    Very nice install overview video BlackVue.
    Whoever is making these videos is doing a good job.
    By the way I made a pleasant discovery with my B-130X. Because it is both 12 Volt & 24 Volt compatible for commercial vehicle applications. I discovered the B-130X can be charged “off-grid” with a 100 Watt solar panel without the need for any specialized equipment like a solar charge controller.
    This is because the B-130X’s BMS (battery management system) is sophisticated enough to accept the raw 24 Volt power directly from the solar panel, and is able to control the current to the acceptable 5 Amp level.
    I don’t see any practical application for this for the average user, but I thought it was neat because I tried the same thing with my BBMC PowerCell 8 dash cam battery pack, and it did not work because it is only 12 Volt system compatible, (not 24 Volt). You can see my full testing results on my DashCamTalk Forum Post.
    Actually I just realized a possible application for solar panel charging. For the folks who don’t drive often enough, or long enough to fully charge the B-130X they could use this option if they already had a 100 Watt solar panel on hand.
    Or, I guess if they have an “extended” parking mode application they could leave the solar panel connected to provide “unlimited” power. I say unlimited because during daylight hours the camera will run off solar, and when the sun goes down the camera will run on the B-130X’s battery power for 12-16 hours during the night. And when the sun comes up in the morning, the solar panel will fully charge the B-130X all over again. But I guess the SD memory card would fill up after a few days. Oh wait, BlackVue dash cams also have Cloud capability so I guess filling up the SD memory card is not an issue either. lol

    The manual says to connect to a circuit with a 10A fuse or less. In the video, you plug into 20A circuit. Why the 10A or less? Isn't it the straight way to overload feeding cable with additionaly plugged 9A receiver?

    • @agilis1
      @agilis1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      10A if the circuit is not occupied, as in the slot in the Fuse Box is empty, where only the B-130X is the only current draw.
      20A is being used as an example of the B-130X being shared with another vehicle’s accessory. In this case, because the B-130X’s current draw is 9A and the vehicle accessory’s current draw is 9A, you have a total current draw of 18A which gives you a fuse rating of 20A.
      20A may need to be 30A depending on the current draw of the accessory being shared by the B-130X.
      Hope this helps!

    So this replaces the old b-124x. What about the b-124e that daisy chained with the 124x to create more than double the battery capacity?

    • @CTTTTT
      @CTTTTT ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A good question, it seems the new battery doesn’t allow for adding extra capacity so if anything it’s a bit of a downgrade. I’m sticking with the b124x with the b124e doubling the capacity with the option of adding more if I need it.

    Can also be installed using a wire that runs directly from the cars battery, and using a relay (on a switched circuit), will charge the battery directly from the battery without needing to use other circuits in the car.

    Having this b130x will I still be able to pair it up with the magic pro, and 75OS 2 channel or do I no longer need magic pro?

    Hey team,
    What if I’m using the OBD Power cable (Connecta Pro)? Is there a solution to run this using that power method? My fuse box is in the back so it a bit trickier, if not, is there a long battery -> dash cam cable with the battery product, longer than the standard cable? As I’d want to keep the battery in the cargo hold fuse box. (BMW F31 touring)

    So we are supposed to connect the external batter to the engine compartment fuse panel????
    How do we get the wires back into the inside of the car???

      @BlackVueOfficial  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello,
      No, that’s not a requirement. In most vehicles, the fuse panel is located inside the cabin. Usually near the glove compartment or the steering wheel. Thank you.

    Only showed 1 cam is it possible to connest 2 cameras 1 front 1 rear?

    • @BlackVueOfficial
      @BlackVueOfficial  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, the dash cam's rear camera is typically connected to and powered by the front camera. If you mean to connect another "front" camera at the back of your car, you could potentially do that with a cigarette lighter adapter/splitter that would give you two 12V sockets.

    But why is the battery app so terrible? About a 5% success rate connecting.
