    I have been watching professional videos on this subject today but I just love how you're so organic with taking such beautiful pictures! I also love how sweet you are, talking to the birds and getting distracted by a squirrel! I'm glad you didn't edit the video like you said you would ;)
    P.s LOVE your dress & hair, sooo my style! Keep up the great work

    Thank you Yvonne! Love that big porch 😄. I take a lot of my jewelry photos outside, but some inside at light box. Thanks for the information about the light too since sometimes my photos look so overexposed and it's probably because of too much sun then !

    Thanks for the tips! I always try to pay attention to the background when I'm taking pictures. A busy background will take focus away from the focal point. Also, the color of the background is important. It should complement the piece, and have enough contrast to make the piece pop.

    Hey Von, I like the wooden slate chair behind you and it might be a great place to hang stuff for a background that's different. So would the bird cage holder be a great place to hang stuff from. I'd be out doing photos here, but's it's in the 90's. Phew. Later this week perhaps. HUGd and much love. PS: Can't wait for my first craft crate to get here.

    Thanks for some good tips! I love pictures. I got a white craft board ($1). I use that as a backdrop. I crochet so I use a blanket or placemats to place my project on. I have one window that lets a lot of light in 💕 some of my pics look awful. I will use some of your tips💕

    This was a really great video. I struggle with capturing images of my jewelry as well so I will definitely go outside and play with these ideas (once it warms up a bit, haha).
    I would love to know how you created the multi-views as you were recording. I assume you used two devices to do this. Any tips on how I could do this (recording from with view point then adding another simultaneous viewpoint of another angle/object). Thanks in advance.

      Jennie Ruth DeLurey Try using a tripod to hold your camera steady.
      You can adjust various angles of the tripod so that you don't need to hand hold your camera.

    I made a light box that the back flaps come undone so i can literally fold it up & tuck it away somewhere. Hope this helps

    • @tyrroo
      @tyrroo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What did you make it out of?

    • @johannafluegge2597
      @johannafluegge2597 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      tyrroo... a cardboard box with the top flaps cut off, laid on one side, large holes cut out of other three sides then covered with white paper, a white sheet of paper taped to inside of back then draped down & out the front (for that infinity edge effect in the pictures) which covers the back flaps that are taped to give box stability & untaped to allow the box to collapse

    Yvonne, thank you for posting this. I've heard a number of people say that photos can make or break jewelry sales. Have you sold anything on Facebook? I'm trying to sell my jewelry pieces on there but am having trouble figuring out how to do it. Can you give me any information, please???

    What to use to hold your phone to take pictures of you, and to move around smoothly?

    • @tyrroo
      @tyrroo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It looked like a selfie stick, and then I'm guessing she has a tall tripod to hold the selfie stick when she's not walking around? I'm not 100% certain, however.

    This was, as always fun and educational. However, it was a little....off. Usually, when you look into the lenses, you appear to be looking directly at the viewer. In this video it always seemed as tho you were looking over my left shoulder. Not criticizing, great vid as usual. Just curious as to how different things happen when recording. BTW: I always stop to tell the chirping cardinals that "hello, I hear you cardinal." 💋

    • @tyrroo
      @tyrroo 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I didn't even notice until you mentioned it, but I'm guessing she was looking at the screen to make sure she's in frame. I find that a lot of youtubers have trouble watching the lens instead of the screen, I think it's just instinctive.

    • @mariab.1997
      @mariab.1997 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Doesn't matter, Von is wonderful anyway. I think it may have had something to do with her watching the picture in picture to make it look right for us. Something simple like that. I was just curious.
