With time, your estrogen will plummet, too. Peri-menopause is a loss of progesterone. Post-menopause is a loss of estrogen. If you start with video #1 and watch them all in order, you'll learn everything. And if you want me to tailor everything specifically to YOU, just schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I do them all online.
Okay, I'm only five minutes in, and I'm tearing up. You are, without a doubt a pure gift to us women. From the minute I saw you on Dominique's channel, I was drawn in! As if I had known you somehow for years. Thank you, from the bottom of my menopausal heart for sharing your passion with is. It's clear that you want to help us, for you to take the time to answer (in detail, many times) guiding us along...my menopause, my way. I love you! Thank you, Dr. Barbie!
I love you, too, Cindy. I really do. There is just nothing better than serving women in this area that has been so neglected. I'm determined to make menopause better for women everywhere. Thank you so much for investing in yourself this way. And just so you know, I teared up as I read your message.
I was in a health food store buying a product for myself you talked about. The man was interested to know to tell women look you up on you tube. I am under S. E initials . I have a funny cat face pic. I messaged you on face book. It is hard to want to open up sometimes on here cause of ridicule or negativity. I just opened up to someone on here and glad to know she is a lot like me.
Hi Barbie, over the last couple of months I have watched many of your videos and now have watched all 37 from the beginning. Your education is priceless in the way you empower women in making choices and helping us drive the conversations with our doctors. Thank you from Melbourne x
I just started HRT for perimenopause. My doctor prescribed Estradiol alone . I was having horrible symptoms going as far as declining a job promotion due to being unstable mentally. Long story short, after watching your videos I found that I need to take Progesterone as well to protect my uterus. I messaged my doctor and she immediately ordered Prometrium 200mg. She should've known 😕 Thank you!!
Yes, she should have known. But, if you get this menopause education I deliver here, I can assure you that you will know 90% than most doctors. Menopause is THEE most neglected topic on Earth. There is no education on menopause in medical school. And 4-year Ob/Gyn residency programs devote only 1% of the 4 years to menopause.
I am early perimenopausal and just started on BRHT- oral estrogen and oral progesterone 2mg E and 100mg P nightly - I keep having periods every two weeks that are awful and tons of spotting in between. I went to my doctor again and she said she could double up the P to 200 and take it for 14 days then stop P to regulate a period. Other option was lower the E to 1mg. Please help! I don’t know what to do and the doc seems to not be certain what direction we should take either!
You are so very kind to write this, my dear. Thank you so much for appreciating my efforts. I truly love giving you this education. It's what you deserve.
There’s a lot of misinformation here: vitex does not contain progesterone, but acts upon pituitary to influence LH , thus stimulating progesterone production. Wild Yam is a completely different plant, nothing to do with the yams sold in store! 😂 It contains precursors to estrogen, progesterone, Dhea & testosterone ( and probably many other hormones) . How it works in woman’s body it’s a bit of a mystery, but I suspect it balances whatever is needed. Even though it’s officially claimed wild yam has to be processed in the lab in order to turn diosgenin ( hormonal precursor ) into progesterone. I was have been using wild yam for years to balance my body and stop PMS, it worked like magic! Perhaps my body would turn it into testosterone forts and then make progesterone from it, just like it happen later in our bodies (we actually make quite a bit of testosterone as a raw material for other hormones). Prop 65: any root from a soil not specifically tested for lead or mercury will bear the warning.
Wow, I don't have the right words to thank you enough for "altering" your life. I truly appreciate everything you do. Blessings to you. You are simply the best xoxo!!

Please schedule one at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I will arm you with all the information you need to make the rest of your life the very best of your life. And your early menopause makes it critical for you to get this education now.
It's what you deserve, my dear. I love knowing that you're here getting the education you deserve. Just be sure to start at video 1 and watch them all in order.
I'm 55 (56 end of April), and my peri-menopause started at age 49. I still had periods through my 53rd year, three and four months apart. I went 1 full year with no periods at all, then suddenly had one, a normal 5-day period, with mild cramps and normal flow, then again another one the following month. Two normal periods after 1 full year without them! Argh! I've now gone over a year with no periods, so I guess it is "official" now that I am in full-on menopause. I have never had hot flashes, but I had everything from headaches to extremely dry skin (even hives for one month), and mood swings, to what I called "peri-menopausal rage" where I felt intense frustration and tension. The worst symptom for me though is the one I have had now for over a year, and that is a weird sort of tinnitus, with an odd back of the head fullness, and ear fullness. I ruled out all other causes, saw doctors, and there is no problem with ear wax, no ear drum damage, no hearing loss. It is just an odd head fullness with a sort of "hissss" sound. It feels more like a hyper-awareness of my auditory nerves, or an over-excitability of my auditory nerves. I feel it more than hear it. I cannot afford to go to a doctor for Bioidentical hormones, which I would prefer, so I treat myself with plant-based hormone cream. When I started peri-menopause, I used Progesterone cream (Emerita brand), and it made me feel better. It calmed down the bloating, the painful cramping, and headaches, and was even a slight mood-elevator. It even helped a lot with the beginning of vaginal dryness. Same day I used it, I was "back to normal" there. After about 2 years though, about age 51, 52, my body stopped responding to Progesterone cream, so I stopped using it, and used herbal and vitamin supplements, and flax seeds, Evening Primrose Oil, Black Cohosh, and Maca. (none of which seemed to do anything). From age 52 to now (about 3 1/2 years), I have felt steadily worse. I look older in my face. I have more pronounced nasolabial creases, which depresses me, and I have had hair thinning since the onset of peri, although it has plateaued now, and I am no longer losing hair, it is just still thinner on top. The ear/head congestion/tinnitus thing is the worst symptom. I would gladly take any of the other symptoms over this. I am also exhausted, and I actually miss having periods, and miss feeling like my "regular self." Now and then there is that "going crazy" feeling, but I attribute that to tension and generalized anxiety. Through my own research (because my doctor is no help), I thought I would try Estriol cream (emerita brand), but only a tiny bit, less than 1/8 teaspoon at a time, and only twice a week. I use Progesterone cream too, but every day for 3 weeks, then take one week off of both creams. I will try this regimen for at least two more months, for a total of three months, and see if there is any change. But I sure wish I had a way of monitoring this with a health professional. Sad that it is not affordable to everyone. Oh, I also eat a vegan diet, and eat fermented soy, so that's another reason I think I only need a tiny bit of Estrogen. (sorry for the LONG comment! I just thought other women could relate to my story)
Tell me, F.B., is there a reason you're opposed to taking estrogen? You've hardly mentioned it in your comment, and it seems very obvious to me that it's the answer to all your concerns and symptoms. I'm not talking about phytoestrogens, which are so weak they do very little. I'm talking about a pharmaceutical estrogen (many of which are bioidentical - most patches, vaginal rings, sprays, gels), for which your insurance will pay. Would you consider it?
