famiclones. This segment was a good stand in for the Atari segment. Also Duke Togo cameo at 1:06:57
joel played the spiderman one on a multicart once. i _think_ it was the same one as grand dad
"The pizza got cold and then I was arrested"
As it should be. Cold pizza is an affront to humanity.
Cold pizza is the best dang breakfast you'll ever have.
@@Yuuri066 Just wait until you try hot cold pizza
FF3 Terra's theme played on a wet noodle and the Chrono trigger main theme played on a out of tune electric kazoo
1:01:18 Ah yes, the story of Pochohonos, who meets a man from Broton named Joon Smoth.
34:27 yo I used to have a shitty dance mat famiclone thing that looked so similar to this and I swear it had the exact same version of Butterfly on it, unexpected nostalgia
That lion king game looked painful to control.😐
A lot of people are complaining about this stream being nothing but 10 seconds of each game before moving on to the next, but you can't really blame Vinny when the pack creator has provided zero context besides the odd custom name.
They treated it like a corruption pack, so Vinny is naturally going to do the same. And that works for corruptions because they're designed to be funny or interesting straight away, but for random uncorrupted ROMs, it doesn't.
Those 'spooky noises' streams would absolutely suck if they were just 2 hours of Vinny playing some .mp3 files that somebody emailed him, but because the creator also provided a lot of context for each individual sound, it suddenly becomes an interesting stream.
Because all of these have been provided with no context, there's really nothing noteworthy about them from an entertainment perspective, so of course they're going to be barreled through with relative apathy.
Its probably the emailers first contribution?
That's like 10+ hours of work and you aren't even getting paid.
@@FredericJohnsen Yeah have you seen the corruption stockpiles?
Nah that's a generous description of how the pack creator treated it. The pack creator treated it like vomit.
Escape From Atlantis' pixel art is Cheetahmen tier lmao
It’s somehow WORSE than Cheetahmen, at least you could tell they were cheetah people, not whatever the fuck creature the guy in Atlantis is supposed to be lmao
It's from Color Dreams. What did you expect, a good game? Crystal Mines is the only exception around here buddy.
40 Winks on the PS1 was a fun time. It's not too hard, either. Only thing that can be annoying is trying to find some of the collectibles.
I also got free Felix the cat shoelaces from Wendy’s
Nice shoelaces
Thia is gonna be GRAND.
Feels like Vinny got one-guy'd by an old dev at Robotech trying to get people to like their broken-ass games lol
"And don't forget to eat those hamburgers with the special beef to fortify your body. You know, _those_ hamburgers. With the _special_ beef. Wink, wink."
Zombies Inconvenienced My Classmates (that kid even looks like Zeke!)
Vinny lives on Staten Island yet he doesn't love hockey. What a waste. My heart is broken...
Vinny doesn't know about the further mario version of pizza pop's mario
Has Vinny played World Reborn before? That intro felt so familiar to me.
Ive seen Chip and Dale War Crime Rangers before!

