Sometimes you wonder why Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments stopped using items competitively. This is why. Items are extremely unbalanced and you get an upper hand if you get good RNG.

Simna ibn Sind Yes but not close to me... AZNAZN I already tried Dolphin, this is a total fail. Fucking lags. Maybe my laptop isn't powerful enough, maybe I didn't set up correctly; Don't know. But people on Smashboards say there is a lag/frame difference between IRL & Online even if you make it work, like in Soul Calibur IV. That's why top players travel between the continents to play together IRL. Even the TV can change the lag, you need cathodic ones, that's why T.O use those pain-in-the-ass huge and heavy TV on tournaments...

I don't know if it makes me a scrub that I know that the ReDead that came from the item are the same ones that appear in Melee's adventure mode, or if it makes these guys scrubs that they apparently weren't aware of that.

GoldenPuppy14 Yes it is, particularly from ocarina of time. In melee, sometimes random enemies from adventure mode appear out of party balls, crates, or capsules.

Items were a thing. 2 types of smash tournies styles emerged when the game came out. East Coast and West Coast. One of the differences was that West Coast did items.

I miss how often items drop in Melee. In Sm4sh, even at the highest drop rate, it's not quite as chaotic!
OMG that really fuckin hurts. I have such like a gamer grudge on Nintendo co. and all other game developers for making boundaries inside of their game development companies to not allow another video game be as good and as deep as Melee is so that they can always replace the next game and not have it live forever.
You telling me that DOES NOT surprise me about the newer SMASH's its sad that they decided to take on this monopoly and i feel bad for yall for having those experiences as a SMASH BROS. player. It's cool to see people still playing melee again, and casually to have fun FOR ONCE. Mostly when you see people playing melee, it's always about "2 or 3 stock fox/falco only" "shines, top teir, high tier, bottom tier, wavedashing/L canceling ect." Last I checked the game was a really fun party game to just sit down with you're friends, play as you're favorite nintendo character and have fun. It's rare that I ever see anyone playing melee casually with items on since most people who play it only concentrate on competitive play.

I got an idea!
Go Tiny Melee, choose any character, Yoshi’s story only. If you touch the high platform or the bottom platform, you have to walk off! If you touch RANDALL, you must fall off! Only one of the side platforms. Now here’s the twist. Turn on Super Mushrooms and set it on VERY HIGH! If a Super Mushroom spawns in, all platforms are available to walk on! When the SM falls of or the duration of the item is over, return to one of the sides and continue!

Austin Baker Alright, allow me to explain why items arent allowed. The items are spawned at random spots on the stage, giving advantages to whatever player happened to be closer. That is unneeded randomness which isnt good for a competitive setting.
