LYRICS:
Anna:
[You don't have to protect me, I'm not afraid!]
Please don't shut me out again,
Please don't slam the door
You don't have to keep your distance anymore
'cause for the first time in forever,
I finally understand
For the first time in forever,
We can fix this hand in hand
We can head down this mountain together
You don't have live in fear
'cause for the first time in forever,
I will be right here
Elsa:
[Anna...]
Elsa:
Please go back home, your life awaits
Go enjoy the sun and open up the gates
Anna: [Yeah, but -]
Elsa:
I know
You mean well, but leave me be
Yes, I'm alone, but I'm alone and free
Just stay away and you'll be safe from me
Anna (Elsa):
Actually we're not (What do you mean you're not?)
I get the feeling you don't know (What do I not know?)
Arendelle's in deep, deep, deep, deep snow
Elsa: What?!
Anna: You've kind of set off an eternal winter.. everywhere
Elsa: Everywhere?
Anna: Well, it's okay, you can just unfreeze it
Elsa: No, I can't, I - I don't know how!
Anna: Sure you can! I know you can!
Anna (Elsa):
'Cuz for the first time in forever, (I'm such a fool, I can't be free)
You don't have to be afraid (No escape from the storm inside of me)
We can work this out together (I can't control the curse)
We'll reverse the storm you've made (Anna, please! You'll only make it worse!)
Don't panic (There's so much fear)
We'll make the sun shine bright (You're not safe here)
We can face this thing together (No!)
We can change this winter weather
And everything we'll be - (I can't!)
"I'm such a fool I can't be free!"
I love that line.
I...........CAN'T!
And then that ominous reprise of Frozen Heart.
When you are facing homicidal ideation and afraid you'll hurt someone.
Kía S. When I like a girl after a long and bad experience with women: "Im such a fool. I cant be free"
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
1:40 "Ohhh Anna please you'll only make it worse!" Has so much tension and emotion in it, its amazing. Its my favorite part of the song because its the turning point; after that the song grows in tension until Elsa (accidentally) hurts Anna. Amazing song!
and anna is desperatly trying to calm elsa down, trying to convince her that she can do it but elsa is so afraid of what she has done she isnt hearing what anna is sayong, elsa is panicking and letting fear consume her, it shows in her voice very clearly
Dabookgirl Exactly!
Elsa suffers from anxiety and depression.
At the end of the song, Elsa accidentally hits Anna in the heart.
I have pressed that button like 200 times
The 'I caaaaan't!' makes me feel like I'm the one who's accidentally been struck in the heart with ice, it sends shivers down my spine and gives me goosebumps.
me and red cream soda: we need to stay together
That is literally how I feel after actually listening to the text to whatever Disney song it could be. It’s just somehow sounds relatable even though it’s not and it gets me shivering 🥶🤩❄️🤍
Frr
IKR
Same ;-;
I LOVE this reprise, their voices meld amazingly well.
I agree
miami _kiid harsh!
This song is what really reminds me that this movie is basically about a girl living with anxiety and depression. "No escape from the storm inside of me..." That part especially gets to me.
Dallas Goodson omg totally ive been thinking about that for so long
1:55 that's me and king dice from cuphead when we need to stay together
yup
@{Thy Baroness Annabelle Lee} Exactly! Rapunzel was bored and wanted adventures, Elsa was terrified and wanted anything but an adventure ("I've had my adventure, I don't need something new"-Frozen 2, right before the second big adventure)
@{Hevnoraak Von Moreau} Elsa is more of a realist which is odd from a Disney Princess her iconic lines are "kissing wont save the forest" young Elsa in frozen 2 and "You can't marry a man you just met" Damn Elsa is built different
I love how elsa (Idina Menzel) hits a really high note at the end of the song and screams "I can't"
Oh, when she belts out "I can't" it always gets me. UGH. IT'S SO GOOD.
And critics have the audacity to say the lyrics were "poorly written"...
Are you serious? I think as far as Disney films go, the lyrics are so original and well thought of! The best there is.
