Wow very nice switch. Quite loud, but very clean. I like the deeper clack. The color scheme is very interesting. I'm wondering if there were going for an Evangelion theme with those colors and the name Eva? I like it!
I think they did, it has very strong Unit-01 vibes for me too! I wonder if Shinji would've liked it though (or maybe he was not that type LOL).
Get in the keyboard Shinji.
LMAO THIS exactly 😂
my daily keyboard kbd67 r4 + hmx eva
This is my favorite HMX switch among those you have reviewed.
I never get tired of looking at the opening shot! You turn switches into arts🤩
Oh, such praise! Thank you so much! 🥰
Denesik Burgs
Really great review 🙌🏼 gonna need to a whole EVA keeb now 😂
Whoa, so right! Only the switch was missing until now!
I really wish they would make these in Hall Effect version for my wooting haha.
Oh, now you got my attention! That would be THE BEST magnetic switch for sure.
@@thoccnology Did you see the new Wooting 80HE? Gonna be a long term classic!
@@lobbywasabi8152 Oh, thanks for the heads up! I'm happy to see they made a lot of improvements build-wise!
(I'm always giggling at 8k polling rates - it makes no sense in keyboards at the moment :D Even 4k polling rate has its potential limit at 0.25ms - which was not seen in keyboards yet - I mean polling rate is not a bottleneck in keyboards at all.)
@@thoccnology Yeah its all an interesting marketing ploy, but Im curious to see what actual testing is factual for these boards haha.
@@lobbywasabi8152 Me too! It seems I can measure it once it's released, so I'm very excited to see what they can achieve! :)
nunca pense que hubiera unos switch de evangelion
these would go so well in a space 65 with the eva colors and GMK berserk
I think HMX is doing really good stuff with their switches!! Got a whiff of them seeing HMX Clouds on videos and was impressed, and still love my Swifts the most amongst all my other switches. Noice review M'lady! :D
Thank you! ^^
I wonder if I'll ever come across a bad HMX switch LOL. Swift is the joker card for sure!
amazing video! quick question, what do you think is the best hmx switch?
Tough question - I haven't encountered a bad HMX switch yet. But my top favorites might be the Macchiato (it has a very versatile, medium sound in many ways), the Swifts and now this one.
Great review and video! If you had to order them from clacky to thocky, how would you do it?
I haven't tried most of the HMX switches yet, but on the thocky end there's the EVA and Canglan, somewhere between the Macchiatos, Cloud, and then the Swift and Lotus on the clackier end.
I love your videos!
What would be your recommendation for a thocky switch? either tactile or linear
My ultimate favorite deep-sounding thocky is the Vertex V1. Then comes the BSUN Roselle and the Duhuk Lumia Matcha V4.
I'm not a tactile expert, but the Dark Warriors have a very unique sound profile to me ^^
Also, thank you so much for your comment!
@@thoccnology Thanksss for the recommendations, i'll look into them :)
In the meantime, I bought the
EPOMAKER x Aula F75 and the put the ceramic keycaps and I couldn't be happier! I feel like typing on marbles - super thock. I'll make a short youtube video about it soon
And my pleasure
@@yorgohoebeke Oh, this sounds very promising! Ceramic keycaps are such an upgrade! ^^
Can you explain which one is deep between hmx eva and vertex v1?
Does hmx eva have the same sound with vertex v1?
Oh, no, EVA is deep only among the other HMX switches. It has a deep, but still prominent and loud clack.
Vertex V1 is a deep thock (no clack/sharp sounds).
@@thoccnologydo hmx has a thock switch that sound like vertex v1 or closer?
@@Tjahrir Not at all, they are always much more clackier. The EVA is quite close to some clacky-thocky BUNS, but definitely not the thockiest versions. :)
Thanks!
Nice intro ❤
Thank you!
