I Put a Waterfalls Terrarium in my Table (Custom Build)

- I made the terrarium computer desk a few years ago ( • DIY Terrarium Computer... ), which is still one of my favorite projects to date. I had a lot of fun with it and ever since, I've wanted to do something else like it. I just wanted the design to be more refined and elaborate.
However, I've been planning for this specific build since last year and began making in May. There were a few key features I wanted to include in this terrarium table - a waterfall edge, a live edge, a stream, and an actual running waterfall. Deciding how to best construct it, while retaining a beautiful design was difficult, but I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It's hands down one of my favorite projects I've ever done.

I hope you all enjoy this one. It's been in the works for months and I'm so excited to finally share it! I personally couldn't be happier with how it turned out, but I'm curious to know what you think. Let me know and have a great weekend!
You too!
As soon as saw title of this video I knew you would not disappoint. Excellent concept and looks so estheticaly pleasing. I have always loved myself the fact that incorporating the rustic natural look with the modern seems work so well. Great job 👏 👍
I’ve been looking forward to this all day!! Thank you so much for your wonderful work 🦋🧚♀️🙏❤️
This looks amazing!
Wonderful work. I'd like to see sem sort of tetra or small fish, perhaps a small frog. Also, it would be a mind blower if you followed this up with a kitchen table and chairs. Great work, Tanner. Thank you for putting it out there
I freakin‘ love this creation! I think if you kept on perfecting this design you could at one point sell them for serious money! This thing is gorgeous!
why would he do that xD he is a youtuber
@@predaR6 moeny is money, plus 1 of these tables would at least be $1200+ probably more like $2000
@@predaR6 yeah I was just commenting on how professional it already looked despite this being his first attempt at this piece. I‘m not saying he should I‘m just saying he could if he wanted to.
@seekeroffunz dude it'd go more a lot for than 2,000 I've seen just a regular old epoxy table sell for 14,000 he could sell this thing for 10,000 easy
@@mitchellheintz8158 The craftsmanship is already great so I bet on the second and third attempt he will have learned from his mistakes and it could really sell for a lot
What an amazing design! In 14 minutes you made it look so easy but the quality and attention to detail reflects HOURS and HOURS of careful planning and execution. This kind of project truly captures the essence of your channel. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Tanner!
hours? he says its took months
This has got to be one of the most stunning builds I've ever seen. You always deliver; you should be so proud of your work
waittt does your dad actually own Club Penguin 😯
I think a light diffuser to hide the individual LEDs would elevate this build to the next level. Either way, beautiful table!
This is mindblowing as usual, I used your methods in building my first vivarium a couple days ago and everything went great. Thanks and cheers from Sweden!
woohoo! that's awesome 🎉
I'm going to make my first vivarium soon for a snake, do you have any tips on what to prepare for or things you wish you designed into it?
@@shelly4301 complete the background/backside before starting on the substrate. Put your plants in before substrate so you don't have to dig around too much. And plan how the sticks and plants will be before beginning 👍🤗

This man has more nature inside his home than nature itself. 😊
When you have over 10 ecosystems inside your home you level up. You also got a samsung?
how mean and not eco ur comment is
@secretyeeter2376 nobody got offended, but you. 😆
@@ollie_mtb2 yk he wasn't being serious...and you are acting like it with the dumbest reply ever conceived.
@@ollie_mtb2 how are you offended by this? I don’t think there’s anything offensive.
Thank you for sharing your failures. I’m working on an ambitious build that went from one week (during my vacation) to now going on 6 weeks. I’ve learned a lot, redone virtually every step, and thankfully it’s nearing completion. It’s nice to know that even the experts still have to redo/reimagine projects. 💚
All part of the creative process my friend.
Can I ask what you built?
*Tanner, how DARE you be so incredibly awesome at making beautiful pieces of living art!*
I can literally see your improvements over your previous mistakes from earlier projects. Resin + fiberglass in the corner = genius. Im still stuck in the liquid rubber era. I think this is one of your most impressive terrariums. If not The most impressive. Great job man. It's really good.
Been watching the channel for awhile, and I think you always find a way to outdo yourself with each incredible build. That being said, holy heck- this really feels like you leveled up the entire terrarium hobby. Beautiful work!