Couldn't agree more, it makes me wonder if some of these people even watch movies before they write about them
Tony White Ah yes, because "We used to be best buddies, and now we're not.", "Don't know if I'm elated or gassy, but I'm somewhere in that zone.", and "There's so much fear" are absolutely GENIUS. Look, I know not all of the lyrics are "poorly written", and there's nothing wrong with you disagreeing, but I wouldn't exactly go bashing them quite yet. I mean, I don't think the lyrics are 100% bad, but I can definitely see where they're coming from. "There's so much fear" is just so laughably direct and simple.
To each their own, but myself and a very large number of others disagree with the assessment, so you've got to figure they're wrong on some level to be in dissonance with so many others.
There really is no "right" or "wrong" here. It's all a matter of taste. And yes, a vast majority declare Frozen's soundtrack to be outstanding, but that doesn't exactly make those who contradict that opinion wrong. While I can see how so many people adore the songs, I personally don't find them to be Disney's best. Not even close. But that's me. I'm not right, I'm not wrong, and the same goes for all. So even if the critics have "professional" jobs doing this, in the end, it's all subjective, y'know?
I can sing along with the first half of this song, but I don't even bother with the second half. It's like Idina and Kirsten were having a competition to see who can reach the highest note without cracking.
I love the overlapping parts, they're very fun to sing with a friend. :)
a...💟
that was the best part
It’s not a high note, well stating that I’ve got almost three octaves under my belt so what can I say?
that’s the point? they’re two sisters arguing... have you seen the movie lmao
"There's so much fear" is the part that hits me the most. It's full of emotion, worry, and hurt. A beautiful kind coming from Elsa. Very passionate.
*****
Such as...?
EGLchan sleeping beauty, Cinderella snow white...need I go on
Sleeping beauty wasn't happy when she thought she'd never see prince Philip again, Cinderella broke down when her dress was destroyed, snow white is *kind of* happy all the time, except in that creepy forest. I think what you really mean by "constantly happy" is "more complex" and not just having the same mood all the time. Sorry if I was blunt before.
EGLchan
Not to mention Aurora had a freaking DEATH CURSE on her for the first sixteen years of her life. She may not have known, but that's STILL not happy. As for Cinderella and Snow White, you forgot to mention that they spent the entire first part of their lives as SLAVES haha.
It almost me cry
Did anyone else notice that this is the first time Elsa sang back to Anna after all these years? just wondering..
I did
She really seeks to connect, especially with her estranged sister, but she thinks her power controls her life, and that's sad.
Yeah... it must be *the first time in forever.*
@@GetBaked2421 why does this not have moar likes?
...
I love that in the first 'For the first time in forever' Anna's voice comes through and her melody in the major wins the conflict with Elsa's minor part but here the roles reverse and it's the minor that rules and Elsa's voice here is far more dominant! Great contrast and a very good twist on a very happy and up-beat song from earlier on in the movie!
Elsa: "Yes I'm alone, but I'm alone and free!"
Elphaba: "And if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free!"
Both characters have so much in common...including voice actor/actor.
I think this movie is going to become a musical like Wicked.
silverlaughterLOL “flying solo”
STOP MAKING ME THINK OF MY CHILD MICHAEL MELL
Um_BiSister OMG
did somebody mention michael?
Kai Xin 5 years later, well...here it is
Personally, I've always preferred the reprise to the original solo Anna did at the beginning of the movie. The emotion and vocals are all so great and blend together amazingly.
jonesbrooke0 I think reprises in Disney movies tend to be more emotional than the actual songs.
i love elsa's "i caaaan't", and the "deep, deep, deep"
NO!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN’T!
I know right!!! I’ve been repeating it!
Arendelle's in deep deep deep deep..... Snow.
"...you kind of set off an eternal winter, everywhere"
Something you cant say to your sister everyday
lol
Agreed.
but you wsh yo could
choandmankai rinukepe indeed: mom, dad!! she bringing winter agaaain!! uughhh u never believe me!!! i hate you!! *slam the door*
ert rtegdsg lol
"Don't panic"? Anna, dear, that is QUITE the understatement! D:
Almost as much of an understatement as "you 'kind of' set off an eternal winter...but it's okay because you can just un-freeze it!"? lol.
