Thank you for reacting to this song Bob Seger's one of the greatest singers of all time and a great Entertainer Night Moves one of the most classic awesome songs I've ever heard. He said in an interview put out his first live album and six months later night moves came out and they were both Platinum it was overnight kind of thing for Mr Bob Seger he said in that interview he went from station wagons to Jet's in a heartbeat lol and now Night Moves multi-platinum selling album and also his live album so it's kind of pretty cool to me that he had that success back in the day if you're a fan of Bob Seger's as much as I am you got to get that album Night Moves and listen to that whole album there's some classic hits on I recommend it I just want to say thank you for listen to it for the first time your new fan Chris
The thing about this era is that you’re watching a video that informs in part your reaction to the song whether you know it or not. When this song came out in the ‘70s, I was a teenager and all we could do was imagine what he sang about.
This man has to be one of the greatest solo artists of all time. Soul, Funk, or Rock, Bob Seger is the man. He has so many great songs from the 70s and 80s.
I really enjoy watching you young people getting the same feelings we got from the music from the 70's and 80's. Heard you guy's were from Indiana. We live in North Carolina now, but my wife is from Newcastle Indiana. I'll be sure to let her know that you guys are Hoosiers. Keep up the good music and reactions.
The familiar face at the drive-in is Matt LeBlanc...he played "Joey" on FRIENDS. Also, people would sneak people in to drive-in's ..hide them in the trunk, etc. 🙂 Bob Seger is great music. I thought you all just recently reacted to one of his classic hits: Old Time Rock-n-Roll...?
I attended my first rock concert in Chicago in '74. The headliners were Bachman, Turner, Overdrive. The opening act was a young singer named Bob Seger! It was fun!
He’s from Detroit. Tons of great songs. Roll Me away, Betty Lou, Katmandu, Rock n Roll Never Forgets, The Famous Final Scene, Horizontal Bop, and Feel A Number are just a few. Just a great all around singer, songwriter, piano player, guitar player, and person.
Can't go wrong with Bob Seger, he has several great songs. He's a master storyteller who has an amazing voice. You know his song "Like a Rock".. some others are "Against the Wind", "We've Got Tonight", "Strut", "Turn the Page", "Old Time Rock n Roll"... among others
You really can't understand this song until you've lived enough life to understand that line *_"with Autumn closing in..."_* and you can feel it in your bones. That's when it's real.
His best may be Turn The Page and Like A Rock (growing up in Detroit he gave the song to GM to use in a Chevy commercial.) Like A Rock had a great story, great vocals, great backing music especially Rick Vito's haunting slide guitar.
Bob Seger Is awesome song writer and singer. He has so many great songs you can't go wrong. Loved him in concert in Philly in 85 or 86, not sure I have seen over 100 bands all from 81- 89. Loved you guys n your reactions. 👍
Bob is the epitome of American music . A true national treasure. If you are an American you can relate. And for non American's that love Bob, my hat's off to you.
"With autumn closin' in." is one of my all time favorite moments in rock music history. Night Moves is about a boy arriving at that moment where he realizes his youth has run its course and adulthood beckons. The time has come to put aside youthful pursuits of love, laughter, pleasure, and take up responsibilities. That verse: "I woke last night to the sound of thunder. How far off I sat and wondered? Started hummin a song from 1962. Ain't it funny how the night moves. When you just don't seem to have as much to lose. Strange how the night moves. With autumn closin' in." Summer's end and Autumn's approach are the changing of the seasons mirroring his personal transition into adulthood.
Great review. I've seen Bob Seger in concert a couple of times. Great show. By the way people did get into the trunk of cars right before they got to the drive-in if they charged per person. Turn the Page is probably his best song. Although all his songs are very good.
That's a good one! Also...Against the Wind is a timeless classic, a very meaningful song, especially for those of us who first heard it when it came out in the 1970's. Damn! Time sure flies by......
Another great song where he reflects on his past is Like A Rock. It's also a song you'll probably recognize; In fact I'd be surprised if you haven't heard the chorus. Great guitar in in it too; check it out.
My favorite songs from Bob are Old Time Rock And Roll,Turn The Page,Fire Lake, and Against The Wind. But it is hard to find a bad song of Bob.He retired for awhile but is back singing again.
This song brings back memories for me. In particular when this came out I was living in Nebraska and at the time the drinking age was 19 so buddy and I hooked up with a couple of chicks and drove down to Kansas where the drinking age was 18. On the way there we were playing this album. This song worked perfectly.😎🎸👌
The sound track of my life you can relate to most of his songs. He always painted a picture for you to relate to I play his songs and in my head it plays like a movie .
This was a slightly edited version of the song. This version cuts into the end part more abruptly and fades out. The album version comes builds up the ending to a kind of climax and doesn't fade out.
