Whenever I've tried to use his deathblossom it always feels like a pathetic pea shooter. Whereas more than once I've beenm wiped out by another reaper

Your either too far away or you get shutdown by kirko, ana sleep any stun or shields ETC

It works best when you’re in a enclosed space with all enemies in the same area, so it’s harder for them to run away, don’t forget to jump and move around while you do it too, so you don’t instantly get shot down.

@@3tarbutterfly that's where I went wrong. I started to get it after playing and practicing. I thought he went invulnerable but not.
I've managed to go from 0 to regular 3 player death blossoms.

Naaa man just don’t let them know you are going for the death blossom. Never faide into a db, save it to get out of the db alive. And last jump around and try to get as close as you can while alting.

I'm having a very hard time performing well with Reaper in higher ranks, but in lower ranks he's very powerful because nobody is paying attention.

Yeh in plat and below reaper is quite low skill value, but in diamond and higher reaper becomes increasingly higher skill to get value with. Hes the only hero in the game with no poke, and who hes attacking is very obvious to enemy supports so they can pocket. You have to know when to engage, and hit ur shots when u do. That being said theres nothing more satisfying than tilting enemy teams when u roll them on reaper

In my opinion reaper is the simplest hero. Just teleport to a lonely sniper or idiot and kill him then use your weird smoke ability to get away
