    As a 5 foot 3 male who’s beginning to get visits from the Norwood reaper, I’m so beyond lucky to have a 5ft5 bald cousin who dropped out, beat the stystem, got rich beyond belief, and hired all of us. All family office. Real pay and upside. Sweatpants and no awkward lunches. Such a blessing dude.

    Omg before i joined the black pill in 10th grade going into 11th i was applying to some gifted schools programs and the only one i got into was the one where I was on a diet and had a lean face and i knew that was the reason they let me into that school. I was too young to see the brutality of the situation because i didnt actually want to go to any of these schools for personal reasons but damn its crazy that innocent children have to go through this shit just like adults. I feel guilty that the reasons i was unattractive are changeable unlike height or skin color or face structure.

    Sigh, this is all familiar and brings back memories from long ago and the recent past. I get the blank stares and disgusted confused looks even though what I’m talking about and how I’m saying it is clear. I even get the same looks when I ask simple questions like how one’s weekend was. This constant negative feedback over the years has made deep scars which make me unconsciously even more anxious which of course doesn’t improve the situations.

    Hair transplanted hair will never be as good as natural hair. It only gives the illusion of full head of hair. Works really well for older men but for young men it doesnt look good enough. Glad you got more filled in and it you can style the hair better.

    • @ascended266
      @ascended266  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      This is true. Your natural hair will always be superior than transplanted hair. I think it's a case by case basis. IF you have thick, ropey type hair, a hair transplant will benefit you well. If you have a lighter hair color, this lessens the harshness of the contrast between your hair and your skin tone. It also depends on the spacing of the grafts from the hair transplant. If the grafts are placed closer together, it helps make the hair appear thicker as opposed to have if there are a lot of gaps between the hairs.

    Does this hold true for IT jobs too?

    • @ascended266
      @ascended266  ปีที่แล้ว +11

      To an extent, yes. I think even in the IT field, they are looking for people with good communication and social skills and you typically get those traits through having positive social interactions. In the IT field, your looks probably matter less than a role where you interact with the public or clients but it's still important. An IT hiring manager may still hire someone more attractive as the halo effect is very real in interviews. In contrast though, companies want the highest skilled workers in IT so if you're extremely talented, you should still be able to get a position.

    How do you balance your job with your dating life?

    • @ascended266
      @ascended266  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It's very difficult to be honest. I try to not go on many dates during the week with the mindset of focusing on work and the gym and then planning dates on the weekends. This doesn't always go to plan as I also try to work on videos on the weekends. It's a delicate balancing act that I never really perfected.

    • @ascended266
      @ascended266  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@huntermogs Yes, great point. This happens occasionally and I will meet them on a week night but I never suggest it to them. A lot of the time hotter women get invited to a lot of events on the weekends(nightclubs, parties, galas) and especially if they are in their early to mid 20's those things take precedence over a date with a guy at least in the beginning stages of dating.

    I mean I want to pursue a degree in accounting but now I feel like it is a bad idea because to work in an office you need to look attractive and I am sub5. Not overweight but a baldcel and just an ugly face. Also 5'10" not that I think height is really my issue. I was overweight on and off throughout life. Right now I am more like skinny fat. I could suck my gut in LOL... I do plan on losing that weight though and working at it but I think a career or job where I have to work around good looking people and women will be detrimental because they will just hate me upon seeing me. I am beside myself, the options for me are nursing, this or finance and I dont think I have the looks for any of these roles. I wish I was high IQ enough to work in a stem field really...bros who are sub5 and have a high IQ are more gifted than me. I wish I could grow IQ points really so I could just go into the stems and not worry about my sub5 looks. I worked in the trades and that was a horrible experience as people are literally even worse towards you.

    • @ascended266
      @ascended266  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Honestly, accounting is a field where there aren't typically a ton of good looking people at least from my experience. Most accountants that I have met are more introverted. Finance definitely attracts more good looking people than accounting does.

I know for finance you also kind of need to go to a farm school for that. Finance interests me but not to work in really. I would rather work in accounting than finance especially seeing I’m going up a state school an accounting degree will lead to a better job in my situation.

    I get that on the surface the "halo effect" seems illogical and completely unfair, people who don't know you that well have to make snap judgments about you based on the impression you give off. Of course someone who looks like they take care of their body and appearance is going to seem like they have more discipline and would be more conscientious when it comes to work than someone who gives off a slovenly impression... But that's not to say that there aren't unconscious biases to do with things like height, race, if your name sounds "foreign", that would have no bearing on how well you can do a job...

    • @Saint-hamudi
      @Saint-hamudi 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would like to add, however unfair these "halos" are, they are rooted in reality, and most importantly you have the power to change these, if you cant, then there's no reason for you to be there, you'll only loose on the long term.