This is so EPIC. Your wife and you must be over the moon at how gorgeous and classy this looks in your home. All that work, with such a rich payoff of beautiful nature in your home, bringing it in with you.
This is incredible. This is the sort of thing you’d find in a billionaire’s home. Like their whole dining table one bit terrarium with waterfalls. It’s beautiful, it’s art, it’s natural, it’s functional. This really has every box ticked. Stunning work. I really love that you’re getting to push your expertise with some challenging builds, and take on projects that are true masterpiece works of art. We are lucky we get to witness their creation.
Most billionaires wouldn't have the taste for something this beautiful.
Taste is subjective.
Luckily this proves you don’t need to be a billionaire to have something like this in your home.
P.S most billionaires buy 100’s of acres of private land for themselves - so getting their own dose of nature isn’t very difficult.
Billionaires don't want coffee tables that generate mold....
This is such a unique idea!!! You keep me striving to use my imagination to its fullest extent!
Don't often comment on TH-cam but this was brilliant..
Wow. This is the kind of thing I would fill my home with if I ever had the money for such skilled furniture creators!
It’s SO lush, luxurious, natural and calming.
I could sit and watch this forever just mesmerised by the water.
Thank you so much for sharing!
A great way to make a mundane object like a coffee table into something beautiful. Love it. Great job, and thank you for including the failed attempts. So many creators just give you the best result without showing the failures that lead to the perfection. Great job sir!❤😊
A beautiful display of your talent! It appears as though the waterfall continues through the floor. A masterpiece of living art for sure!
Im glad you also share the hardships in your build. Doing cool new things is rarely easy but its easier to do when you expect problems and you didnt hide them. Sweet build!
This table was definitely worth all the effort you put into it. It’s absolutely beautiful and such a talk piece for anyone lucky enough to share that space with you & place a drink on it. And then they’ll look and look and pick up their drink glass to look further! A great scape Tanner!!
This is absolutely incredible Tanner, your videos inspire me so much! I just completed a large 8’x4’ enclosure for my Retic using a lot of techniques I borrowed from watching your channel! Keep up the excellent work!!
I love live edge tables! Great build inside it too, very unique!
I just love how you're trying to cram a water or plant feature into every possible corner and when you run out, you make more corners lol. I aspire to very much the same aesthetic
Dude. Every single build you do amazes me to no end. You make it seem so easy and yet I know that never in my wildest dreams could I achieve anything near this. You're a true talent and artist. Well done, as always! So in awe.
Absolutely stunning, one of your best pieces yet by far. My goal in life is to have a home full of natural pieces of art like this!
The amount of detail in this build is astonishing! You have absolutely outdone yourself! Bravo!
8:00 I've been wanting to build a massive overflow tank. And so I TRULY THANK YOU. For showing the errors and the positives of this build... I will definitely lacquer all of my wood and epoxy anything I think might get wet! Thanks Tanner! 😊
Yours truly, one of the OG SerpaSquad Members... Farstrider Out!
This is a pivotal build for both you, and the viewers!
10/10 rating...
5 Stars 🌟
12:20 Absolutely gorgeous! I Good choice on the natural sand!
13:45 You've learned from all your past builds... And even though I think I might be older than you I would be honored to call you "Sifu!" I'm American but this word seems fitting.
This is amazing. I am speechless at how beautiful AND functional it is.
I've never seen such a gorgeous piece of furniture. Your creations get more amazing with every one!
Magnificent! I would add this in a heartbeat to every room in my house!
Love watching your live furniture creations. It shows people with same interests that furniture can have live features and look amazing at the same time! Amazing work as always!!!
I never really comment on anything but this is amazing. Your woodworking is above and beyond and then adding life into it makes something so cool I can't even put it in words. Very inspirational to take my projects to another level.
I love it!!! It’s so unique
You continuously blowing my expectations out of the water dude! I've been watching this channel for years now and its been a great pleasure to see your skills and abilities grow, and to learn from you. Your innovation seems to know no bounds. Keep it up!!
The lights really make it! I admire the patience this must have taken, you can see it all paid off , it’s stunning
Absolutely stunning!! My goodness, Tanner, for your mind to be able to see the image, plan the process, and then go ahead and complete this, that is totally amazing. You are very talented, and this is yet another example of the imaginative and wonderful pieces you create. 💯🏆🏅👏🏻
I enjoy watching your videos so much, watching you build your projects is so satisfying
It's just so cool how you're combining furniture with living plants, waterfalls and so on. I already liked those ideas of living picture frames and your computer desk was already another level but this one is simply amazing.