Hi Menopause Barbie, thank you for replying to my comment :) Well, I talked to my GYN about it, and she would not do bioidenticals for me, said she has no experience with that, but would prescribe the pharmaceuticals - but it still is not covered by my insurance, so I'd have to pay out of pocket. I would, but I thought it was dangerous, a cancer risk. I hoped the botanical creams could be used in larger doses, if they were not doing enough. Is there any benefit to doubling or tripling the cream dosages? Or is your recommendation just to do the pharmaceutical estrogen? I thought Estriol was the "safe" estrogen to use.
I also felt safe using the Estriol cream after reading this (since I was self-diagnosing and self-treating): www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/estriolhormone.html I'm more confused than ever now. I thought I already was using real estrogen and progesterone. What is the difference between a bioidentical estrogen and a phytoestrogen? I think I would have to go to a pharmacy outside my area too, for the bioidentical hormones, because my nearest one, the one assoc w/ my medical group, does not have the bioidenticals there. sigh :(
It's all a matter of opinion ... yours! Here are the facts: Estriol is bioidentical regardless of whether you get it from a compounded pharmacy or as a pharmaceutical product. The compounded products are more expensive, not as routinely covered by insurance, and possibly weaker. The pharmaceutical estradiol comes in many forms and is much more predictable because it has to undergo FDA approval. Most of women's concerns about cancer risk due to estrogen are so far off from the facts that it's shocking. I'm assuming (if you're like most women) that you're referring to the risk of breast cancer. the fact is that no one knows if estrogen causes breast cancer. We just don't have evidence that it does, but can't prove that it doesn't. The thing that you (and all women) should be worried about isn't breast cancer. It's heart attack. Here are the statistics: Breast cancer kills 1 out of every 29 women. Heart attacks kill 1 out of every 2 (yes, two) women. So why is everyone running around afraid of breast cancer? If you can afford it, I think you should get whatever you prefer even if you have to pay for it yourself. People spend loads of money on Alternative & Complementary products and plastic surgery, but balk at spending on medications. If you want a bioidentical form of estrogen that your gynecologist will prescribe, just ask for one that consists of estradiol or estriol. Most of them contain estraDIol rather than esTRIol. Estriol is the weakest of the estrogens. That doesn't mean it's safer. It's just a little different in its chemical structure. The Alternative & Complementary world promotes estriol as safer. The traditional medical world doesn't make such a distinction. Another alternative is to find a gynecologist who is comfortable with compounded estriol. I believe that peace of mind is everything. I want you to get what you want.
This is an article written from the Alternative & Complementary perspective. It's not a matter of right or wrong. The fact is that your ovaries produce more than one type of estrogen. 80% estriol, 10% estradiol, and 10% estrone. When your ovaries stop producing estrogen, you can replace it in a variety of ways. It's all a matter of preference. The article makes it sound like estriol is all good and estradiol is all bad. That's not the case. As with most things, nothing is perfect, and there are pros and cons to everything. I think you should try one option, and if it's not adequate in improving your symptoms and preventing the long-term health risks of having no estrogen (heart attack, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's Disease), try a different one. The difference between bioidentical estrogen and phytoestrogens is huge. The strength of a phytoestrogen is only 1/100 to 1/1000 as strong as human or pharmaceutical estrogen. Bioidentical estrogen is somewhere in between because it isn't as regulated as pharmaceutical estrogen. Phytoestrogens are not strong enough to protect your heart, bones, and brain all by themselves. If you haven't watched these videos in order, please do so. I explain all of this very clearly, and I don't want you to be confused.
THANK YOU for caring so much. You are a fantastic teacher and are making a HUGE difference for thousands of women, including me. No one teaches us about the changes we will experience... and knowledge is power and eases fears we may have about menopause. You are empowering us to make changes to improve our quality of life and health. I see the effort and time you put in to your tutorials!! You are a rockstar!!