Mike Forte Elsa did unfroze in with a snap of finger in the end though
She’s naive and empty headed, what do you expect?
Huge understatement..
She leveled up and unlocked that skill set.
1:24 - Wow. Just... wow. You can really _feel_ the music building up to a climax of its own right here. A combination of the orchestra reviving the music's intensity and maintaining that strength and energy throughout the argument; the crescendo in volume; the distinct, perpetual runs in the string [/woodwind?] section; the minor tone that the music takes at key lyrical points [_"...please, you'll only make it _*_worse_*_!"_ coupled with Elsa's moan of frustration]; and the slower, ominous tones resonating from the brass section really very effectively build up the tenseness whilst exuding - for the people listening - the feeling that something - (probably Elsa) - is coming darn close to snapping. The singers, also, do such a good job of expressing their respective characters' emotions through the lyrics and direction that they were given. The counter melodies fit so well together whilst portraying a parallel progression of two completely opposite feelings: those of *_hope_* and those of *_despair_*.
+Alias Ersonpay (Present)who the fuck are you and why are you giving me a music leason
Lolface Who are _you_ and why are you getting so defensive over a post that has nothing to do with you?
+Alias Ersonpay (Present) That's exactly why this song is my favorite from this movie. You nailed it perfectly, haha.
really well said oml
+Alias Ersonpay (Present) no shit sherlock
when I first heard this I swear to god I got chills. This song touches my soul because unlike most Disney movies Elsa FEELS the confusion and the anger and the pain that accompanies life. She makes mistakes and she is afraid. more afraid of helping because she thinks that she will only make it worst, what a human thing for her, a Disney princess/queen to feel...
"I CAN'T!" Idina did SUCH a good job of capturing the desperation in that note.
1:54 me x king dice from cuphead!
The POWER in this song is just...amazing! The music in Frozen was the best part of the movie!
Oh my goodness, right after Elsa's big finishing note, you hear the instrumental section. The section is the final verse of the frist song, frozen heart!
" Cut through the heart, cold and clear ( meaning obvious here)
Strike for love and strike for fear ( first one was an accident, second time she hit her, she was panicking)
There's beauty and there's danger here ( Elsa's magic, the troll grandpa himself said this)
Split the ice apart
Beware the frozen heart. ( obvious metaphor is obvious)"
now THAT'S good compositional work, subtle, but not too subtle!
It's been like a Frozen concert. Seriously I would buy tickets for concerts like this
Wow I.... Just noticed that... *Mind Blown* hhh
It's why I like listening to this version instead of the others here on TH-cam: this little section of instrumental music adds so much weight to the situation. Every time I heard it, even in the theaters, I could hear "beware the frozen heart". And all the other versions cut out as soon as the last sung note has come and gone.
jediewok16 it was still an accident
2:19 LISTEN TO THAT BASSOON. "Beware the frozen heart!" That's such a nice touch.
Ah, dammit, someone already pointed it out!!
1 day late! You were so close...
Mswordx23,
When Elsa says "I CAN'T!", she freezes Anna's heart by accident.
Mswordx23
I just found that out too, it blew my mind...
Samantha,Gaming,Slime, Vlogs and more! Lee
It’s the notes that are played, not the actual words...
I just noticed at the very end (around 2:19) "Beware the frozen hearrrttt" melody is played! That connection is so cool because they foreshadow the frozen heart in the beginning, and then at the climax of this song Anna's heart is frozen, and this little melody is a reminder to us that one, it is harder to be cured, and two, that they totally foreshadowed it to us. DISNEY HOW ARE YOU SO CLEVER? :)
the entire first song was suppose to be foreshadowing. Also when Anna told to Hans to rule Arendelle for her, he said, "In MY honor". That was probably foreshadowing of his real motives.
Jonathan Ventura Another nifty example: At the beginning of "Love is an Open Door", Hans sings "I've been searching my whole life to find my own place," and later, "But with you, I found my place." Essentially he's saying that what he's really found is the throne of Arendelle, to which Anna is first-in-line. Also, when he's singing the second line, Anna sings "But with you, I see your face," foreshadowing the revelation that her attraction was 100% superficial and not true love.