I love to watch how your builds develop in such a smooth way. I mean: for me it's some minutes and it seems like it's coming to life so easily and without any problems and it feels like building something so smoothly. But I know there's a lot of work and sometimes problems behind it on your side. It just don't feels like it when watching this. I can't really express in words what I want to say so I just leave it with: thank you for sharing your work in these videos. Always nice, calming and satisfying to watch these. I would really love to do things like this for my own living space but I don't know where to start, honestly. I don't have much experience with woodworking etc. . Maybe someday when I just say: f*ck it, I'm just starting this.
That turned out so amazing.
I really do appreciate how you share any mistakes you made.
IMHO, this is a new level of achievement in your hobby. Completely pragmatic, yet stunningly creative and brilliantly executed. An absolute master class build. I am in awe, sir.
Wow that's beautiful, a lot of work but super inspiring !
Incredible work!! I love this project so much. I also super appreciate your inclusion of the mistakes and their subsequent solutions. I regularly make mistakes in my projects, and it can feel pretty rough in the moment, especially when comparing yourself to others. Seeing that you also make mistakes and how you approach solving them was inspiring.
Never compare yourself to others, because there is ONLY one you.
I also really appreciate showing the mistakes, shows that everyone, even Serpa , is human and is learning more about this craft everyday!
I just want to say that I really appreciate that you show when you make mistakes and how you fix them. I’m a cosplayer, and while it’s a completely different hobby, I make mistakes constantly. I find a lot of inspiration from you to keep going and find a way to fix these mistakes. No matter how much experience you have, you’ll always make mistakes, and sometimes it’s hard to remember that.
Thank you for all that you do, genuinely. You’re incredible.
This is gorgeous. A piece like this would surely be at the top of my "If...Then" list.
So, so glad that I found my way to your channel in the past few years ~ thank you so much for sharing with us.
Completely stunning I'm so envious of your designs and would love them in my home
Agreed
You are a mad lad. I would never be able to create something like you but it sure is so aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Keep doing what you do best!
You, sir, are a master of your craft/art. I bow to thee.
Easily your best work. What a labor of love!
This is definitely the coolest thing I've seen on TH-cam, period. I love that it's not just a facade of showy stuff for a gimmick that will be useless after the video goes up but is instead perfectly functional with the desired longevity it deserves. Well done
Absolutely incredible piece of art. I'm sure someone would pay big money for it. Love this.
This is stunning. This has tickled my woodworking bone perfectly and has now taken top spot in the list of favorite builds
I used to buy 2nd hand aquariums rebuild them and sell them again.. then i got maried and the hobby dissapeared till my divorce 20yrs later.. now all i can say is..
You may no know this but you are such an inspiration !!! I remember watching your tiny jumping spider vivarium and i recreated it, after that i made a small vivarium and went over to a larger one.. and now.. im waiting for a custom build 120x50x140cm glass Terrarium to be delivered,, This is so therapeutic.. my divorce realy got to me mentally and this is helping me so much.. i would like to thank you for helping rediscovering my old hobby, it helps !!!😊
You got me back into this and im so happy about it. Love your video's and your creative idea's.. im a fan & would love to shake your hand one day..✌🥰
Sorry to hear what you're going through, but I'm glad to have helped in some way. 💚
That table waterfall is Amazing!!! Beautiful job, Tanner. Gina
Absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you for so many creative ideas and videos!🧡🐢
Your dedication to this craft is unmatched. The attention to detail you put into everything you do is very inspiring and endlessly creative. I appreciate you making these videos.
Wow, so advanced. Beautiful!
I can tell this one took a toll on you but the end result is so worth it. Awesome work!
this is exceptional, very ambitious design and a gorgeous result 🥰
Absolutely amazing
Intricate, certainly. I can't think of another project of yours in which the complexity of the hand-made enclosure was more commanding of attention than the live scape inside it. It is certainly unique in all the world! Congratulations!
Wow! What an amazing build! I love this very much!😊
Your work is so inspiring and makes me want to start my own DIY terrarium projects. NICE WORK!
