To me the music of Lego games, be they from classic games like Chess or Legoland or from newer games like Bricktales or Drive, has something uniquely serene to it. I feel my inner child summoned every time I get to hear these joyful tunes!
Weird yet nice chord progressions. To this day I sometimes I get reminded of this bgm when listening to music, so I guess this made a lasting impact impression on me
compatibility mode? I found this game a few seconds ago and I wanted to hear the sound again. I'm going to try this game tomorrow. let's see if it'll run on windows 8...
Animiles Well i can run lego Rock Raiders (which is also made by Data Design in about year 2000) without problems - but the disc with legoland have dissappeared years ago :(
You can actually. It's a bit buggy, but it worked for me on my Windows 10. If you install LEGOLAND on a pc that CAN run the game ex. a Windows XP machine. After the install, you locate the installed LEGOLAND files on the XP machine, copy all the files from the install directory, over to a USB an run it on your windows 7/8/10 WITH Windows xp compatibility and admin rights enabled.
I've got Legoland to work on my windows 10 with no issues. I downloaded a hacked installer by some guy who was able to work around some code thing, so all I had to do was install his version of the game and run it using Windows XP settings. Oh, but you still need a disc
***** I didn't have either of those. Didn't have my own money back in the day and Lego was still just as expensive as it is now It's actually hard to remember what I had, aside from Star Wars I can't think of any one theme I was into. I had a lot of stuff, Still like to entertain the idea of buying some used 80s 90s sets that I wanted as a child.
LuNi.Fi I do. I also remember that just weeks after I managed to beat all of the Time Race my dad started a defragmentation on our PC which resulted in losing ALL of the save files for the Lego Racers. Saying that my brother and I were sad and angry would be an understatement.
Reading all this comments of sound effects are making me cry from nostalgia. I forgot all about this and how good this game was. Now I can only think of the sounds the people would make when you pick them up
"Du kannst doch nicht auf die Besucher drauf baun'!" "_Das_ kann nicht auf eine Pflanze gesetzt werden." ...are my two favourite sentences in the german dub i remember till this day.
My God the amount of time I wasted playing this game as a kid...it was such a nice, relaxing game, though. One of the ones I played after a long day at school...
Yeah. I have a windows 10 and the disk. using some installer I found online (as well as having the computer troubleshoot compatibility so it'll open the file using windows XP settings), I was able to play the game in its entirety (even cut-scenes work)
If you try it this way, it may work. It's a bit buggy, but it worked for me. If you install LEGOLAND on a pc that CAN run the game ex. a Windows XP machine. After the install, you locate the installed LEGOLAND files on the XP machine, copy all the files from the install directory, over to a USB an run it on your windows 7/8/10 WITH windows xp compatibility and admin rights enabled
I got the CD for this somewhere. My grandparents bought it to me to pc when I was about 4-5 years old. It was a bundle with this, Lego Castle Game and Lego Racers. Such memories. Only that I didn't understand anything of that lego castle thing..
I cant find my LEGOLAND game-worth a look as I really want to play it now. I don't really remember the music all that well but I vaguely remember the chorus of this. I wasn't that interested in this as a kid- I liked games like LEGO Island but now I love theme parks I want it so bad.
I have a 32 bit computer that i installed it on than copy the files back to my 64 bit and the game would open but as soon as i got passed the introdution stuff if crashed
Actually, I got the game to run on windows 10. I have a windows 10 and the disk. using some installer I found online (as well as having the computer troubleshoot compatibility so it'll open the file using windows XP settings), I was able to play the game in its entirety (even cut-scenes work)

Never played all missions. I got a Bug that i never pass. In one Mission The Money is Missing and is under one of the Buildings. I do as he said and delete one, build it new and so on, but never found the Money, even after erase the complete Park.
Totally false. It will not INSTALL on 64-bit computers. it plays just fine. go to the URL rockraidersunited(dot)org/topic/4476-how-to-install-legoland-on-a-64-bit-computer
I miss the pre-TT days of Lego games... now everything is a movie tie-in with complicated gameplay and annoying dialogue... and all made by ONE company, which is under the suspicious ownership of Warner Bros... (Don't get me wrong, Lego Movie: The Movie was great. But, other recent discussions and an overexposure of that BatmanFreak does point out agenda..)
it's not in the files as far as i know. Lego Island is the only one of those old lego games i know of that re-used the intro music as an in-game track. most of them had a bad habit of not doing that (except for loco which just outright used the video track with sound effects as the menu music for some reason?), which is a shame cuz like the Rock Raiders intro music is cool but there's no way to hear it without sound effects. but yeah, sadly most of those tracks aren't accessible.
If you're talking about the songs that play in the watch legoland movies option, I dont think they are named. I havent tried searching for them, though. Actually, maybe I should upload the cutscenes....
"You aren't doing to bad, but you still need more variety in your scenery!"
My 5-year-old self: _"W H A T D O E S T H I S M E A N !?!?!?!?!?!"_
So let me get this straight, you're telling me planting 300 small conifer trees in a square isn't enough variety?
I put in way too much scenery and 'variety' that it didnt work so ill always fail haha, good times back then
When I was a kid, the tutorial levels were so difficult!
Tell me about it. I made charts for these levels. ON PAPER!
You need more scenery.
Tree Tree Tree Tree Tree Flower Shrub Tree Tree Tree Tree. It never ends but the game and its theme will still be incredibly nostalgic...

Yeah, I guess it's meant to not be too distracting, but yeah it's a strange progression lol
I wish i could run legoland on Windows 7. It was such a great part of my childhood :(

Such memories... Too bad i've never been able to beat the game, got stuck on the india level.
the last level is absolute hell. you need greenery out the ass and dinosaurs and aliens wreck your shit a couple times.
India was my worst nightmare. I hated those aliens.
I couldn't even get past the tutorial because of a glitch
I beated the last level, its very hard.
I made it to the wild west level.
