I went to the hospital Wednesday and they took 17 tubes of blood to do tests, I told a family friend and she asked if I had ever seen the doctor in the daylight or in a mirror lol
I'm an ER nurse and I can guarantee they took 6 at most

My mother was a phlebotomist for over 35 years. She ALWAYS referred to herself as a vampire. For those who don't know a phlebotomist is a healthcare professional who is responsible for acquiring and preparing blood for the Lab to test. Many times they will have the added responsibility of preparing other types of samples headed towards the Lab.
Edit: I don't remember a single time when someone asked what she does where she says "I'm a phlebotomist." It was always "I'm a vampire! I draw blood for a living. I'm a phlebotomist."