My wife & I were completely transfixed. We actually needed the ad breaks to talk incessantly about this project! 😁👍👍
This is one of the most beautiful pieces that I've ever seen! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! You are brilliant! I would love to have this in my house. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work! Again, this is absolutely MAGNIFICENT! GREAT JOB!💥❤❤
Dude you are constantly levelling up in ways we all aspire to.
i prefer the natural light looks. Maybe the led could be set a bit more yellow ? apart from that it's crazy beautiful and well done
You are so inspiring. Thank you for creating positive content for the world!
My man! LOVE to see you sharing my recent passion for woodworking as well in your builds. It's awesome to see the two intertwined. It definitely inspires me to come up with my own creations!
Good grief man, you've done it again! You continue to push the boundaries, this is an amazing work of art. A-Mazing! As always, big love from Scotland.
Next is to turn your desk into a cool flowing waterfall terrarium with working motherboard and graphics card, basically a full working water cooled computer in there too, cooled by the waterfall (not everything would have to be showing)
without a doubt one of the most intricate and beautifully thought out projects i’ve seen on this channel and i am blown away with this piece its so miraculous
Simply stunning!
Gorgeous! One of a kind brilliant design Tanner, you've out done yourself!
I fricking lovee this creation! At this point, your house is probably a literal living tree lol
Soooo Perfect. Just phenomenal.
I love the narrating as you show the build
Bro im 900% certain your glue is mayonaise
😂😂😂😂
Wait what?
You are amazing! Your creativity, the enclosure/furniture you come up with is just amazing, you inspired me every time I watch you but the thing I love more than the beautiful enclosure you build is the fact that you tell us where you went wrong and what you would do differently, thankyou for being honest, anyone starting out new to builds need to follow you because then they will know that it's ok to make mistakes and change their plans YOU ARE THE KING
Incredible build! God bless you and yours! Praying for you
The level of planning that goes into your projects is unreal.
Ive never seen anyone try to align the grain between 2 seperate peices of timber on any build. Awesome attention to detail
What a show piece! Beautiful!
This is such a cool build! Thank you for sharing and for showing all of the mishaps along the way.
It's really appreciated to have all of the tips and tricks you use to ponder on. Thank you!
How beautiful! I want one now.
Intricate and elaborate Live Edge Terrarium Coffee Table, but an awesome success! Thanks for sharing the pain as well as the joy.
Such an impressive labour of love! Beautiful!
Wow! Absolutely stunning
You are absolutely amazing!!!! It’s unbelievably gorgeous!!!
If I could afford this, I would buy it in a heartbeat!
truly amazing...
I do not think I have ever specifically looked for your videos... but every time one pops up, I watch it completely... so addictive.
Thank you!
So inspiring to see that functional beauty is not a thing of the past. You keep me thinking! This is just stunningly beautiful.
This is a testament to years of love and learning. ❤ you have amazing work, Tanner. Keep being green, man.
This is honestly the most impressive and beautiful table I have ever seen built ❤😍
Worth the effort for sure!
It looks absolutely amazing. I love your creativity and the way you can implement it into your home so well, bringing together your love for all the setups you create and functional items you need.
Well done! Your home/workspace must be a haven of peace and tranquility.
despite the time and set backs you created a master piece, well done. It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Creating something from an idea and seeing it come to life is always exciting. I'm glad you continued and didn't give up.
@SerpaDesign this build was probably the best so far. I'm watching almost all of your videos in here and really like what you do. Keep going this way. You always inspire me to do something new.
Wow! Absolutely stunning!!! 🤩This is a gorgeous piece of living functional art. Great job!
ETA: This really is one of the coolest things I’ve ever watched someone make on YT. I remember making a terrarium after watching one of your videos a few years ago. It’s so cool to see you fine tune your craft.
This is truly next level design and function. I can't imagine what a piece like this would cost.
Cost about $200 USD to build. I'm sure having it commissioned would be a lot though because of all the labor.
@@SerpaDesign I’m surprised material cost was that low, but agreed in the labor. Something that took this long to make with your specific skill set is effectively one-of-a-kind. This is my favorite of your builds so far, very impressive.
Living in Alaska- this is PERFECT to help with seasonal affective disorder & gorgeous!
Wish I had 1/10th of this man's skills.
