i usually dutch braid my hair overnight but they never turn out as curly as yours 😭 your hair is soo pretty !!

Same, my hair ends up super poofy
Try leaving it in for 2-3 days that should give your hair enough time to dry and try to use some type of gel which will hold the curls together

that used to happen to me too, just make sure to moisturize your hair with a cream, leave in, or something like that. oil and just water won't do.

I always wear french braids on wet hair, and then go to sleep...and in the morning I take it out! I love to do this if I'm going to school the next day so I don't have to spend A LOT of time on my hair.
how do you avoid frizziness?

if your hair is extradry like mine, use the oil as you're undoing the braids.

Make sure you don’t part down the back, leave it super messy when your split it in two that way it will all fall together once you take the braids out

I always French braid my hair because it’s super damaged and won’t curl on it’s own anymore, but I always have this gap in the back of my head when I take out the braids 😡
@@togabbie3395when you part your hair, you can part the top of your head, where the braids start, very neatly, because that’s where the parting should look nice, but in the back, when you braid it, don’t part it so straight and pretty, leave a few stray pieces on one side and let the part be a little less uniform so that when you take your braids out there will be no odd gap

The thing is I do my braids they looks frizzy and have a lot of fuzzes but when my friend does it for me it looks smooth and perfect idk why

Thank you for posting this video. I have to braid my long hair every night so it doesn't get matted and you're explanation of French braiding helped me out alot. It's not perfect but I'm getting there by practicing in the mirror
Omgggg for the first time ever, I did it. It was barely there tbh and only on the front sections of my hair but it was defo there even if it was slight and I only did it like 3 times. I'm so happy, this gave me hope that I can do so I'm gonna keep practicing till I can do it well eventually. Thank you so much lana !!

I have done this before and still do, it works wonder, love it, I don't mess with once taking them down, cuz is layered so it looks good.

What do you do about your ends to keep them nice and curly when you take out the braids? I always get this weird crimp because of the elastic so my ends looks stretched out and weird
I didnt use elastics at all, I just braided down close to the ends and then let my hair curl naturally right at the end. Idk why but my hair just stays in the braid and doesn't unravel x
@@emanaltaji2926 No my ends are not dead, they just look stretched out and weird when i elastic the ends after i braid my hair.
Use another elastic band at this part of your hair like 2 cm under the one that's holding the braid and make it very tight so it won't fall. It might help

For everyone struggling doing french braids and dutch braids: put your wet hair on high ponytail and do 2 separate braids the effect is the same