Hi Barbie!! That is sooooo thoughtful of you to dedicate your life to your "Channel-Tubers". I know I certainly appreciate the time, effort and care that goes into each video you make. I'm sure all my "siblings" here on TH-cam appreciate it to mommy! We are yours!! It's been a wonderful awakening for me since I've been watching you...words can't express how much you've done for me and I look forward to another 1,000 videos! Love the photo on the table...I'm guessing that's you? The smile is definitely you! Once again Dan and I are sitting here right now watching this video together so we're all excited to keep learning more and more each time. Hugs to you! XOXO
Yep, that little girl is your's truly! I was cross-eyed as a kid. Can you tell? Thank you so much for your kind words. I'll have those 1000 videos for you, as well as many other services. My goal is to reach every woman everywhere.
Menopause Barbie I can't tell you were cross-eyed at all...abundantly adorable rings thru!! Even as a baby you captivated audiences. You were definitely put on this earth to help others :-).
Thank you for your dedication to helping all of us 'Menopausal Barbettes'. And thank you for referencing past videos to help us connect the dots. Not sure about other people, but my brain doesn't work as well as it once did and it's hard for me to retain all this information (I've watched every video). But you do a great job of tying everything together and reminding us of the salient points. Welcome back to the States!
Thank you, Barbara. I call that change in brain function "menofog" or "me no memory." I'll continue to reorient you as we go along. My goal is to give you information in a way that you can remember it an use it at any time.
Informative thank you. Need to inform yams and sweet potatoes are very different. Wild yams in reference for menopause is Dioscorea villosa for hormonal balance.. The car full of sweet potatoes in your video are different. Dioscorea villosa call wild Yam doesn’t produce a large tuber like sweet potatoes is a small iwoody roots system used for the reproductive system in many Yam eating cultures for digestion, blood sugar, mestruation, colesterol and menopause... I also prefer Vitex for our woman’s bodies. Thank you again.
Well, thank you so much for that. I'm happy. I can't imagine my life without this wonderful opportunity to help so many people everywhere. I really love it that you're watching.
+Menopause Taylor thank you , you are a genius , I've translated some of your videos to my mum ( we are from Italy and she doesn't understand English very well ) she is 68, so she has been in menopause for about 18 years now .
Your clothes and furniture are so very feminine and elegant, I love it. Thank you for your caring ways, in teaching women about menopause, it’s absolutely priceless. ☺️
Agnus Castus used to really reduce the heavy period symptoms and pain of my severe endometriosis by about a third. I found just a few drops of tincture were needed, and even less 2 or 3 drops a day in water if it's the herbal Extract (which is more potent). I'm in menopause now and really appreciate your intelligent videos, thank you
I love her! She's absolutely brilliant and her style is awesome! Just love it! Thank you so much for the great information. You are seriously appreciated, Batbie 💕
Welcome home! You are inspirational. Your Cape Town segments inspired me to return toto South Africa after 35 years. You are touching lives Dr. Barbie! Thank you.
Thank you so much for what you're doing! Bioidentical progesterone has restored the quality of my life, as has reducing the amount of tofu and yam that I eat. I'm so glad there is a doctor out there to educate women about their bodies.
You're welcome, my dear ... but things will change for you with time if you are using progesterone only. If you want to really understand all this and manage your menopause successfully over the long term, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME.
After watching the video, I immediately took out the booklet that comes with my prescription to make sure my pills consist of both estrogen and progesterone. They sure do! I have to keep my uterus healthy. Exciting to hear about your life choices. Thankfully, your passion is our gain.
Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication. I always looks forward to your videos. I have a TV in my kitchen and play your tutorials while I'm cooking dinner. My husband was in the kitchen with me while one of your videos was on. He watched it and was actually interested in the subject. He said it actually helped him understand what I am going through. Thank you again.
Dr. Barbie, you are SUCH a gem! I am in awe of your commitment to women everywhere; I continue to learn so much from you - thank you so much! Your new apartment is lovely; I'm glad you are happy to be back in Houston. I'm sure being a "citizen of the world" was an incredible experience, but in the inimitable words of Dorothy, "there's no place like home!" Again, thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge in such a witty, playful, and easy-to-understand manner. :)
Nancy, You are so very welcome for this, and I absolutely love making these videos for you. It feels very good to be grounded again. I'm going to provide even menopause service I can for you.
Today I found you and Iam still binging on your videos, so educative and uplifting !!! the best teacher ever! Thank you so much for that. In all my years going to the obgyn, I have gotten a gram of the education if snything compared to what I got today just by watching ur videos. Thank you! I have never pressed like before watching a video(s), today u fully earned my like(s). Please dont stop educating women all around the world, and once more thank you!! 👍🏼❤️
Lucy, Welcome aboard to "Menopause Taylor University." You'll find that if you start at the very first video (going by the number after each title), you'll understand absolutely everything. And you'll be shocked at what you didn't know, and delighted that you now do know. Each video builds on the last. It's just like school: You had to learn the alphabet before you could read. And nowadays, there are so many overwhelming misconceptions that women mistake as facts ... that you just don't know what you don't know. I respond to all comments here on TH-cam daily. So, I will answer all your questions ... but I'll also know if you aren't watching the videos in order. (I'm like your mother. I have eyes in the back of my head!) And if you need me to help you tailor anything to your personal situation, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME any time.