I actually had a dream once that Harry Potter was remade as a series of kung fu movies.
vinny: "repeat bit"
ah yes, as opposed to all those non repeat bits vinny does. he's famous for never repeating a joke
Youre gonna hate twitch chat
Never expected to be so fascinated by smelly caveman. Weegee. Diablo reminds me of the gameboy trash streams so nice.
Aside from pitch shenanigans, fucked up ZSNES actually sounds better than real Super Famicom Sound
Since it gets rid of the muffled sound
Chip N Dale in Vietnam. Ah, yes. Many forget about the lost years after they grew up and went to Vietnam. When they came back, they were never the same. Thus we never seen them again in anything. They can still smell the napalm in the mornings.
Damn, he was going through these so fast I didn't really get anything out of it.
sponge's composition of gato's theme sent me
I still have 40 Winks for PS1, tho here it's called Ruff and Tumble. Used to love it but was also a small bab and didn't know much about video games
I remember playing Spellcraft back when i was around 10 years old. And of course not undestanding how the combat works, until realising that i could attack pressing the up button. Seriously, since when pressing up is a good idea for an attack?
Broooo chips challenge unlocked so many memories
same tbh
omg.... those dos emulation sound effects bring me back... first time i ever saw chrono trigger outside renting it 2 or 3 times at blockbuster was emulated in dos
yea this segment shouldve been split up into like 2 or 3 separate segments tbh
1:20:12 excuse me is that the fucking chack’n pop game start song
I think it’s so he can say in the future that he’s already played them and not die
So Kien is getting a full release and you can buy a cartridge for it.
Lost Vikings is the greatest game Blizzard has ever put out and I'm not dying on this hill cause I have the high ground.
Hockey is a professional sport in which people roam the wilds for wild Hockey game to hunt
Hey, to whoever ends up putting together the awful music pack, you should see if _Plok_ sounds like ass in this emulator. It's known for having one of the best soundtracks on the Super Nintendo.
1:45:13 This part of the music sounds like Permanent Spine Damage
Dance Extreme was spectacular
42:02 Thanks Melpert for recognizing our relationship. I'll be your best archnemesis ever. Far better than that one guy who misunderstood that you're supposed to be a goofy comic villain, and not actually evil. Oh the treachery. As your enemy what vile hijinks shall I get up to now?
Guess I could always feed your local ducks bread again. Til' next time, hero!
It's funny, because Eggplant IS actually a fruit, botanically speaking. It's a berry. We just treat it as a vegetable in the kitchen (known as a "Culinary Vegetable") because of its flavor and texture, same as Tomato (also a berry, and thus a fruit).
That Crusty Chrono music almost sounds like Earthbound at times.
bint becomes tikitoki next clip incarnate
When the pizza gets cold you get arrested.
*_GRAND DAD_*
I love that Harry’s Legend game is basically Titenic, and yes, that’s how it’s spelt.
Thanks JonTron.
I like how you said "and yes that's how it's spelt" even though you didn't spell it correctly
@@Hithere-uz6wdNot sure if serious, but yes, I know it’s Titanic.
There’s a hack out there that’s just basically what Vinny played but instead it’s Titanic themed instead of Harry Potter themed and it’s called Titentic
*Titenic
@@Ashkihyena Look at how you spelt titenic in your comment.
@@Hithere-uz6wd Alright, I had to relook at Jon’s video again and yes, ironically enough I misspelled a word that was already misspelled to begin with.

oh god the escape from atlantis XD
Three Lani Minellas in one room.

Grand Dad Blue ?!
chapters plsss
Kien (annoying ghost game) is actually getting an official GBA cartridge release this year so that’s kinda neat
eggplant is a fruit. It has seeds
fuck you i wish can created a youtube channel earlier than me
Why was S Factor here? I heard that one was good, I never tried it
I wonder if vinny is ever going to realise that his bit of frequently insisting certain characters are really into certain fetishes just comes off as projection
So Vinny has every fetish known to man?
It doesn't make for very compelling viewing when Vinny plays each game for like a minute or two tops. At that point he might as well just show us a screenshot of the game and read the background info his vetting team gives him and then move on to the next one.
It's ok depending on which one.
Er I mean gasssp!!! Did you just give a mild complaint or criticism on a channel you otherwise clearly enjoy!!?? Freak!!!
True, but I think that's on whoever compiled the pack as opposed to Vinny. Even speeding through it took him over two hours to finish. This definitely needed to be split in 2 or even 3 different segments.
You're making a mountain out of a mole hill.
I don't mind just sampling strange games and moving on to the next one, seems fine to me
The problem is Vinny wants games that are interesting or funny within one second of booting, and his curation team are not remotely in synch with that. A lot of games featured also don't really make sense in that there isn't really anything for vinny to talk about unless he plays it for like 40 minutes
