DCS is so big and complicated it's really nice to have clear and concise videos to teach and remind about things like this that make it more fun and immersive. Thank you.
when it reached the last WP and went to WP0 it stoped there !! but when i make it go from the last WP to WP1 it works perfecut and start patrolling !! realy thanks for your efforts !! learned alot from your MI tutorials
Yes, any unit movement causes some degree of lag. ED are working to make pathing better but it has been an issue for a long time. I usually try to spread the groups out, not sure if that helps 🤣😬
@@DCSChopsticks i tested this a bit, i had the lag because of the advanced waypoint action „go to wp“ and when he has to search for a path to wp 0. if i removed all of that advanced waypoint option from all units, i had no lag with the same amount of units. on the server the host has to calculate that path and there is no lag on my side. cant wait for multicore to resolve those issues because more cpu-power should be available.
The AI is dumb sometimes. Make sure the skill is set to one of the two higher levels. Try a different unit. Try altering the route slightly. Try changing between "on road" and "off road" in the route type. It's also possible that the latest update has introduced a bug or changed how the waypoints work.
ok i guess i found the "reason". you have to leave the "basic/preset" speed. if you change the speed, once reached waypoint 0 (or 1) the unit stops. But if i do not change the speed, then it works.... go figure why.
Simple and effective! And yes I am still making videos when I can 😬

Nice! And thanks, was wondering not long ago how to do that..
It was for a test mission so I ended spamming waypoints everywhere haha

Thank you, Im glad you enjoy them 👍

Same problem for me but also is a point to "go to waypoint 1" is stops at waypoint 1... i don't get what is wrong.
If you use to many of those, lagging can appear in single player when they go back to waypoint 0. in Multiplayer it usually works fine, idk why.

Well apparently we will get that this year so 🤞.
So mine just runs off the road, does a tiny circle and stops. Doesnt even attempt to follow the path?

somehow it does not work to me... i goes to waypoint 0 and then stand still....