Good day Dr. Taylor (Menopause Barbie), I have been watching your TH-cam in sequence as you told me to. I have learned a lot in the past month. I am thrill to find you and feel that we are just like a long time friend. You are such a lovely, wonderful, sweet and so kind to help all the women out there like me. You know we have something in common "travelling around" so frequently. I am glad you finally settle down in your home country. I moved from country to country every 4 to 5 years due to my husband jobs. In the past few months, I have moved from Doha to Edinburgh and then to Lisbon, Portugal in August. Gosh! The most difficult moves this time. I am in the early stage of my menopause. I am feeling very low, tired, and occasionally suffer from hot flushes, and the stress from the relocation process doesn't help. But I am confident to help myself in this new country after learning load from you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dr. Barbie.
Linda, This is so kind of you. And I know that your menopause is making your new move more difficult. But, with this education, it should result in a smoother course of events. I am so very glad you're here, getting the menopause education you deserve.
Thank you so much Barbie! Amazing presentation as always. I so enjoy them on both informative and visual levels. You are a true artist to your business. Great success!!!
Oh my gosh! You moved back to Houston! It's where I live! You should do seminars, I could round up all my girlfriends and see you in person! You are the most amazing teacher! Thank you so much!
Tracy, I AM doing seminars, beginning in September. The schedule will be only website (MenopauseTaylor) in a matter of days. I'll give one seminar every quarter. I urge you and all your girlfriends to attend. You'll receive this entire education on menopause in just 2 days. And you'll receive all sort of other perks at the same time. Plus, I want to meet you.
Dr Barbie thank you. I've been going through the progression of your videos in sequence from the beginning (as you suggested after I watched some of your more recent ones). Half way through this video tutorial I replayed it as was processing some of what you shared at the beginning. I, I think most of us are like little sponges soaking in all the information you share. Yet as the chameleon was affected by the color of the tank background I feel as we watch you more & more .....I'm rambling my point is we're affected by your passion as well as news. I hope that your no longer moving each year to a different country will be a happy change in your future. I don't want to pry and forgive me if overstepping as I'm a stranger after all but concerned for your relationship . That's my thought as somehow my heart tugs a little for you. I will finish watching this tutorial. Being years & years post menopausal I wish I had all this information before I was even perimenopausal. I've shared your videos & TH-cam channel with my sister, my daughter and with my young neighbor. You are not only an educator for us but you live your passion. I'm learning so much. Though I'm way past the window for HRT I want to learn more about how to balance my lifestyle with wellness not just a goal but a daily practice. Thank you!!
This was so lovely. My moving from country to country for about a dozen years was wonderful. But, trying to do that AND provide this educate is a bit much. Now, my passion is helping you, and I'm married to this menopause project. So, I am thrilled with the picture of my future, and I'm so glad that you're a part of it. Thank you so much for your kindness and thoughtfulness.
You have helped so very much. Thank you for doing this for menopausal women everywhere. You are apparently beautiful on the inside as well as outside. Thank you.
I'd love to know how you keep your skin looking so youthful. I am 54 and my face is already drooping! You are amazing, not just in terms of looks, but mainly the knowledge you give us women. Science and medical community have ignored us for a long time.
Oh my goodness! Welcome home! Happy to have you back here in H-town. I literally got chills when I saw this. You are such a thoughtful and warm person and have helped me out so much through these videos. I am knocking on the menopausal door and I feel so much more equipped now and feel like i can take it head on. Thank you SO MUCH.
Thank you Barbara x very insightful as always ❤❤🙏🙏 I have taken this week off from work and will be focusing more on your videos. I have watched up to this video and really want to progress. I've started meds from my gp to help to manage my peri menopausal for the last 3 months and can't wait to learn more. I am forever grateful for all you share 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤ god bless you for all the knowledge you share with us. Whenever I feel down my best friend tells me to watch your videos to be uplifted as you have this lovely positive energy around you. Life is difficult at home atm due to lockdown and looking after my 80yr old mother in law with advanced alzheimer's dementia and I also have to work from home but your videos keep me going. It's like me time and hubby respects that ❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Oh, I am so honored to be able to lift your spirits AND give you this vital education. Just keep up your good work. This weird coronavirus time will pass.
I am 49 years.I just connected to your You-Tube lectures and I am impressed. Right now I am having thses perimonopausal signs.I am almost a year off my last period. Please I need the right recommendations of both estrogen and progesterone therapies. All these are new to me and I love your lectures
Thank you for the wonderful, entertaining, in depth education. I’m late to the game with the comments here. I started from the beginning, listening, watching, taking notes, thinking (and making informed decisions I’ve acted on! 🥰) and I just heard you moved back to Houston :)!! Being taken along on your foreign excursions were delightful and fun BTW. So Thank you for the imparting of your wisdom, vast knowledge and experiences. Hope you are well 😊 during this unbelievable 2020 year Dr Barbie Menopause. I’ll find out in several hundred more videos how things are going with you!
I'm so glad you're here, mu dear. But you'll have many surprises in store as you continue to watch these videos in order. I'm just thrilled that you're getting the education you deserve.
Oh, Gail. It's such an honor and a pleasure to make these videos for you. I want to provide you with every educational resource you need for your menopause and the rest of your life. You can count on me to do my very best.
Doctor Barbie. (Am I alone in thinking that that actually sounds SO strange)? Anyhow, I was thinking the other day about the impact of all of your menopausal videos and the fact that there really is no-one like you on the entire worldwide web. So, this educational forum and the impact you can make globally from it is staggering particularly when we consider that before you came along and shone a light on the menopause - there was precious little on the topic on the web. How fortunate we women are today to have you help us so enormously and I know everyone will join me in saying that we hope that all of your dreams and aspirations in life come true. Love you, Liz, Gloucestershire, UK.
