I don't usually play engineer classes(don't like being yelled at because i built the base "wrong")but i like the Architect. My personal favorite build is one made by CherryQuench:Deception, regenerative field, hologram extend, rootkit, and holo lifetime.
You can stay in the base to repair for Ult and do damage for the team.I find it extremely satisfying to play.

They should have just turned this class into a fortifications specialist, "architect".

I don’t know if you noticed with the hologram extend but the card deceptive. Ballistic has nothing to do with it. It goes by damage so you want to use whatever does the most damage for you to get the duration up. I have used booms, gls, and salvos and they were great, even believe you fortifications help out too.

A great way to extend the ult time is to use heavy weapons. Unload trishot, mulchers or salvos to greatly increase the time bonus.

Yeah, I noticed it with a scorcher in active reload. My hologram literally was "endless" for a moment.

Will the fortification damage up perk affect all fortifications or just the ones you build? Also will the perk affect fortifications I already built or just the ones I build after I level the perk?

Idk if it will effect all fortifications but it does affect stuff you already built so you can perk whenever

What are the best subclasses for each of the category of classes for horde like what's the best support, or for the other ones

Depends entirely on your playstyle. Bit of a strange answer really but two of my favourite classes are Infiltrator and Brawler, both of which have their limitations. Some people will say Tactician and Demolitions are the best, they both do a lot of damage and have great ultimate abilities, but I find the playstyles very repetitive. Play a bunch of classes and see what you prefer

I recommend you not pay too much attention to the Assault/Tank/Support class distinction. It actually does not mean that much. The Tactician is a Support class and the Pilot is a Tank but they can both do very good dps. The Blademaster is assault and the Combat Medic is Support but with the right cards both can be extremely tanky, much tankier in fact than the Veteran even though it's a Tank class.
Also the Veteran can give stim and a damage buff to his squad, which means he's kind of a support class too even though he's classified as a tank.

Great guide, thank you very much!I wonder if Top of the Line work only on the fortification that build by the Architect, or it works with every fortification on the map? Can I increase my sentry gun damage with the Roboticists at the same time?😂

I tend to find that the architect is best at holding and making defenses in a selected area. And not like a full not defensive builder. Because I think dealing damage and choking up choke points is extremely helpful. Throwing barriers down on stairs or areas where they commonly walk after spawn with turrets and another set of barriers with top of the line is stupidly strong. with all fortifications dealing extra damage, you can shut off certain portions of the map. But never upgraded barriers past level two as repairing is pointless past it.

Does deception card work with top of the line card?

Unfortunately it doesn't. Fortification Damage and Damage are two separate stats in-game. Top Of The Line stacks additively with Fortification Damage though.

I don't care for this one as a horde class but it's not bad in Escape. Hologram turned out to be very useful on The Warren to distract the shocking juvies; I ended up saving the run like three times. That's just one example.
Addendum: my big issue with this class is that there isn't much synergy between the engineering skills and the ult. You can either hide in your base, building and repairing or you can use your ult. You can focus your attention on one or the other. The two sides of the class do not really enhance each other.
Besides that, the Architect is a pretty mediocre Engineer. The Mechanic has more building buffs and the Robotics Expert has precision repair, and both have locker boost cards which seem to me to be a must have.
Personally I would have liked to see the engineer skills taken out and replaced with dps and crowd control cards, which is more in tune with the ult.
The ultimate is so useful in Escape that imho it vaults the class into the top Escape tier alongside stalwarts like Blademaster, Nomad and Anchor.
Whenever you find yourself swarmed by huge numbers of enemies, reach for Hologram. I found it invaluable for mastering The End, The Warren, and The Mines, to name only a few.
For CC the only ult really comparable is the Nomad's fear, but in some ways Hologram is actually better. For one thing you can control the movement of enemies better.
Say you're waiting for the doors to close by the LZ and a Warden spawns and starts running at you like at the end of the The Mines. Fear will CC him, but not prevent in from getting past the doors. Once Fear wears off you'll still have to deal with him. But if you send Hologram past him you'll turn him right around and can forget him.
    That's the difference.