Oooooo yeah I noticed the Hans but not the Anna part, very clever!
threenumbnuts Woah dude! :D
Rachelle Ann Avila That's what happens when you see a movie five times ;P
Omg them feels doe, GOOSBUMPS starting at 1:54
i feel you man happens
zack.plays games I know
The vocals
I love the contrast between Anna and Elsa. The whole song, Anna stays calm and keeps her tone steady, while Elsa's going all crazy back there with her ice powers and stuff.
Simone Grant Never noticed that, it's totally true!
I remember that happening to me when I first got the EXE powers from Woody.EXE in 2022 not realising how dangerous the power is. He did warn me about the power being dangerous that I almost hit Mummy with them. She didn’t even know at the time that i had them but i told Mummy about how insanely powerful Woody.EXE was and she now has the EXE powers herself including my sister has it. Woody.EXE has taught me how to keep my power under control and I always shielded behind him in public to protect everyone else. It took me almost 2 years to overcome this fear and I’m overcoming it now
did anyone else notice that at 2;19 they play the melody of "beware the frozen heart" from the first song because that's when the ice enters her heart? O_o ikr disney is genius
I didn't even realize that until I saw your comment. Thanks for pointing it out lol
:D disney is so good these days. Whenever someone says "yea well disney's just bad and computerized today" I yell at them to go watch Frozen
Thank you for pointing that out!
I noticed when I watched the movie.
i got the chills when i saw your comment and listened to it, and then i started crying. omg im too obsessed
Sophia Joanne I FEEL YOU BRO T.T my tumblr dash is just kristanna now... no regrets
What I love about this one is that it really shows Elsa's frustration of not be able to undo her powers, and how Elsa and the others are making it worse by placing the pressure on her.
Dragonstar13 Um who? The only people who put pressure on her to undo the winter are Anna and Hans.
@@EvelynL.1112 with the whole kingdom staring at her making her feel pressured. I'm sure I would break out into tears considering that elsa lived in isolation and depression and she had little to no contact with the one she loves and everyone gets scared when they are stared at like a monster
@@gnat6450 Oh that. But it's not like the entire kingdom has been calling for her to come back and fix her mess.
@@EvelynL.1112 They're not calling for her to come back though, they're only more or less scared of her. If you just did something completely awful, let's say you just off an eternal winter, and everybody was annoyed and scared of you, how would you feel? Everybody was, like peanut jimin said, staring at her like she's a monster. If you were Elsa, you'd feel like all of that weight was on you, you were the only one who started the thing and so you feel like it's your responsibility to stop the winter. When the movie showed Hans giving out things to the kingdom, the animation really showed how miserable everybody was because of how cold it was, if you were living in Arendelle at that moment, would you want Elsa to turn it back to winter? The movie may not say it directly, but you can put two and two together to get to the conclusion that just about everybody wanted Elsa to turn it back to summer, adding pressure on Elsa. Idk if that made sense, but it's just my thoughts. :]
Who else prefers this to let it go?
nobody there finally u got a reply are u happy
I do. It's more like a musical, and Kristen and Idina sing a lot better in this song
Me
Shan Marie,
I do.
Heard let it go too many times
1:25 to 2:02 my fav part expisilly OHHHHHHHH I...............IIIII CAN'TTTTTTTTTTT whoo so good sent a chill up my spine
1:25-2:02
IKR !!!!
I’ve got a better way.
NO!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN’T!
Idina's voice is so powerful, it's hits me everytime
(in a good way)
Eugene Hua They live in the "olden" times. If you look at Arendelle and their clothing in the town.
Well, her voice suits the seriousness Elsa's character has. Elsa can't sound like a highschool girl with tiny annoying pitched voice. So I like it how Idina pulled it off, though she could've sang some parts a bit better.
Eugene Hua she sounds like a Queen ;)
Sensational Sims Well, I think Frozen is set in the early 1800's.
