- Arbaaz Khan has kick-started his brand new series The Invincibles and in the very first episode, he sat down with the legendary writer and his father Mr. Salim Khan. Having given some great movies like Sholay, Don, Deewar, Salim Sahab has revolutionized cinema, but not everyone knows about his life beyond the movies. He truly believed sky is the limit but faced a lot of the struggles on the way. His fallout with Javed Akhtar, returning to films post drastic lows, marriage to a Maharashtrian woman and then an affair with Helen, Watch the maverick narrate the happenings of his life in the first episode of The Invincibles presented by Venky's.

Dear Arbaaz Sir, it was wonderful listening to Salim Saab as always. Just love his stories & his positive attitude towards Life. I felt that 32mins was a little too less of a time for a conversation. I would've loved for it to be a 1 hour show or may be 2 parts of 30 mins each. We all know he has so many wonderful stories to tell & with increasing the length of the show, it can be achieved. Love & respect to everyone in your family.

Even if you ignore the writing success of Salim ji, the best thing to learn from his personality and this and other interviews is that how gracefully he handles questions on tricky subjects like on Split with Javed Akhtar ji, Amitabh Bachchan ji, marriage with Helen ji...never in any interview he shows anger or aggression towards anyone for past stuff...class apart.

To manage a trendsetting career, most famous partnership, 2 marriages, 5 children, professional breakup, court cases and divorces of his children...and still being an optimistic person, speaking politely and firmly with hope...he's a legend and well read person....as a child when i saw sholay i always wondered how did the writer must have managed so many characters subplots etc. while writing this story, such a headache, but knowing the multiple ups and downs he handled in real life, now i understand.

The most successful Indian film writer post 2000 and one of the most successful writer of all time Mr. KV Vijayendra Prasad (RRR, Bahubali, Eega, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Magadheera) etc. Said in an interview that Salim-Javed is his inspiration for how to write huge multistarrers and how to get writers due credit and money and respect from producers and people....just like Salim ji says in this interview that Mahabharata is the best screenplay and his inspiration even today while writing, KVV Sir said that the script of Sholay is his inspiration and he watches it everytime before starting the writing process of a new film....Legends 🙌🏻

Outstanding interview of an outstanding human being Salim Khan. Arbaaz Khan is excellent in interviewing as well, but he is actually a superb actor, and should do more acting roles of different characters because I think he becomes the character completely in all his roles.

I have always enjoyed listening to Salim Sir, his wise words, life lessons and above all, I see my father's reflection in him. God bless you sir! 🙏 This interview was just so honest and truthful as his previous interviews. Arbaaz is such a wonderful host, love the way he conducts the interviews! And i agree Salim sir humility is the solid foundation of all virtues. Listening to his past life stories and learnings from my journey, all I think of is - if you are nice to people they will be nice to you but if you are too nice with them, they will screw you over. And yes, success aate hi logo mein gamand aa jaata hai. it destroyed more people than failures ever did.

Salim Khan is an institution himself.I came across his intellect in some of his earlier interviews.He probably is the only person from the film fraternity whom I would pay to listen to. It would be a shame if we don’t get to listen more from him when he is around.
OMG salim Sb took me down the memory lane. This line was my Waldah fav one”Khilao sone ka Niwalah per dekho Sher ko nazar se. We lost our parents about 3 decades ago and aapne hamari yaadein taza kardein. Jazak Allah Arbaaz for bringing in your dad in the first episode. It was too short please please bring him again. Hamara Salam dejiyega aap Waleed ko. You guys are lucky to have a dad who is so brilliant, modest and blunt honest and that’s the quality we admire about Salim sb.
