This is one of my recent acquisitions. I was so glad they came out with a 2nd edition without those huge borders. Love this deck. The art, the coloring, the cardstock, the gilding, the book... all gorgeous.

The artwork on this deck is just so beautiful and detailed. I have the original version and I have to say I was disappointed by the wide borders they put around the beautiful paintings and thus reducing the size of the art. I have ordered the borderless version and look forward to seeing the paintings larger and much more clearly. Each card has a wealth of inspiration in the details. The book knocks it out of the ballpark with it's explanations of the symbols in each painting. Thanks for the look through of this deck and your commentary was enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing Simon.. I've always loved Cathy's images. Her detail in each card is amazing. Sometimes I wish deck publishers were like car dealerships.... that allow us to trade in our older original versions for the newest edition. 🙂

This is one I would really like to get, I don’t have the 1st edition. It made me laugh when you said you bring home broken things - I do that too, especially with crystals that might be chipped etc. because I feel that no one else will want them lol. Beautiful deck and I hope I can get it at some point, I wouldn’t mind have one with the mistake in it either 😍❤️
When you said Harris Crowley, I had to take a beat, ooh, is this somebody significant I need to research? Then I laughed when I realised who you were talking about. I love the box, and borderless cards (it's like they took your cue). Stunning Temperance card! I love the radiant quality of the color on so many of the cards.

I am so, so glad this deck was released in this edition. I got my copy pretty early on (with the misspelling) because I was stalking it. It is really beautiful. And there is so much symbology and more to dive into with the images. ❤️
@@the_hermits_cave I'm happy with it. They have my name because I inquired for people who were asking. So they may send me a replacement card, but I'm not feeling it's particularly necessary. I like having the misspelled card.
I really love that this deck is painted and authored by the same lady....! I’ve got the original but am waiting for the re-done version that’s on pre-order. There’s so many spelling mistakes in the original book lol but it all adds to the character of this deck. Can’t wait for the new version. Lovely walkthrough Simon xxx
I think it's endearing how you like the errors in cards. I kinda like it too. The only production issues I really dislike are badly cut corners (pet peeve lol) or when the cards are crooked or different sizes
Yes or if the print of the image is complete off Centre. However, there’s something quite endearing about misspellings and of course when recalled it makes the deck more unique 🙏🏼♥️

I have the deck and The emperor is misspelled. I had pre-ordered, when it shipped my first order was lost, so they resent and I received the deck... then a week later I received the "lost" deck, which they said I could just keep. I emailed Red Feather to see if I can get just a new Emperor card sent when the re-print, waiting to hear back.
Love the look of this deck, very beautiful and colourful! It should be coming to Amazon here in the UK on Monday 26th but I'm not sure if I want to add this to my collection. What is it like to read with? :) I have many pretty decks but sometimes they're not so good to read with.

I'm a bit confused about her seasons use; I thought Swords was Masculine/Autumn. And Pentacles was Feminine/Winter ......she puts it off as Swords as Winter. Pentacles/Autumn. Help!
This is beautiful. The artwork definitely deserves the bigger cards. If you are going to be in Glastonbury on Sunday and you want to participate in a collective anchoring of New Earth energy at the Tor, check out Amanda Lorence on FB. She does this every Sunday at 11.11am (I think, I'm not in the UK) and quite a few people go now. She then does an energy transfer to everyone.
I love The Star Tarot. As far as guide books go, it’s my favorite. I don’t mind the misspelled card at all. My only dislike is that the gilding and the paper started separating so there’s some fluffy business going on.
I guess I have an unpopular take on this. I find the bright primary colors and Thoth-like art on some cards, as well as the rainbow images on several others not to my taste. They do have lovely card stock and some images are beautiful (High Priestess, Hermit, and some others), but I think the style is inconsistent. I got this very early on (a few days before Amazon said it would ship) and have the Emporer card error, which I'm also happy to keep. Thanks for the review and happy travels!
Paper Moon Unpopular it not, it is okay for us to say when we don’t particularly like some things about a deck. We are all individuals with our own individual tastes. 🙏🏼♥️

The Hermit’s Cave I totally would take the misspelling. (I commented before watching!! And I’m a lot like you in situations like that... one card isn’t going to bother me. It gives it a little character!) I contemplated getting the first edition which I can still find. But I would only do the same as you and trim it down. This one looks so perfect... the colors and how bold and lovely the imagery is and the backs I like better as well I put in for the preorder on amazon but I’ve had experiences in the past where the decks have come in long after supposed to (and with covid I’m concerned that’ll be the case and I definitely suffer from instant gratification lol!!). Somehow I managed to get the 2nd edition right away. I didn’t notice any errors. Lol! I think it’s pretty near perfect really.
