- A bit if work on my DIY B737 throttle.
This video shows how the spoiler and parking brake works. Both handles are equipped with a servo to automatically deploy the spoiler and automatically release the parking brake.

Hi i'm building my own cockpit is not a 737 but i am thankful for all the input and ideas that people like help us to build our Home Cockpit DREAMS
I'm actually building one of these right now. I have figured out interlocks to keep the main lever from moving when reverse is applied and the reverse when not at idle. I drill holes through all my bolts and nuts and secure it with cotter pins to prevent future problems with parts falling off.
Quite nice ideas to work around expensive mass production part.
wow. how much imagineering went in to that. fantastic. I'm struggling to make a throttle quadrant for WT. lol
Great build! I hope to build one one day. Cheers!
Operation Cockpit! I have seen all of your videos. They are so helpful :) Thank you for making them!
Brilliant work, Peter!
very good ideas there .. thanks for sharing
That's awesome. I love this Chanel
You should invest in a small laser cutter. It would give you much more tidy and precise cuts.
Interesting idea. Newer thought of that. The details and tidyness is exactly one of my problems in DIY with normal tools and skills. :-)
Nice and interesting. I'm planning to make a 787 throttle quadrant. I hope I'll need your help.did you help me boss?
great job! , are you using arduino leonardo for connecting the sliders potentiometer to the computer?
Hi Arial. I use a Pokeys 57E for the potentiometers and switches.
fantastic!
You are so amazing!
Hi Mate, what's the length for your sliding potentiometer? Thanks.
Hi man! could you publish the size of the pieces of wood and design pls?
Hi,
I like your design.
How do you activate the servo to deploy the spoiler?
Best regards.
J. M.
+J Martin Hi JM. Not sure yet. I had to order at bigger servo with more power. So I have not had it interfaced it yet. I believe it is supported in Prosim.
Dude....this looks rickety as shit..(imagine if this is how the throttle quadrant was actually constructed on the real aircraft).....,but I am still super impressed. Can't get over the intricacies of your design and the level of thought that went into it! How is it working for you in practice? Has it withstood the test of time?
This is probably something like prototypes before they figure everything out. Well nowadays they probably avoid this stage with computer design.
HELP!! what sensor do u use or do u even use a sensor for the throttle??
I use switches and sliding pot's for the axis
can u please answer how can i connect the sliding potentio metre to my pc ?? i am just making the throttle and nothing else..can u tell me how to use that metre ??pls respond!!!icant wait to fly with my home made throttle quadrant!!!!!!
+Sogu Sohu You need some sort of "Interface card". What you need really depends on what software you use, so it is a bit hard to guide you. But for starters you could take a look at the BU0836X card.
+Build a Boeing what kind of software i need??i play with micrososft flight simulaor x
+Build a Boeing cna u make a full guide youtube vedio of how to make only the throttle step by step???it will help everyone because you are the only youtuber which is helping me build my simulator....
You need to buy FSIUPC.
There are many guides on the internet on how to make a throttle, so by looking on those guides you should get a good idea of what to do.
