They mention in this video the front fenders had a gap to the body when installed on the truck and they ended up cutting the fenders. That gap was for the fender rubber strip. I have a original 1949 and there is a large gap there for the rubber.
I am installing the same radiator today that i got from LMC truck. Drain plug same way. But my bolt holes only line up on one side, have to make them wider on the other.
Good looking '49. Just found this build. So how far are you with it now? I hope that conversion wiper motor you bought is 6V, they do make them but most i see are 12V.
@@foxbodyboys4483 I’m actually not familiar with tuners down in Vancouver. I know Mopac has a dyno machine and tune a lot of nasty cars but I can’t speak for anyones work in that area
nice

The battery box is for a V8. The flat head six is shorter and located on the driver's side.
Now there’s a handy piece of info right there!!! Thanks for commenting. That helps a lot
I rescued a 1948 Ford F1. Just an empty shell on the original frame, but I was given a 1996 Crown Victoria to make a body switch.
I just started a 1949 F1 I will do the same
I will rebuild the original drum brakes
There is a rubber seal that goes between the fenders and cowl that takes up the space
The battery box goes on the driver side i have a 48 and its all original with the cylinder
On the v8 it's on the driver's side.. 6 cylinder passenger side
My battery box is higher up on my 1951 f1

1 dont use LMC parts. 2 wrong radiator . it best to use the original parts even if you have to repair them
Just found your channel.. where in bc are you?