Shingeki No Obama who
"IIIIII CAN'T!!" part ♥_♥
i am love that part
this should be a 2319 from monsters inc
NO!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
IIIIIIIIIIIIII
CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN’T!
This is the part where my heart stopped
Ha.. Ha
I could listen to the part from 1:24 forever. The harmonizations are so incredible!
yeah, it's soo much in "i'm such a fool i can't be free" part..
never have been attracted by any disney movie except this
This song is a beautifully structured work of art! Even for those who haven't seen the movie, you can still understand the *conflict* and *internal emotions* of both characters.
aaaahhhAAAAIIIIIIICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!!!!!!!!!
omfg that part is absolutely the best in this song X3
Pretty sure I kept replay it when I watch the film. OMG I love both Elsa and her voice
Silverel Black Me toooo :D
Same here XD
Carolina Turner I think Elsa melt my heart, not frozen it teehee XD
Alice Madness Returns thumbnail profile pic...nice ^.^
Goosebumps every time I listen to it. :)
I love how Elsa is supposed to represent a person with anxiety and depression but also love how Anna represents a well-meaning but misunderstanding loved one. She says “I finally understand. We can fix this hand in hand” but she doesn’t really pose any clear solution to the problem other than saying “I’m here” which is what a lot of people’s response to mental illness is.
"I get the feeling they don't know", hahaha. And amazing climax where they're both singing. I love it. Generally I love it when songs and melodies return throughout the course of a movie and this song is an excellent example.
....they never say "they" in this song...
they sing "iget the feeling you don't know "
I realize I typed it wrong. No biggie.
I get goosebumps every time I hear this! Both Idina and Kristen have amazing singing voices.
+cupcake101 As good as this version is, I like the Swedish version better, Mimmi Sandén and Annika Herlitz
voices are more harmonious and come through almost even as Anna is singing louder and louder to try to overcome the storm and doesn't wane until Elsa's last line "Leave me alone". Even the lyrics are somewhat more meaningful than the original one IMO.
I love when she goes, "I CAN'T!" It just perfectly shows someone completely overwhelmed by fear. That's something we've all felt and this movie shows it perfectly.
"Well if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free!"
"I'm alone but I'm free."
I'm glad she was able to incorporate that meaning in this movie, as well as in Defying Gravity! She plays two awesome characters.
Agreed! Not to mention the line both Elphiba and Elsa are 'reluctent' villans, they were born with magic, they try to keep it in control, but loose control, people are scared of them, and they go off on their own and are free.
This song is so unrated it's crazy!
It will always be my favourite Frozen song.
Into the unknown or show yourself?
I was at the drive in when i saw this movie (VERY fun by the way) ,and it was SUPER cold when i was watching it and it felt like i was actually in the movie, and in the scene where there singing this song, elsa makes an ice wind blow, and all of a sudden a bust of wind came directly to me where i was sitting, And it felt EXACTLY like i was in the movie, How awesome is that? :)
Code Lyoko fan on a Frozen video?! Awesome!!!
YUP!!!!
Odd Della Robbia And I guess you can tell I am one too! love you Odd! :3
Its' called 4D movies ;)
awesome :)
I love the harmonizing.
Having now seen Frozen II and coming back to listen to the first soundtrack, this song makes me so sad. "Can't escape the curse" when referencing her powers is heartbreaking. And her father made things so much worse by telling a child to suppress her feelings. That way, whenever Elsa felt anything, no matter what, it made her afraid. And "Fear is what can't be trusted".
Finally someone talking about this! It was totally heart wrenching to come back and listen to this knowing what is now known via the second movie. It’s honestly just shocking.
“I’m such a fool, I can’t be free”
“No escape from the storm inside of me”
Whoever wrote these lyrics needs a raise
At 1:40 you could sense the dramatic change in music and how Elsa is starting to panic... It just sent chills up my spine. It sets a perfect mood
The lyrics of the duet part is just brilliant.
everyone talks about "i can't"
but
"oh anna please you'll only make it worse" gets me
EVERY
TIME.
love the emotions in this song
i LOVE ELIZA'S VOICE IT'S SO POWERFUL!
the ending part is my favorite.