Great song and a great singer. Love watching you guy Reckless's passion for music is great and his ideas and comments are really as the kids say, "definitely dope". Chrys even though quiet you can tell she's listens intently and picks up on a lot of things others might miss. I've gone back and watched tons of you early stuff, it hooked me like a fish and you guys just reeled me in from there.
Kudos to Muscle Shoals Sound Studio for such a great album. My brother in law is the great guitar player in Night Moves and the famous Mainstreet Lead guitar part....Miss ya Pete Carr ...
Back in the 60s the Twin-Air in Indy and the Greenwood Drive-In back in the Good Old Days!!! A lot of Night Moves back then and the Tee-Pee to go to!!!
Oh Bob Seger is my freebie with my husband lol ….. I have loved this man since I was 12 years old …. His song Roll Me Away , Turn the Page , Shame on the Moon , Fire Lake ….. my ultimate favorite now days is Famous Final Scene we had this one played at our sons Funeral would love to see y’all react to that one .
The lyrics are very metaphoric. Several phrases with double meanings. Like the last line "Strange how the night moves with autumn closing in." And, his double meanings of "lightening" and "thunder".
That's a singing man. His voice has so much soul and feeling it's ridiculous. And he does it effortlessly. Y'all will love Rambling Gambling Man. The version from his Live Bullet album is my favorite. That whole album is amazing. He does a killer cover of the song Bo Didley on it, that's worth a listen also. Better yet, just listen to that whole album. You won't be disappointed.
My favorite song of his is "Turn the Page" but my Spidey senses are telling me Recklezz will like "Against the Wind". His songs were something of a throwback at the time. He was a 70s/80s artist with videos on Mtv just like everyone else, his songs were much more like classic rock. The 80s were interesting in that way because you had all the New Wave and Synthpop of the day but also a lot of people who were tapping into a more classic sound. Off the top of my head I'm thinking of John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band who were more like this/Springsteen, Eddie Money who was more like a Motown/soul singer, the Stray Cats who were Rockabilly, and this group The Blow Monkeys who were going for more of a crooner sound like lounge acts doing Sinatra. The 80s were futuristic and eclectic at the same time. When I get my time machine working I'll bring you guys. That is if I ever come back after testing it. 🤭
@Life- Thanks for this great reaction of the legend Bob seger. One of the all time greats to ever do it. Night moves is one of his better songs. React to another great song of his callled Main Street. You will like it to.
Great reaction! All his songs are sensational but my favorite is "Turn the Page"! I HIGHLY recommend you react to it! He's a Detroit native who made it with his extraordinary voice and song writer!
This is the much more romanticized version of “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” the Meatloaf song where the dude spends the whole song trying to get her to give in, and she tries to get him to commit. More honest though; he’s not pretending love or nothin’. Beautiful break tho. Amazing to listen to at night.
His band argued about a name, and Bob Seeger got tired of hearing it,saw a Coors Silver Bullet beer, and just said that “ your name will be the Silver Bullet Band”….
New subscriber here! Man...I was born in Hammond, Indiana. But...I flew south for the winter and never went back. Lol. Love it here in Bama! Enjoy your reactions. 😊😊✌✌💯💯💯💯💯🤜🤛✊✊
You may have a southern voice and he recorded a lot of stuff down south, at muscle shoals sound studio which was famous place for artists to record. But Bob is actually from up north in Michigan.
Rather than being from the South, Bob Seger's actually from way up North in Detroit, which likely adds some Motown to his sound (and for sure his AMAZING background singers).
We have a new Drive-In here in Terre Haute dude. They redid the old one from when I was a kid and it seems to be doing pretty good. Y'all have to take a drive and check it out sometime.
There's nothing like Bob Segers voice to take you away, he takes you back to your youth, the good ole days lol, but so good 😎👍🇨🇦
bingo!
Thank you for reacting to this song Bob Seger's one of the greatest singers of all time and a great Entertainer Night Moves one of the most classic awesome songs I've ever heard. Thank you!!
'Turn the Page" a great Seger tune. But he has some real rockers too, "Her Strut" is one of those.
Main Street...
"and points of her own sitting way up high..... way up firm and high....." just in case you weren't paying attention to those lyrics at the beginning.
Bob Seger is awesome. The older I get the more relevant I find his music.
I find that I relate different. When I was young I related to the free spirit aspect of his songs. Now I relate to the reflecting aspect of his songs.
I've found this song in particular hits so much harder on the wrong side of forty.
So very true Like a Rock really hits this 55 year guy now never really listen to it when it came out as I was the Rock then not so much the rock now
When you’re older the lyric will, make more sense. Youth fades to memory. Cherish it while you can.
You’re comment is 100% … “youth fades to memory” I ❤ that

