He should have did it while he was laying down. Kaz rage drive can pick you up grounded i think. Had one guy do that to me recently unless it was a fluke.

If you watch character's breakdowns, you'll know that every character is so fucking open when fought with smart ass strong opponent.
Nonetheless, Steve and Hwoarang are Kazuya's worst matchups because the only way to deal with them is pressuring them back to stop their crazy tornado, instead of blocking and punish, or backdashing
Kaz pressure and plus game suck, and he needs a lot of space to function, which Steve and Hwoarang are not going to afford him.
@@kakacech Kazuya has only easy high damage combos but you can sidewalk left almost everything. Dj is superior in everything with a stupid broken real 50/50 game, there is no point to use kazuya but if you like his design.

TMM is not the strongest player. He only uses key moves because playing so many characters gives you memory loss at moves
Also he tries hard instead of chilling and using dumpass/various moves
I just watched a video of him using Jin against a Yoshi.
I consider Jin a better character, yet he did way worse than this.

If someone sticks to the character, doesn't play to win, but to improve, they can do insane shit.
Hellsweep and electric are not the only options Kaz has. Repeating shit is how MainMan plays and it's not paying off

Steve is my secondary main and goddamn is this guy insane, his conversions were incredible.
Seriously i main steve and want to get better with him i have issues with mixups and virtually no lows but this guy makes him look incredible.
@@davonlawrence7166 he takes SO MUCH practice, you can tell by this guys combo conversions and mid combo adjustments that he knows the character like the back of his hand. I mean he is at TGP with like 700 wins or something, with Steve that is no easy feat. Hes probably been playing him since T5 or something.

As someone who mains Steve this is the Steve player I aspire to be, but I'm absolutely nowhere near this guy's level lmao.
I wish I could do some nasty pressure like this guy does, but in Red Ranks everyone just mashes buttons and won't respect you enough to not be attacking every second.
That’s why he pauses in between. You apply pressure to make the opponents do something punishable or a down 1. If they keep down 1ing then you catch on to the pattern and low parry it. That’s how you play tekken.
U have to trust ur frames brother, apply preesure but use safe moves and sidestepping

Entonton yes he’s strong. But he is a poke and counter hit style fighter. Yeah you can pressure, but there’s a lot of highs and not very high damaging lows. His lows aren’t launch punishable which is good, but he can’t bully you like most. Unless you know what you are doing with Steve you will get killed.
People be really disrespecting TMM's skill because he loses to this Steve? Not only an insult to TMM, but also an insult to this great Steve. This guy plays magnificently, very strong... people underestimating him don't even have 10% of his skill.

23:42 one of the most obvious hellsweeps in history.. almost 80% of kazuya players make this mistake... which is the behavior or kazuya player suddenly running to your face then suddenly crouch to do something.. 99% of time it is a hell sweep... especially if the kazuya player is desperate for hit.. kazuya players shouldn't naively use it against none flustered players standing back at distant with almost full health .. they can easily telegraph it on instant..
I think it's because trying to go for a f,f+3 in that situation feels unsafe in that situation due to the slower startup (while CD into f,f+4 is both slow and stubby). I know that's what I'm thinking if I'm presented with that scenario and I don't know what to do to close the gap. I would rather have a mid but all my mid options feel like the wrong call.
Though in Devil mode you can do something like f+1+2 (or I guess with Season 4 you could try running up with a crouch dash into WS 1+2).

i dunno i think steves pretty good but i prefer to use the more aggressive peekaboo to flicker so mean if not using alot of back strings to keep in flicker steve's actually pretty good...just see a lot of defensive flicker and its good for a back dash and fades fast so can move into next string but get what ppl saying from a defensive/flicker can be very hard to pin down.
Loving watching this just because steve is winning some of the matches lol but I gotta say your Kazuya is a legend, you just had a disadvantage because most tekken players are familiar with Kazuyas moves.

In other words TMM got destroyed by the best Steve he has played against online so far. No other Steve is even close. This is apparent when you see DeaDeyes almost impossible conversions(excluding df+2 combo), insane CH baiting with lows and mids, and incredible defense/mobility.
