It's wild that Ryan did not believe the wave hitting them...totally possible of an isolated storm....totally possible that they did not write on their log because they were busy avoiding the wave. The fact that the lighthouse was in good condition, means the guys did a good job protecting it but I'm sure it cost their lives. No one has time to write that in the log.

I don't think Ryan and Shane understood the book Houdini wrote... It wasn't to expose all sideshow acts and performers. Rather it was to discredit those claiming it was magic supernatural or an act of God.