His music is timeless been around for over 50yrs. Churned out hit after hit!
I attended my first rock concert in Chicago in '74. The headliners were Bachman, Turner, Overdrive. The opening act was a young singer named Bob Seger! It was fun!

Rosalie too. Although I prefer the Thin Lizzy version these days
@@gamexsimmonds3581 And Against the Wind.
Against the wind and the real love also bangers from Bob seger
He's pretty much from Ann arbor grew up there

Bob Segar is an amazing artist. Thanks for this reaction, I smiled when I saw you were doing brother Bob.
Thank you!!
Love them all but "Against The Wind" and "Like A Rock" are probably my all time favorite Bob Seger songs
Oh yeah, I forgot about that gem!!
To me his song Turn the Page is a masterpiece

Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music
@@officialbobseger39 Nice try clown
Bob grew up about 40 miles from me. I bought the album then and still have it. Along with live bullet.
Bob Seger Is awesome song writer and singer. He has so many great songs you can't go wrong. Loved him in concert in Philly in 85 or 86, not sure I have seen over 100 bands all from 81- 89. Loved you guys n your reactions. 👍

He's a southern soul, but he's born and raised a Michigander like me😎 so many legends have come from the Mitten state🤘💪
Great review. I've seen Bob Seger in concert a couple of times. Great show. By the way people did get into the trunk of cars right before they got to the drive-in if they charged per person. Turn the Page is probably his best song. Although all his songs are very good.

This is a song and a half, his voice is just beautiful, I have this album and I love it 🥰
Another great song where he reflects on his past is Like A Rock. It's also a song you'll probably recognize; In fact I'd be surprised if you haven't heard the chorus. Great guitar in in it too; check it out.
Saw him at his final tour, very last show in Philly. Great show! Sounds just like his albums.
My favorite songs from Bob are Old Time Rock And Roll,Turn The Page,Fire Lake, and Against The Wind. But it is hard to find a bad song of Bob.He retired for awhile but is back singing again.
To me, Seger and Mellencamp, are the great storytellers of Americana.
This song brings back memories for me. In particular when this came out I was living in Nebraska and at the time the drinking age was 19

Bob Seger my gosh. Fantastic
Uncle Bob doesn't have a bad song at all every one is 🔥✌️
You are right about him being a great storyteller!! Might want to try "Against the wind" or "Main street"!!

Bob is definitely a legend 👍👍 this is one of my favorites 👍👍 great choice you two 👍👍❤️🌎✌️

One of Bob Seger's song you might know is "Like Rock". It was it used in the late 90s maybe early 2000s on Chevrolet Truck commercials on tv.
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music?
Back in the 60s the Twin-Air in Indy and the Greenwood Drive-In back in the Good Old Days!!! A lot of Night Moves back then and the Tee-Pee to go to!!!
He's from the midwest, Detroit to be exact. Bob has a soulful voice and grew up listening to soul and blues.
Bob is Detroit's own... Hollywood Nights, Turn the Page and Main St. are solid picks for future reactions.
Ann Arbor own too
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music?

I've lived in Indy since the 70's. There used to be great Drive in theaters. US 31 and Stop 11.The Meridian Drive in,just south of County Line.

Listen again in 15 years when you have your own memories.

There's a decent drive-in just south of Bloomington called The Starlight.
We snuck into the drive-in in the trunk, so we saved money.
Bob Seger is from Ann Arbor Michigan 50 miles west of Detroit Michigan
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music?
Centrioles drive in, in Mooresville, real chill
Just a great MOOD song
I cant understand how you can just sit there...no movement whatsoever. Bob Seger has the best voice and music!
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music

Pure musical Americana..
Seger is Great !
Bob doesn't miss.
Winchester Indiana has a drive-in. It's east of Muncie.
Great story teller!! Love him
Facts!
in about twenty years this will hit different ❤
The cut some of his best vocal off in this cut. You should listen to the album version.
I believe the guy you were talking about in the video was Matt Leblanc from friends who played Joey Tribiani
You may have a southern voice and he recorded a lot of stuff down south, at muscle shoals sound studio which was famous place for artists to record. But Bob is actually from up north in Michigan.
Now Seger at his youngest 1967- Ramblin Gamblin Man
that was Joey from Friends btw.
That’s Matt LeBlac, who plays Joey Tribbani, on Friends.
Bob's from Michigan . I live in northing Indiana. There is a good drive in Coldwater Michigan.
Back when this came out there were drive INS all over not like now ours are rough too( Detroit area
He knows!
Joey from Friends is in that video. Drunk by the way. He was so nervous shooting the video Seger drank a bottle of whiskey with him to relax him.
Thanks you for your kind words and thank you for choosing my music how long have you been listening to my music?
She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes
And points of her own, sittin' way up high
Way up firm and high
Wondering what he is talking about.
That actor is best known as Joey from Friends. Crazy! He must have been about 17.
Hey I live Indiana 50 miles south of Indy. Seger is from Detroit. 💕
Rather than being from the South, Bob Seger's actually from way up North in Detroit, which likely adds some Motown to his sound (and for sure his AMAZING background singers).
Didn't know you guys were in Indy. Very cool.
Cant help but think of that iconic scene in Supernatural hahaha
Classic song
We have a new Drive-In here in Terre Haute dude. They redid the old one from when I was a kid and it seems to be doing pretty good. Y'all have to take a drive and check it out sometime.
