    In case you haven't noticed, the background colors reflect the colors of the Portugal flag! Drop a comment if this helped you out! Thanks!

    Great video,
    I see that there is a customs counter after security and the line might be shorter

    Great video! Very comprehensive! One question: do you need to have the price tags still attached to the items? Thanks!

    This was very helpful - thanks! If we have goods to declare in both our checked and hand-carry luggage, then do we need to go through both customs lines (4th floor for checked and 5th floor for hand-carry)? We'd prefer to carry some of our more expensive purchases, but if that will be too much of a headache, we can keep everything in one checked bag.

      You’re welcome! No, you don’t have to go through both. When you go through the customs with your check in luggage at the 4th floor, you can declare the ones in your hand carry as well. Hope this helps.

    Hi if we have to get the boarding pass at that time our checkin luggage should be with us right and after the customs we go back to the checkin counter to drop off the bag right?

    Do all passengers need to go to customs? I’m wondering as in Paris you simply scan your forms at the refund kiosk (Pablo) and the machine will tell you if you’re ok to go or you need to see a customs agent.

    Thank you soo much for your help! Just a question on Planet, one shop we got a physical stamp on our receipt but at another store we didn't get a stamp. Does that stamp even matter? or as long as you have a DIVA # you are okay?

      You’re very welcome. I’m happy to hear that the video was helpful. I am not 100% sure, but I believe as long as you have the paperwork from the store, you should be okay.

    Useful but there is no "Portugal Airport" as you mention in your title. That would be something like saying "at the US airport"... The one you are talking about is Humberto Delgado Airport, also known as Lisbon Airport.

      Thank you for the insight. I should have specified the name of the airport. Thank you for the comment.

    I am a USA citizen and having my wedding in Portugal this summer. Can I get VAT Refund on Taxed Services? We're getting hit with the extra 23% on most vendor services.

      Hi Kate, I am not sure about taxed services. I don’t believe so. However, any purchase associated with your wedding that is over €60 in a single receipt may be eligible. You could always ask the business providing the service ahead of time. If it is allowed, they can provide the documentation needed to claim the return at the airport. I hope this helps. -Diana

    are the counters open 24/7? my flight is at 5:30 am so wondering if they will be open

    • @wheretoXXX
      @wheretoXXX  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t believe they are open 24/7. There is an option to mail it (there is a drop off at the airport), although that may take longer. There are locations outside the airport (for example, at the Outlet) that will process your refund for you. However, you can only get the refund via credit card, versus cash.

    I think I will forego my $11 refund, LOL.

      Sorry for the late response. But yes, sometimes it’s not worth it if the refund is minimal. Your time is more valuable. Thank you for the comment.