Elsa*
oh, lol thanks
It is I LOVE HER
@@joshclouser5589 since I’m a huge fan of Disney and Pixar, there’s all kinds of makings and histories of all kinds of children’s movies and shows.
Which means PBS, PBS sprout, PBS go, Nick Jr., Nickelodeon, Disney and Disney Pixar have some history.
The orchestra at 1:35 and Anna's voice give me goosebumps every time!
And Anna at 1:24. :)
I love Anna. I really feel for her so much in this scene--how she begs Elsa not to shut her out and to let her in. She desperately wants to be there for Elsa and for their relationship to go back to when they were younger.
I am not the only one obsessed with frozen, am I?
oh god no you're not, i'm 16 and i went along to the Frozen sing-a-long last weekend
Emma Daley I'm 18 and I'd love to go there too :P
Eleniel
I'm 20 but I love to listen and sing the song just like you :v
HECK NO, I'm 14 and I've written dozens of Frozen sequels. you're not alone pal
You're not alone honey, you're not alone
the whole ending of this i have to repeat so many times mostly the line " i can't control the curse"
She sounds powerful there.
Migikun She controls THE WEATHER.
What I love the most is how this song is essentially the same melody from the beginning song, but the feel is different - it's faster. The way Anna sings her part is so beautiful. 0:10
If it's only been winter for a few hours, how does Anna know it's an eternal winter?
It was at least a day and she made it winter in the middle of summer
Because it was supposed to be SUMMER haha
20 feet of snow in the middle of summer would feel pretty eternal to anyone
OMG, laughed so hard
That's just what I've been thinking! How does anyone know it's eternal? For all they know, it's just a temporary-circumstances-winter.
This is my second favorite part of the movie :D
(Especially when Elsa was like "aaaaaaAAAAAA I CAAAN'T!!!!!")
It’s actually pronounced...
NO!
AHHHHHHHHHHHH!
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN’T!
There's a nice little callback to the song "Frozen Heart" at 2:00 and onward. It's a strong foreshadow of what happens to Anna as the plot thickens...
dAnielle
Dude forreal, I've been telling people this but they just don't see the connection between that part & the first song. -.-
1:25, the duet is just.... AMAZING.
I love that there was no angsty sister-hate moments in the movie. Both of them thought it was their own fault and it was their responsibility to fix it and help the other. This song is fantastic
1:25 God Elsa's part is just beautiful *O*
This song is so powerful, Elsa's and Anna's emotions and everything going on, it's so amazing XD I love this.
1:51 - 2:02. Gives me chills every time.
TheIcyPhantom SO. TRUE.
1:25-1:36 gives me goose bumps =p
omg tell me about it
That 'no' part tho
Iris Kwon-Kim and the "I Can't!" Part in the end.
I had no clue Kristen could sing so well! Fantastic!
Apparently she was on Broadway. I didn't know until I looked her up on imbd
She's amazing!
She’s was classically trained
Terrific duo, really.
I love the part when elsa says IIIIIIIII CAAAAAAAANT!!!!!!!!
Oh My Gosh Me To Lol :)
i tried singing the part and i sounded like a dying walrus
xD I Bet You Sounded AWESOME c:
Snow Bunnyz ik i did ;)
o so you like Anna being attacked in the heart xD JK
Idina's part was just... beautiful. Chills everywhere!
Can't...stop...listening...
The song is so powerful, but with the animation and the look of distress on both of their faces, the scene becomes so much more powerful to me. It makes my heart skip a beat because i know that feeling of being trapped. I know that body language, especially when Elsa pulls her arms into herself.
(the foreshadowing in Fixer Upper: "People make bad choices when they're mad or scared or stressed, but throw a little love their way and you'll bring out their best")
I've litterally listened to this for the past 3 hours and I just keep refreshing it. It hasn't got old yet and it never will. Best Disney movie in a long long time
I've listened to this about 10 times now, and every single time, when Elsa sings 'I can't!' I get chills. This part, I just love it so much :D
GOD I love alot of the songs from this movie. This is the best movie since Tangled.PLEASE LET THIS WIN AN OSCAR.