I thank you for your appreciation. And there is nothing more wonderful or rewarding for me than knowing how much of a difference this education is making for you and so many other women. I really love knowing that this is what I'll do for the rest of my life. Keep watching, my dear.
@@MenopauseTaylor So, it's the exact same product you were showing us in the video. Since it's been 5 years since you recorded it, I suppose that one can now purchase it without a prescription. 🤔
@@lf7065 I shoed it. I did not push it or promote it. I show all sorts of things. But they all have both capabilities and limitations. Knowing the capabilities and limitations and how they apply TO YOU is the key to success.
You love us so much you altered your life and settled in one place. I already loved you but now love you, more, in knowing that. Moving onward to the next tutorial!
I bought your book "Honey I'm home" . Started reading it right away..so fascinated by your story. Can't wait to read it all and pass it on to my daughter to read. I hope one day I get to meet you dear Dr. Barbie Love, Farah from Toronto Canada
Dear Dr. Barbie. Thank you does begin to express what you do for us, you are a gift, truly. Here you explained that wild yam root is actually estrogen. The manufacturers of one of the creams you show in this tutorial (the same one recommended by my gynecologist as a progesterone supplement) says "This progesterone is derived from diosgenin; a steroid sapogenin extracted from the tubers of Mexican Wild Yam Root. One pump provides 20mg of USP progesterone." Does this mean it is really estrogen?
With herbal products, you NEVER know what you're really getting. That little word "extracted" means a lot more than you can imagine. It means that the estrogen was removed from the Wild Yam and then chemically converted into progesterone with all the chemical & chemical reactions required to do so, just as with any other synthetic product. Why women assume such products are :natural,: I'll never understand. But, the truth is that the entire vitamin, mineral, supplement, and herb industry is entirely unregulated. So, they can get any product (maybe Wild Yams, maybe not) from anywhere and combine them with anything (fillers, substitutes, contaminants), and sell them to you without having to divulge any facts. That's why these products don't come with any accompanying literature. If you want me to help you personally with any of this, just schedule a one-on-one consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME.
@@MenopauseTaylor Thank you so much for replying to me Dr. Barbie. I will do what you suggest because it is very hard getting a straight answer from my gynie. You're brilliant! And your commitment to helping women is really inspiring.
That's my situation I don't have a uterus so I'm trying to figure out I didn't get my answer from this video so I'm going to search her for other videos maybe it's in another video thank you so much for this video and bless your heart for your commitment to helping women across the world ❤️
Hi! Would just like to say thank you for imparting so much knowledge to me and my girlfriends. You’ve helped more than you know. Love from Singapore. ❤
OH MY GOSH Barbie, your opening message gave me goosebumps! You're one in a million! But I'm sure you've heard that many many times. Welcome back to the U S A. Thank you is not enough for the information you are imparting. I've been waiting for your discussions on progesterone as that is the one hormone I'm low on. Thanks again and please know how much you are appreciated and needed. Oh, I would also love to see what you eat in a day, that would be so interesting to me. Happy Valentine's Day!! -Ida xo
Thanks one again for your informative video MB....could you please do a video one day on how to manage when having had a complete hysterectomy ? Im sure there are plenty of women out there that need help! Love you heaps, keep up the good work! X
Thank you Barbie. I really appreciate your dedication to us, I really enjoy your videos every Tuesday. They are my happy Tuesdays moments. Hope you're happy with the decision on remaining in Houston. All love and success.
Eternal thanks for putting the women who can be helped before your experience in seeing living in different cultures. You can still travel and experience the world several times a year. I'm trying to watch as many as I can before my follow up with the gyno oncologist in July....I had a TAH BSO May 11 and an ovarian mass the size of a grapefruit removed! Ya, and early stage endometrial cancer found but so early no treatment is needed! Now I'm having hot flashes...oh, I'll be 51 in September.
Jeanette, Don't hesitate to schedule a consultation with me for anything at all. You need to be sure you understand absolutely everything about your personal situation. I'll take the time to make sure you do.
Wow. I can not translate, how much you helped me again. Because of, too much Estrogen I take Agnus castus + Progesterongel + Wild Yams Kaps. 🙄 My Doctor says only " take what you want" In my 20th I worked as a nurse and I saw, that older women were treated not very nice. Most of the docters, rolled they're eyes about the problems and the diagnoses were all the same : Depression, the nerves ... Now i am often treated the same. I ordered your book and Thank you so much. Greetings from Germany
Thank you Dr Taylor. We love you so much. God bless you. I can’t wait to have an appointment with you. I am trying to understand this complex topic more before. Hope to met you soon
when i researched Wild Yam i came across estrogen so i ordered some but another research mentioned progesterone i ignored that and stuck to my first research which entailed internet and one of your videos!!! yay!!
Barbie--Thank you so much for your time and explanations. Very, very helpful. Hope you find yourself happy with your decision to remain in Houston. You are greatly appreciated!
I reside in Houston (League City specifically)... hail from Dallas originally. .. welcome back sister😀 thanks for your commitment to this community ... go🌟 Cowboys 🌟
Dear Dr.Barbie, you look so happy and I am happy for you. The way your life has taken a different turn and is working out for you is fantastic. You really deserve it congratulations. But I am confused about what to do, I am still learnig and I will always keep watching. Thank you x
Welcome to "Menopause University," Helen. If you start with video #1 and watch them all in order, you will definitely understand everything. If you watch them randomly, you will sabotage your entire menopause education. And if you ever want me to tailor everything specifically to YOU, just schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I'm so glad you're here getting the menopause education you deserve.
