Lucky you! Looks like a ton of fun. Track days ... ahh, haven't done one in many years. I do have the itch though. One of the things I used to do in CA was roll up on my sport-touring bike, loaded up for a few days ride, strip all the luggage off, complete the track day and then head off down the road loaded back up. Yes, my bike was more on the Swiss Army knife side of things (Super Hawk). 🙂
CEO seems like such a genuine guy, really funny😂😂Also they build one hell of a motorcycle. Maybe one day I can afford one or better yet the company gets big enough to sell production models with in house engines.
it weighs 313 lbs.,, so you see these bikes race in the super sport class but they race in there own bracket under there own points for that bracket, so you have 600 and gp2 on track togather but each has its own championships. You see it particularly in British super sport. it is also a race purpose built bike, where super sport are 600 machines you can by in a dealership
Rene talks about all the classes smashed together and trying to figure out which one he's in, imagine the guy on the mic trying to explain it all and keep them straight on the track!
I could never afford it, I go to trackdays in Italy and many have Ducati V4s. This one has an almost the same price and is a much more specialized motorbike. V4 owners don't even know about this gem and they could have it for the same price. I would take this over a V4 straight away.
I can assure you that a lot of V4 owners who attend track days are very well aware of this bike and love everything about it. I was very tempted by this but instead went for a V4R simply to experience the engine for a while. If I had the money I’d definitely have one of these as well but neither my wallet or garage are of sufficient size. 😂 I’ve not ridden the RR but have sat on one and it’s just perfect and surprisingly comfortable ergonomically. Everything’s exactly where it should be. Awesome bike. 👍
It's a beautiful track weapon for sure. Well done! Imagine what we could see without the homologation rules requiring 125 bikes or whatever to be made available! IMHO, motorcycle racing would become a lot more interesting!
PLEASE Santa? I know i have been horribly abusive to my motorcycle, but I always keep it maintained with whatever it needs and I absolutely love it.Ill be better next year i promise. I'm willing to meet wherever necessary so you don't have to worry if it will fit down the chimney or not. Although I'm sure you could do it considering much weight you have lost..Did i mention your looking like a young Arnold these days.
What would be cool is if they would sell just the minimum kit like without motor and wheels etc where one could simply transplant everything from a 890 duke (except things like OE lighting) Now I know it might be slightly problematic to not have the stock bikes fram serial number but hey it would still have th motor number so I think one could get away with it...it would ust be fun to have and ride on the street soment so special ....yes it would be a challenge to fin everying into the chassis

I just found this comment, though five months late. As the owner of KMC USA, I know what bike and customer you are referring to. I, along with several of our staff members, have openly said this is one of our favorite bike liveries here in the USA. And we just sent him parts this last week. So, these claims could not be further from the truth.
Im not wild about the subframe/fuel tank whilch might initially sound like a wonderful idea but my experience with THAT on my 2020 KTM690 is that tank cracked for no apparent reason and spewed gasoline just forward of the rear wheel. Warranty covered that but you know Kramer is not going to be and the OEM KTM part alone was 1800+ dollars AFTER a discount and then there had to be a fuel pump install kit and labor so just guessing a Framer tank will be at least 2500 bucks to replace and that is bare plastic ie no paint....can you imagine leaking fuel onto your rear wheel on 150mph straight into a highspeed sweeper?
That is not how that fuel tank is made. The Rotomold rear tank of the Krämer has been tested over and over, testing to the max flipping the bikes end over end
These defineitly dont need traction control. I have been racing a 22' in the northwest (cant race at CVMA its bullshit) and it is an absoltuely insane machine, gutless on top, but a true weapon. I have an amazing race video on my channel of how gutless it is on top. Im not sure how much it would help to have just a tjousand more hp on top and having to deal with a real race motor.
i personally think that they just want to offer a complete package to their customers. If you don't want / need all the additional features of the RR, you'd still have the 890 R
As an engineer this is absolutely fascinating for me. Excellent video and please deliver more of this type content! Much appreciated.
More to come!

as a KTM RC8c owner, I love this video! love the bike, even if mine isn't double R spec.
maybe one day there will be one based on the 390.. that would fit into the DNA very well
Interesting peek! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic story, thanks Rennie
Glad you enjoyed it. Please give the video a share you're up for it!

For sure. You'll get way more out a bike like this than a V4. There's eve more exclusivity to a Kramer, so it's a win-win.

Loved the video, but No way you denied us an oblate flying lap on that!! Cmon!
Sorry, I should have done that! Audio wasn't great when I recorded it. Next time... (there will be a next time).

Damn a cold Stella would be nice!
Would love to see a detailed comparison to KTM's 890 race bike. Thanks, Allan
When it becomes available, it's on the list.
hope FIM would allow them to enter FIM JuniorGP Moto2 class for wildcard seat on some occasion
Really enjoyed that.
Cheers!
Nice little bike, cool.

Is the engine a big improvement or the standard GP2R?
Yes. Massive improvement. Much more top-end power
I never thought a ktm could look good

Nice, wish I could afford it.
Me too

Cool ktm
but what class can it run? can't run supersport 600, or moto2, or Superbike.

My god that bike is lightweight
Feels like a bicycle

Is it better than a R1? $39000 is crazy.
Besides top end, yes much faster than an R1 in the corners

The shape looks like ktm RC8R 😮
literally the same bike, Kramer helped KTM build RC8R
I really like light, mid hp track bikes, but why do they have to be so freakin tiny:/
Why don’t ktm just put fairings on their bike? Rc390 is a good bike 🤷🏻♂️

138 hp weak af. Especially 40k
Too much electronics for a 138hp race bike.
