My grandparents lived in Beaverton...right across the street from the big park that used to be there; I guess it's the off-season training center for the Trailblazers now? We would drive down from Brier, WA to visit them as much as we could--this was back in the 80's. I got my jar of Mt. St. Helens ash from their driveway--I was 7 at the time and really don't remember alot of what happened that day. It all looks so much different. In fact, I found out that one of my high school friends grew up there, and, later on in life, they lived out there while her husband was the Portland area Army Recruiting CSM.
