This is the best video about the DMC-4 Gen 2 by far. I ordered a used one today for $69 (sort of an impulse buy...wanted to grab it before it sold). I'm exited to start using it, but I soon figured out why it was marked down so much.....it's no longer supported (old gen) and the documentation is very lacking IMHO. But this video showed me it can do exactly what I need it to do, which none of the other videos (even by Disaster Area themselves) managed to do. I was starting to wonder if I threw 69 bucks out the window, but now I know it's gonna work out. Thanks Ryan. :)

@@rpickrel4 Thanks for getting back to me! Sorry for the delay in responding. I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but I set up the DMC to switch and select between A/B, Timeline/BigSky. I am looking to utilize one of the presets to turn on the infinite mode of the Big sky. It gets confusing understanding all the present options and what combinations can be run. If you have any suggestions/resources thatd be great. Thanks

Yeah man, I just followed the user guide I found online. I probably won't be able to get to it until Monday. (My rig is still at the church from the xmas eve services)
hey ryan, nice video and playing , i have the 2 strymons and mobius, and just bought a dmc4 but hasent arrived yet, i love your custom preset at 317, is it just your timeline and bigsky creating that? if so what combination is it im guesing ice and the preset nimbus? (chorale maybe), thanks fo r posting the video it was so helpfull keep up the great playing

Ha. hopefully it works well for you. I upgraded the system to handle midi and switching with the same unit.
You can also send midi to your empress trem 2 ...use a trs cable from dmc expression input,which acts as midi out ...to control port on trem 2

How do you configure the mini expression pedal to your dmc-4 to control the mix over the bigsky when u latch freezing.

I am powering it with one of the higher amp iso outputs from the voodoo labs pedal power.