Hi Barbie, thanks again for all that you do. I started watching your videos a short time ago, and have gotten to this one, number 37. I notice you have about 200 videos. At what point will i have enough information to make a decision about my menopause management? That is, do you recommend watching all 200 before starting a menopause management schedule?
You're great at explaining everything thoroughly. And from more than one perspective too. As a newbie in peri i say thank you. I also giggled a little when you said you were from TX cause I was thinking Joel Osteen. It's that million dollar smile and curly hair I think too
Well, I'm not "from" Houston. I've lived on every continent except Antarctica. I was born in Germany. And now I live in Nice, France. Regardless of where I live, I thank you greatly for your kind compliment. I am just so glad you're here (at "Menopause University), getting the menopause education you deserve.
Well, I am committed to this menopause series. But, I will not stay in Houston. If you want to attend my last seminar here, come on September 22 & 23. It will be the best investment you'll eve make in yourself. This video series and everything else I've developed will stay exactly the same when I leave.
Hi! Welcome back to the States. I am on Chapter 8, Dosage Dictionary! So great to read the book and follow the video series. I can't thank you enough! P.S. I also picked up "The Estrogen Window" book. It's my next read... Happy Valentine's Day from New York to Houston. I love your baby picture!
Ha! You are such a good student. Isn't it great to follow along in the book and have the fun of the videos? I'm so proud of you. You'll get a lot out of The Estrogen Window, too. How'd you know it as me in that photo?
Eyebrows, eyes, forehead, curls...very cute. Very focused look in your eyes. I bet you were precocious! :-) By the way I lived overseas in Norway for 10 years and even studied engineering there...it was a fantastic experience that I wouldn't trade for anything but being back in the States is great too.
I agree! I've lived on every continent except Antarctica. There's no perfect place. You just have to embrace each for what it is. I came back to the U.S. because I know I can do the very best job for you here. I'm on a mission to make your menopause easy.
Rocky, I just love helping you. It's such a pleasure to hear how enthusiastic you are about making sure you know everything you need to know in order to manage your menopause your way.
I used chaste tree and blackcohush all thru my perrymanipause and continued thru manipause and now it’s been 5 yrs post. And I never had hot flashes. But I do have insomnia and 5 yrs ago I got hypothyroid. And now I’m looking to do bio identical pallets and or patches prescribed. Question Dr. did I do something right because I did not get the hot flashes because I was using the herbs. This is reassuring because I have used herbs instead of prescribed cream and patches so have I done something for my brain in my not too late to do the hormone so I can prevent Alzheimer’s heart disease and heart attack
This is precisely the kind of thing that warrants a consultation, which you can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. Thus far, none of the management options you've used is capable of preventing heart attack, osteoporosis, or Alzheimer's. In a consultation, I will tailor everything specifically to YOU and find YOUR best options.
Hello Dr. Menopause Barbie!Thank you Thank you. Thank You for being you! You are a brilliant doctor and educator! Your tutorials have come along just at a time in my life being that I am 52 and just received my FSH (40.6) last month. You are almost as great as Botox at this point in my life...just kidding....you are invaluable! I have watched all of the You Tube videos in order and am still a little confused per this #37. I still have all of my female plumbing and am currently using all botanical supplements (Estroven, Vitex, and Cayenne). I am confused as to what I can use after my ovaries go out of business when it comes to progesterone. You stated that Chaste berry will no longer work after ovaries shut down. Since I am much into the botanicals, is bio-identical my next best option when it comes to getting my progesterone? I cannot wait to see your next educational topics! Keep up your fabulous work!!!!!
Oh, I'm so sorry if I confused you. You CAN use Chasteberry after your ovaries go out of business. You can use it indefinitely if that's what you want to do. You'll find Chasteberry in all sorts of forms. You can continue to use all your current options. Be aware that, over time, as you move farther into your menopausal life, that these herbal remedies may stop working as well as they do now. That's because, being that they're herbs, they are very weak. You may find that you need higher quantities or that you need something stronger. It just depends on how your symptoms evolve. Also, be sure you recognize that no herbs will prevent any of the long term diseases associated with menopause (heart attack, osteoporosis, Alzheimer's Disease). So be sure to get educated on what you need to do to prevent those, too. It's all in my book. And if you can come to one of my seminars, do so. Just go to my website, where you'll see the dates. Because you're 52, you're going to need to get this education faster than you'll be able to by watching one TH-cam video a week. I've made sure to provide educational tools for every timeline. I applaud you for taking control of your health!
Hello, I'm 51 will be 52 in July last menstrual was about 3-4 years ago. I don't get hot flashes any more. Have lots of Other symptoms. Can feel my body aging its scary how fast. I'm also type 1 diabetic for 36 years hypothyroidism since 2002. 16 year breast cancer survivor(radiation and chemo killed my thyroid and metabolism) yeah me!. I can't seem to find a doctor even my endro won't touch menopause therapy. So how do you suggest I get a physician to help with managing anything I do. I'm also on a pretty tight budget and have a $9k deductible on insurance so its a struggle just to cover the other health issues I have. Thank you for all the information you provide to us. Its enlightening but also frustrating since you seem to be in a minority on the education of this issue.
