This is litterally a vid for anyone out there. Introduction, explaining and acting on the findings. All very well explained. Slight warning tho: mastering data can become very addictive! 😇😂
We always like you Kev, but now you're our favourite! What a great comment As someone that knows the data well, what are your favourite bits of data to diagnose problems with your tactic? Or are you someone that likes to analyse EVERYTHING before making changes?
@@TheManagersSeat Love you guys! Oh my, what type of person am i? I’m just the maniac who thinks my fm save is my irl office. I’m the type of guy who goes through match highlights from my next opponent’s previous matches myself to identify their way of playing. For example this lets me decide on wheter to use a Iwb to overload the midfield, or use an IF/WB combo to pin their defenders and work the space on the flanks. The data i often use myself are passmaps, pitch tilt, shot maps and i want to know where we win back our possession on the field. These mostly are key for me when playing the Ajax style of football. I actually love to combine the raw numbers from the different squad views with the in-depth match analysis screens where you can find almost anything from particular matches. For example, I play Alvarez as a DMdefend and raw data shows me his percentage for tackles won is very high, but this number alone doesn’t tell the whole story. So i also take into account we faced rather weak opponents in our last 5 matches. Therefore i go and have a look in the match analysis and select Alvarez in combination with where he engaged his opponents on the pitch. All the dots now showed that he won the majority of his tackles rather deep in our own half. Something i did not want to see when playing a high press/high line against a far weaker opponent. This led me to the tweak to make him play as a DMsupport against weaker opponents so he could use his defensive skills higher up the pitch to pin the oppo down even more, not giving them the chance to come out of their own half. It’s these little things of combining certain data numbers with analysis which i value most in playing the game.
@@KevinV90 Wow! Going through your upcoming opponents previous matches is very detailed. But it sounds like it gives you the marginal gains needed to win matches? Certainly, the changes you describe with changing Alvarez from defend to support sounds like the kind of thing you can only get from a deep dive
@@TheManagersSeat I feel like if you apply basic logic into your tactics, the game isn’t that hard at all to begin with. But i do feel like if you’re willing to dive deep into all the tools the game gives you and you’re able to make the right adjustments according to the findings, this could be the difference between a few losses, or an invincible season, or relegation versus an unexpected mid-table finish 😋
Amazing job from everyone involved. I am trying to play the same system in the Prem. So I'm hoping with more reading, I can perhaps tweak this and get better
The moment I saw that defend duty in midfield with winger on attack next to him I knew the match engine would punish you. No need to go through all the data most of it is in the roles and duty but from my experience duties are more important because many roles are just cosmetic like some tactics will perform the same regardless you are using IF/IW or DMs/Volante etc. Then we have out of possession team instruction with mentality, tempo and passing that are linked. All of this is what you need to tweak the rest have less impact.
I live using the data hub to work out where my team isn't performing - the biggest issue is trying to sort this out with tactical tweaks and knowing what to do. Great video though, well explained!
Thanks Steve. I think you are right - the trick bit is definitely converting analysis of the data into tactical changes. Maybe we need to do a video specifically on this?
It definitely can feel a little bit daunting, can't it? I think a good starting point is to keep an I on all of the stats for the league in the 'stats' - 'team detailed' section. Tracking how many goals you're conceding from set pieces or what your xG per game is or expected league position feels a little less daunting to begin with than pass maps and polygons! Let us know how you get on!
My problem with the data hub is that it just tells me everything thats wrong with my team but it doesnt tell me why or how to fix it. unfortunately, i play on console and a lot of the features are missing... there's no "ask for" or search option in my data hub
Great video! Slight problem, I downloaded the views and I don't have half of the stats available to me on the views. The Expected stats, pressures per 90, like most of the newly added stats just don't come up for me in the views. I checked... I'm definitely playing fm23 and not 22 😅
If you check out the video description, there is a link there to The Managers Seat discord server. If you've never used discord before, it's like a giant chat room. We've organised our server into some different conversations. One of them is called #downloads, which is where the squad views are If you can't find them, just type a message with @fmllama in it and I'll point you in the right direction
Let us know how much you use the data hub and what pieces of data you find the most useful in your FM23 saves
😊
Game changing video once again llama. All thx to input from Isaac and Mike. 👍👍👍👍
Thanks! Mike and Isaac can now teach the unteachable student!

I'm not too proud to admit it's the least used side menu tab.
Get on it!

It's alarming that Lllama got through an entire attributeless save without using the data hub. Maybe he delegated it to Nom?
Absolutely brilliant video. Great work, and thanks for the tutorial 👏
Thanks for such a positive comment. It works wonders for the motivation levels!

Very well explained & interesting video. I knew our weakness was in defence, but the stats pinpointed who!, thx
Glad it helped you find the guilty culprit!
Game changer!
I think we did alright on this one Mike. You and Isaac are absolute heroes
Thanks for explaining everything! Helped me a lot
Issac channeling his inner Job
thank you so much such a great content
hardly ever look at the data hub honestly but this was a good insight
Glad you found it helpful. I don't think we're the only people that don't use it much either
Thanks Issac!
He's the star of the show, isn't he!
Me: “I’m gonna use the Data Hub and made my team better with the data!”

I didn’t know there was a drop down menu for data hub
In my eyes it takes too many clicks in football manager to see a detailed league table with not just goal difference. That should be easier to find.
Love the playstation controller stock footage...
Where can I found these views ?( support, defend, attack) I would love to download them

@@TheManagersSeat, where will I put the squad view files when I download them
joined the discord but still cant find mike's report
any help?
I have downloaded the squad view file. Where do I put them in my FM folder. Please help 🙏
Has Issac left because I can't find any info that you talked about?
Tried watching. The content is good but it keeps shooting off to clips for comedy value.
Can't get the MIKE pdf files to open, ANY IDEAS?
is "Mike" Pep Guardiola's sock account?
Wait!!!! There is a data hub???
is any of these tips downloadable
My head hurts allready
The constant cut scenes of the office aren't needed and are quite frankly, annoying.
