- In today's video, we'll find out what a home-made exotic American sportsbike with a supercharger is and see what the Revolution engine is really capable of.
Enjoy watching everyone and Happy Easter! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Ducati 1098 has over 160HP
Still pales to the Ducati 1299 at 205HP. Most powerful production V-twin to date.
You are putting out some quality content mate, thanks for your efforts! 😎
"Built on a Harley Davidson unit and top notch component" - isn't that an oxymoron?
Considering it was the V-Rod engine which was a joint Harley/Porsche/Erik Buell unit, no I think it’s safe to say it was top notch.
These bikes were wild, it’s a shame that 08’ got them.
For a 2 cylinder US built bike it's highly advanced. 2001 V-rod 120hp and 280kg. 2001 Suzuki GSX-R1000 (with 10% lower capacity) 160hp and 170kg. The V-Roehr was a bit better than a stock Harley at 180hp and 193kg.
The Kawasaki ZRX1200R was a ho hum sports bike of the same vintage with specs not too far from the Roehr bike but at about $10,000.
Or just go back to 1980s tech.
2 stroke Moto GP bikes
500cc
200hp
300lb Entire Bike dry, not just engine
Damn opiate crisis
Looks like a Ducati. These with some Screaming Eagle parts and a supercharger would haulass.
I’m loving this channel, just found it.
The VROD Revolution 1130cc and 1250cc engines were the collaboration between Harley Davidson and Porche.and in my opinion is the very best engine to come from Harley Davidson ever !
Excellent video, how about doing a video on the ‘other’ oddball American sport bike, the Fischer MRX?
It’s already on the channel, thank you!
@@wierdbike My apologies. I looked through the past videos and missed seeing it. Keep up the great work!
Maybe the reason for less interest from bike enthusiast is because it looked too much like a Ducati . Wonder why Roehr didn't spend time to design a totally fresh bodywork .
Great video. I don’t understand his engine choice. That engine weighs 200 pounds. That’s a bad start rite away.
Guy thought he could out buell buell himself
Didnt work out so well i see
MotoGP needs a rule update so we can get on with the development of forced induction, small-engined (lightweight) motorcycles. It’s a shame that I can buy an economy car with a turbo, and also that F1 was running turbos decades ago. MotoGP (and the street bikes to follow) would be amazing if we had 300 bhp 500cc motorcycles that weighed 300 lbs. Some of my biker friends say “they already tried turbos in the 80’s, and it didn’t work out. Well- those were that analog days, modern day technology could tame and control a modern day turbo or supercharged bike. Think about it- a 500cc twin or triple making Liter-class power! Kawasaki is the only company selling a forced induction bike. I’m sure if the effort was made, they would be the greatest and best selling bikes ever made!
They already did that in the 1980s except they were way more powerful than a turbo 4 stroke.
They were 2 stroke GP bikes.
500cc 200hp and the entire bike weighs less than 300lbs dry.
That's what most 4 stroke engines weigh that make 200hp
beautiful fail
Americans just seem to keep failing at building sport bikes. Not even one.
