I sought a performer who did not rush the last movement. This became more and more interesting.
Brendel has a reasonable tempo and gives the last movement more character and drama than those who rush through.
It is NOT a question of difficulty or virtuoserie, you need to be able to hear the tones in order to get the musical changes.

11:08 Ok I don't know why, but I'm in love with this menuetto. There is a quite interesting thing in the notes. So dramatic and so romantic... It's telling you something, like a story. But this story is not so happy.
My favorite movement of the sonata.

This is a heavily edited publication of the Sonata with added pedal markings, dynamics, tempo changes that are not by Beethoven.

Thanks for your comment! I didn't think too deep into that, thanks for pointing that out. I was just searching for the cleanest version that I could make a decent video out of. I'll look into the versions of the scores.

@@PEDRO_boaro Thanks for your recommendation! I don't have any insight into what is original or not,, I'll definitely look into the Peters edition.

Thanks for your comment! I’m planning to upload bach’s goldberg variations as my next video. Of course I’ll be getting on with B’s sonatas. Just figuring out which performers I should choose.

@@mallard8277 For the Beethoven Sonatas I know Brendel is good. I’m not to sure about Bach though. I do like Bach. But mostly I listen to the Brandenburg concertos, and the Concertos for Violin. I haven’t paid much attention to the Goldberg Variations though. But I look forward!!

@@alecsachs9082 I know I’m going to include Brendel on mostly all future Beethoven videos but trying to slip in another performer. For Bach, you should expect Gould and more!
