It's not anyone's fault but the judges. They messed up by giving the wrong score so she should have gotten the bronze initially and then they fixed it but not after making another girl cry when she thought she got the bronze. Both girls should keep their medals. They should take more time to get everything right before posting the scores so something like this doesn't happen.
I agree. The men's gymnasts from PRC and Taiwan couldn't break their tie. So, they _both_ got bronze medals! Why couldn't the same compromise have been reached regarding Jordan and Ms. Barbosu?
Or, even more sensibly, they ought to follow the example of Katie Moon and Nina Kennedy (from their qualification at the pre-Olympiad World Championship) and allow Jordan Chiles and her Romanian counterpart to _share_ the bronze medal.
Nobody should ever be bullied. It’s not Jordan‘s. Child’s fault that any of that happened. It’s the judges fault. Both girls got hurt.
No one is talking about Sabrina who was incorrectly scored! She beat both Ana and Jordans scores but the judges gave her a penalty for going out of bounds when she never did, her 13.7 would have been a 13.9 if judged correctly and this whole situation would have been avoided

Exactly! Sabrina's routine was poorly scored due to a mistake by the judges. I was wondering why after the obvious replay of no penalty they didn't appeal. I'd be willing to bet that her coach did not get the appeal in time and that's why her score was never changed.

I was sad for Anna and happy for Jordan and the inquiry. Now, I’m vsad for Jordan and happy for Anna. This didn’t have to be if the judges originally scored correctly. These athletes work so hard in their craft to be on an emotional roller coaster especially after they finished their routines.

If the scoring had been correct the Romanian who ended up fifth would have won the bronze. Jordan would have been fourth and Anna, who will now get the bronze would have finished fifth. Bottom line, it was a major S-show all around.
Neither girl did anything wrong. The coaches either. Coaches are within their right to file an inquiry. The judges are the ones who messed up multiple times! And now one girl is being bullied horribly 😢
I'm more sad for Sabrina, she deserved it more than Ana or Jordan, she was de pointed unfairly for stepping out, she should have had a bigger score than both of them. But the judges won't admit they failed that badly, so instead they're pretending that the reason for giving Ana bronze is because Jordan contested too late. Both Jordan and Sabrina should have received their points, making Sabrina 3rd place, Jordan 4th and Ana 5th.

Keep in mind people that if the judges had done their job correctly the first time... Jordan would've been the bronze medalist. All the judges agreed she fully rotated that leap. They deducted from her score for no reason. Give both of them the bronze medal. Jordan doesn't deserve to be stripped of hers.

All 3 (Jordan, Ana and Sabrina) should be given the bronze and the judges should be fired. This mess is the judges' fault, not the gymnasts.

The situation is even more complicated. The judges incorrectly scored another Romanian gymnast, wrongly deducting points for stepping out of bounds (which they omitted to when reviewing video evidence). This error placed her in fourth. Romania tried to appeal, but it was too late. During this process, it was also found that Jordan's coach missed the 1-minute window to petition. The correct scoring would have placed the Romanian gymnast in 3rd (initially placed 4th), Jordan in 4th (initially placed 5th), and Ana (Romanian) in 5th (initially placed 3rd).
I'm angry on behalf of all three of these women. I'm so sorry. Take strength in knowing your performances inspired many. Be proud of your excellence.

Whether they strip her of her rightful bronze or not, it seems to be a cycle. Regardless, she will rise above. As each woman before her has. It’s a cycle that black woman gymnasts(mixed, and all in between), get terrorized for their clear talent thru racism.

Simone biles would deal with all of that and then some, now Jordan. Whoever is in the spotlight as the African American female gymnasts, has always faced scrutiny despite astronomical talent that is making history for the world, not just their country. It’s pathetic to be so tight these young g ladies are doing well, that you attack the only thing they can’t control …..their race. Meanwhile nobody making these comments can even compare to a sliver of whom these athletes are (athleticism and class).

Jordan Earned the bronze medal. She was consistently given lower scores throughout the entire competition -- including the Beam which she fell off on. I was thrilled when she (& Jade Carey) made the team because she deserved it!!! The entire US team rocked.

this Chiles and Biles should have finished 4th and 5 th but because some verry bad referres from ITALY they finished 2nd and 3rd......TAS just corrected half of the mistakes the referres made.....the referre from italy was super bad and gave 2 medals to USA for verry bad exercises(Biles one was decent but she made lots of mistakes,she should have finished 4 th)

All these claims of racism but couldn't give a concrete example of what actual racist remarks were said. Jordan was robbed by these judges. Romania didn't deserve that bronze. Chiles' d score was changed as it should be. That's why there's inquiry! And that's why inquiry was accepted NOT rejected.