Can I just point out that this doesn't have a single dislike? Do you know how happy this makes me?
i'd hope not. it's actually my favorite song/moment from the movie.
It makes me happy too~!! It's rare for a video not to have a single dislike. That's just how good this song is :)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Somebody disliked it! :'( *bawls my eyes out*
One person could not control the curse... :)
NOOOOO~!!! Sounds like someone has a frozen heart
Anna's voice trying to reach Elsa through the swirling snow chokes me up everytime. She's so incredibly sweet... And then we have Elsa. So much hurt in her voice... I can barely handle the pain...
I fucking love the emotion between Elsa and Anna.
1:30 favourite part...the way the orchestra picks it up... beautiful!
K.C. Lanchenba Same
This is amazing! I loves it! The part where Elsa sings, "There's so much fear," I believe that line was very powerful. ❤
(1:22 onwards) I love how Anna relentlessly and wholeheartedly believes in her sister even when Elsa is overwhelmed by the storm inside her
1:27-to the end....i thought the first version of the For the First Time in Forever had a great duet with these two, but this one just stole the show!! And that ending note...goosebumps EVERY TIME
Gives me goosebumps everytime.
This song brings me to tears .... I lose it at "Cause for the first time in forever, I will be right here" 😭 Anna begging her sister not to run, and Elsa consumed by fear. So much emotion.
I genuinely get chills every time with this song. If this ever becomes a musical, this song would be incredible! It's this song that makes me think it could happen!
A stage musical I mean, I know it already is technically :)
The problem with this song though is that the two singers must have very good chemistry, otherwise it just does not come off right
Oh I agree, though I feel like those two got it right :)
I really love the part at 1:25. There is something relatable between how Anna tries to reason with her sister, and Elsa shutting everything and everyone out, out of fear of hurting them.
Elsa: Ooh Anna please, you'll only make it worse!
(Anna: Don't panic.)
Elsa: There's so much fear!
(Anna: We'll make the sun shine bright)
Elsa: You're not safe here!
There voices togther i cant even right now I guess ill just have to listen untill the feels go away
good luck with that. lol

Day, uh, five? Feels have begun to overwhelm sense of time and surroundings. I fear I shall not make it out of here. To any commenter reading this, find a random woman named Maria and tell her I loved her.
Ah! the last song we heard in the movie should've been a duet between these two! not fixer upper
better idea: trio! Anna, Elsa and Kristoff!
***** maybe add Olaf too!
skittles skiddy And add Sven
RadicalRoyals Fuck it! Lets put everyone in!
Will Wilson Everyone except Hans and Weaseltown.

The hint of "Frozen Heart" at the end there is brilliant...
And I'm ashamed I didn't catch until what must be my 10th listen of this song.

Honey Baae this comment is incredible 10/10
I love this comment so much
"I'm alone but I'm alone and free!" reminds me of, "If I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free!" from Defying Gravity
Chillls... EVERYWHERE!
ikr!! i have them too! xD
Gianna Rivera omg same here
Love the little "beware the frozen heart" tune that plays ominously at the very end.
I actually like this even better than the original For the First Time in Forever
SO MANY EMOTIONS IN THIS MOVIE!!! Love the music....and the people......and Olaf.....and EVERYTHING else in Frozen
This is amazing, and the part when Elsa starts to lose it and overshadowing Anna it's incredible!
Also, I can't help imagine Anna crying while trying that her sister hears her in a storm of bad feelings and depression.
This reprise just gets me.
PS: The lines:"I can't scape the storm inside of me" and "There's so much fear" really shows that Elsa has depression and they just give me chills.
First time I heard this in cinema, I instantly thought of "Les Misérables" Confrontation song for some reason :D
"No escape from the storm inside of me!"
Simply superb
I remember being obsessed with this movie when I was younger.. this gives me nostalgia and brings back memories I didn’t know I had I miss being younger so much 🥺😭
When she said "aaaaaAAAaASAasASaaaAaa IIIII CANNTTTTTT!!" I felt that 👏🏻😔