Dr. Barbie I just love you❤. You need to tell us which counties you lived in and what has determined you to bring us your style? I just love your style and your beautiful laugh ❤
I just stumbled on your channel and have been marathon watching your videos. I am 49 years old and had a total hysterectomy in April 2014 so I still have my ovaries. I think I’m peri menopausal. After my hysterectomy I was still going through pms symptoms and understood I was ovulating. Nothing really changed but in the last year I’ve been having night sweats, hot flashes, low libido but recently I’ve been been experiencing extreme indigestion and acid reflux and it is intolerable and with my research I found that the enzyme in your stomach also decrease with age! Great! (Sarcasm) I’m not a big fan of pharmaceuticals unless I’m up against a wall. I had a good friend die of an aggressive form of estrogen-fed breast cancer when she was 54 after using using creams that contained estrogen which she rubbed on her breast to alleviate peri menopause symptoms. She had no family history although her daughters later tested positive for the gene. Ever since then it has terrified me to even consider estrogen creams or HRT. I try to alleviate my symptoms naturally and homeopathically. I eat relatively healthy (flexitarian and eat mostly plant based) take ashwaganda and black cohosh teas and supplements and l-glutamine to rebuild and protect my stomach lining along with probiotics and fermented foods! Would you recommend anything else I could do?
Keep thing my videos IN ORDER. I promise that you'll learn so much that you will be absolutely shocked at what you didn't know. I cover everything: Diet, Exercise, Lifestyle, Vitamins, Minerals, Botanicals, Herbs, Acupuncture, Hypnosis, Hormonal Medication, and Non-Hormonal Medications. I have no product to sell you, and I have no angle. I just give you the facts. (And I'm the only person I know of who's doing anything of the sort.) You'll find that the videos build on one another in terms of knowledge. Everything should make sense. I teach you to tailor the information to YOU so that you can make the best choices for yourself. I'll give you statistics so that you can weight the importance of each factor and prioritize accordingly. I welcome you to my channel, and just know that I'm here to help you. I respond to these comments here on TH-cam daily. And if you go to my website: MenopauseTaylor.ME, you'll see articles and other resources that will help you.
@@MenopauseTaylor I just turned 50 and I’m feeling this perimenopausal. Frankly, I was so anti HRT from what I heard. I am watching your tutorials, learning, and you bet I will no let myself suffer when there is no need. I will go through this change my way for the rest of my life. You are a hero to us who have been so misinformed. I am learning and arming myself with education. 😘 XOXO

So glad someone is finally addressing progesterone...estrogen levels decrease by 40% or so bur progesterone levels plummet.
See, isn't it wonderful to talk about this! One of the biggest problems is that women are afraid to speak up. I'm going to change that.
Well, I think you're pretty special, too!
I first saw Dr.Barbie on Dominique's channel. Dr. Barbie, you are wonderful!!!
I watched this super important video again. Your jacket, your gorgeous couch, your way of teaching us are SO unique. Thank you for being YOU!
You are so very welcome, my dear. And thank YOU!
Very generous of you to put your travels on hold for women around the world! We are a lucky bunch!
You're worth it! There's noting I could do that's more important.
I am early perimenopausal and just started on BRHT- oral estrogen and oral progesterone
2mg E and 100mg P nightly -
I keep having periods every two weeks that are awful and tons of spotting in between. I went to my doctor again and she said she could double up the P to 200 and take it for 14 days then stop P to regulate a period. Other option was lower the E to 1mg.
Please help! I don’t know what to do and the doc seems to not be certain what direction we should take either!
Also- my very dear friend got me on your videos and I LOVE that you are sharing this info with all of us women. ❤
@poppyjean322 please update us on what you did/how you are going? I am on similar regimine and have just started bleeding now out the blue.
@@poppyjean322estrogen is the bleeding hormone, same thing happened to me, reduce your estrogen...😊
You’re such a beautiful human Barbie! You are indeed making a huge change in our lives. May you always be blessed! 💖
It contains precursors to estrogen, progesterone, Dhea & testosterone ( and probably many other hormones) .
Prop 65: any root from a soil
not specifically tested for lead or mercury will bear the warning.
Hi can I take Dhea and a progesterone cream at the same time?
Wow, I don't have the right words to thank you enough for "altering" your life. I truly appreciate everything you do. Blessings to you. You are simply the best xoxo!!
Knowing that it benefits you is all that matters, Elisa. This is my mission and my passion.

"Focusing on you"...that's so nice of you. Thank you.
It's what you deserve, my dear. I love knowing that you're here getting the education you deserve. Just be sure to start at video 1 and watch them all in order.
I'm 55 (56 end of April), and my peri-menopause started at age 49. I still had periods through my 53rd year, three and four months apart. I went 1 full year with no periods at all, then suddenly had one, a normal 5-day period, with mild cramps and normal
flow, then again another one the following month. Two normal periods after 1 full year without them! Argh! I've now gone over a year with no periods, so I guess it is "official" now that I am in full-on menopause. I have never had hot flashes, but I had everything
from headaches to extremely dry skin (even hives for one month), and mood swings, to what I called "peri-menopausal rage" where I felt intense frustration and tension.
The worst symptom for me though is the one I have had now for over a year, and
that is a weird sort of tinnitus, with an odd back of the head fullness, and ear
fullness. I ruled out all other causes, saw doctors, and there is no problem
with ear wax, no ear drum damage, no hearing loss. It is just an odd head
fullness with a sort of "hissss" sound.
Same day I used it, I was "back
to normal" there.
