PH is still big though it's also an archipelago but unlike JP that the prefectures/regions have land connection/bridges (except Hokkaido).
As i've discovered just yesterday, their place might seem big but Japan has a big geographical problem. Only 12% of its land is suitable for farming. And Japan is also very mountainous country, there are only few places which one can make a shelter.
That's why Tokyo has a very big population density. I think you can find thay video here, the title is something to do with "Japan's geographical problem".
Use the Gall-Peters map. It's more right than the Mercator map.

Actually even if I’m half japanese and half filipino. I’d choose to stay here in Philippines. Although I love Japan, but Philippines for me felt more like a home. Based on my experience I was staying in Japan from my childhood and I was born there but I got a chance to visit Philippines and I fell in love with the country. As soon as I get back in Japan I ask and beg for my family there that I want to stay in the Philippines and I’m glad they were very supportive of my decision.

This is why I love japan more than SoKor. We do have harsh history but we never lived in the past and eventually moved on.
@Flow Em Yes it doesn't change the fact that the Japanese did some bad things, but what people are mistaken about is it's not the entire Japanese populace that did those bad things, it was their government. Also, those Japanese people that did those stuff are long dead, so getting over it does make sense compared to an entire race clinging to traumas they themselves never experienced. If the Japanese people now are the same as they were before then sure, they can keep their trauma, but things have changed, people have changed.

I love my country but I'm thankful for what some koreans have done(except for the flag, it's our pride and as someone who love history, especially ours, ofc I'd be mad seeing our flag being torn apart whether even if the one who did it was my fellow filipino). I'm thankful for the korean because there are so many filipino especially the girls who want to be a foreigner(like korean or america, or other first world countries) and aren't proud of their nationality and even denying their own nationality. they're even comparing the Philippines to other countries and saying "I DON'T WANT TO BE PINOY ANYMORE", this is the reason why I hate some of my fellow filipinos, but thanks to that random ignorant korean, some of my fellow filipinos start being interested in our own history and started being proud as a Filipino instead of fantasizing about their american dream(lol before, they're more interested about kpop than knowing their history, well, I don't hate kpops, but like what I said, I hate some of my fellow filipinos, they're viewing them as gods, they're even comparing those lightstick thing to our flag)

This is awfully true especially in my case.
Went to Japan with my schoolmates just this year as part of our school program. One time while we're boarding a train in Tokyo, my schoolmates went in the train like the Filipinos they are, all screaming and pushing each other, being the complete opposite of how Japanese people acts.
I was so ashamed of their actions back then and I'm surprised we didn't get called out for that lol
Indeed Japanese people have a deeper sense of humility, appreciation and understanding. Worthy of respect I'd say, unlike those who have humble and loving facades but are really full of themselves in reality. What are they called again? Ko? Kro? Kor? I would try explaining people and my honest thoughts in japanese since i was once in Japan 2 years ago
I would say they are very kind,and even they really arent that good in english,they still tried there best explaining on what like stations should we go ETC. And whenever we needed help or smt,they would give us a big smile :>
And my perpective in japan its that it was super cold LOL or maybe im used to heat,since in philipines its always hot lol and the weather changes frequently to rain to hot
And japan is SO clean and very organized,and it has so much things to buy and choose from xd
And they were even kind enough to give us free snack,idk whats it called but it was like a banana shaped bread with banana filling inside,
Oh and a women gave me a free lollipop xd idk why she gave me one but i thank her by saying "Arigato" since i only knew few words in japanese
And its very refreshing there too tho i cant bear the coldness so when i came back i had a flu LOL
And they are VERY respectful,oh some of them are tall so my mom got scared lol
But all i can say that people are too kind in japan and i was happy they said good compliments about philipines

As a Filipino, I'd like to visit Japan one day! Im practicing speaking Japanese because i would like to greet some Japanese peoples.I really like kawaii stuffs, and i do like sanrio characters! My fav is Melody and Cinnamon roll, maybe i could find those in Japan! My mom was thinking/planning about going to Japan, but sadly, quarantine and corona virus ruined it :( truly sad that Philippines is the the number one most active covid19 cases. But i believe, corona will end! This is so wholesome to watch. I recommend them going to Boracay or Bohol, its so beautiful there, even me would like to go back there, in Bohol, you can see some Tarsier's there. ^^

I've been a big fan of Japan since I was a kid and I would love to go to Japan as well. Not just the ifluence of animes but I also appreciate their culture and visit their shrines and museums someday! I'm learning my Japanese on my own though lol XD
