What I like most about Salim-Javed, is both thses personalities lived life on their own terms & conditions. They have earned fame, success, money on their own terms and conditions & on their own merit. Yes, they have lifted or plagiarized many scenes from various films (from Hindi as well as Hollywood), but *कॉपी करने के लिये भी अकल की जरूरत होती है*, otherwise, Mr. Ghai would also have become bigger name than Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, Raj Kapoor, Vijay Anand by merely copying Deewaar (Ram Lakhan) & Sholay (Karma). But, he remained over rated & mediocre director only. (Self proclaimed "Showman").