After about 2 years though, about age 51, 52, my body stopped responding to Progesterone cream, so I stopped using it, and used herbal and vitamin supplements, and flax seeds, Evening Primrose Oil, Black Cohosh, and Maca. (none of which seemed to do anything). From age 52 to now (about 3 1/2 years), I have felt steadily
worse.
Oh, I also eat a vegan diet, and eat fermented soy, so that's another reason I think I only need a tiny bit of
Estrogen. (sorry for the LONG comment! I just thought other women could relate to
my story)
Tell me, F.B., is there a reason you're opposed to taking estrogen? You've hardly mentioned it in your comment, and it seems very obvious to me that it's the answer to all your concerns and symptoms. I'm not talking about phytoestrogens, which are so weak they do very little. I'm talking about a pharmaceutical estrogen (many of which are bioidentical - most patches, vaginal rings, sprays, gels), for which your insurance will pay.
Would you consider it?
Hi Menopause Barbie, thank you for replying to my comment :)
Well, I talked to my GYN about it, and she would not do bioidenticals for me, said she has no experience with that, but would prescribe the pharmaceuticals - but it still is not covered by my insurance, so I'd have to pay out of pocket.
I also felt safe using the Estriol cream after reading this (since I was self-diagnosing and self-treating):
www.virginiahopkinstestkits.com/estriolhormone.html
I'm more confused than ever now.

Your new apartment is lovely; I'm glad you are happy to be back in Houston. I'm sure being a "citizen of the world" was an incredible experience, but in the inimitable words of Dorothy, "there's no place like home!"
Again, thank you for sharing your extensive knowledge in such a witty, playful, and easy-to-understand manner. :)
Nancy,
You are so very welcome for this, and I absolutely love making these videos for you.
Lucy,
Welcome aboard to "Menopause Taylor University." You'll find that if you start at the very first video (going by the number after each title), you'll understand absolutely everything.
I have eyes in the back of my head!)
And if you need me to help you tailor anything to your personal situation, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation at MenopauseTaylor.ME any time.
Barbie.
Linda,
This is so kind of you. And I know that your menopause is making your new move more difficult. But, with this education, it should result in a smoother course of events.
I am so very glad you're here, getting the menopause education you deserve.
You're such a wonderful lady! Thank you for caring so deeply for us all!
Well, thank you. But, you really deserve this! I'm just doing what you've always deserved. (And I just love it!)
@@MenopauseTaylor and that love absolutely shines through!
Mwah! (That's supposed to sound like a kiss.)
Thank you so much Barbie! Amazing presentation as always. I so enjoy them on both informative and visual levels. You are a true artist to your business. Great success!!!
Your education IS my success, Irina. That's what it's all about. Just keep learning and I'll know I've done my job.
Oh my gosh! You moved back to Houston! It's where I live! You should do seminars, I could round up all my girlfriends and see you in person! You are the most amazing teacher! Thank you so much!
Tracy,
I AM doing seminars, beginning in September.
How awesome! Can't wait! Thanks for everything!
Your amazing! Thank you for all your dedication! And caring about us!
You are so very welcome, my dear. Thank you for appreciating my efforts.
Dr. Taylor, how can I tell if my uterus is becoming too thick from not taking enough progesterone? How can I make sure I'm safe? Thx!
Thank you.
Thank you so much, Terry. I have a burning desire to help menopausal women everywhere.
I'd love to know how you keep your skin looking so youthful. I am 54 and my face is already drooping!
You are amazing, not just in terms of looks, but mainly the knowledge you give us women. Science and medical community have ignored us for a long time.
Thank you so much for this compliment. I really have no skin secrets. I don't apply makeup and I do apply Vaseline. That's it.

You are amazing. I have learned so much from you about life. Thank you.
Well, thank you for considering me a life teacher rather than just a menopause teacher.
We are so blessed to have you! Thank you so very much. We love you!!!
Oh, Gail. It's such an honor and a pleasure to make these videos for you. I want to provide you with every educational resource you need for your menopause and the rest of your life. You can count on me to do my very best.
I am watching some of your videos for the second time. I love your way of teaching, Dr. Barbie.
I am so glad this education helps you. And education is the kind of thing that means more every time you revisit it.
Thank you for this helpful clarification!
You are so very welcome, my dear.
Welcome back from a fellow Houstonian! Love your videos !!
Thank you, Casper. I'm loving it here.
So helpful, thank you! I found the Pro-Gest cream on Amazon just now. 🙂
Just know that the over-the-counter progesterones are not capable of reliably preventing uterine cancer.
Yep. Helping you is more rewarding than moving to different countries.
I bought your book "Honey I'm home" . Started reading it right away..so fascinated by your story. Can't wait to read it all and pass it on to my daughter to read. I hope one day I get to meet you dear Dr. Barbie
Love,
Farah from Toronto Canada
I hope yo meet you, too. I love Canada!
Dear Dr.

This education will go well beyond 200 videos in TH-cam.
You're great at explaining everything thoroughly. And from more than one perspective too. As a newbie in peri i say thank you. I also giggled a little when you said you were from TX cause I was thinking Joel Osteen. It's that million dollar smile and curly hair I think too

You are so welcome, my dear. I love helping you.
Thank You for your dedication, wisdom and humor!
You are so very welcome. I love making these videos for you, Lynn. And I look forward to meeting you.
Thank you so much, Barbie! You are an amazing wonderful lady!
Thank YOU, my dear Ann. You are so very kind.
Got it! Thank you sooooo much!
