Thank you for showing this tutorial! It took me about a hour to get it on the left side but it payed off! My movement in general has improved with the back dash and side stepping, I'm punishing consistently and have finally gotten out of the yellow ranks! Thanks again!
thank you sir. I just recently went back to learning stick (coming from hitbox where KBD is stupid easy because of SOCD) and was struggling with the other tutorials. This was the only one that got me doing it nearly consistently..
This is great.. the slight up movement before releasing stick is key in player one .. I use my thumb to push it up just enough to disengage the down microswitch before releasing
HILARIOUS!! I was struggling with 2p side. I saw your technique - tried it myself and got it down in 2 seconds. I mean I was able to do quick backdashes at once. Thats a good sign. You saved me ALOT of time and frustration! I've spent maybe 5 hours with arcade stick and it's working out better than expected.
@@HibalHmm... Enjoy.. not really :P I was emperor playing on pad, 3 years experience. My pad suddenly broke and I'm forced to use stick because I'm broke!! Now I'm borrowing a friend's stick and it's cool and all that I can backdash, but I can't play for shit. I'm getting rekt because I can't find the right buttons in time ^^
I got my arcade stick in august 2019 but started with a hitbox in june 2019, i can do kbd, wavedash and pewgf now (12% success rate). Stick may feel awkward at first, but dont give up half way!
I really enjoyed this tutorial! It’s helping me improve on backdashing. I been practicing with my new fightstick for 2 months and I’m doing good and slowly improving my backdash and wave dash. Gamsahamnida for this tutorial 🙏🙂
what i learned is practice getting the inputs right first. People get hung up on doing KBD quickly the first 1 or 2 hours, nah bruh. It takes time and practice.
Literally been trying this for ages on stick, after seconds of watching your hand movement i've realised that my hand movement was wrong and i've picked it up in seconds. Great video
This was very helpful I instinctively do reverse wavedash being a kazuya main I can’t seem to break that muscle memory. Great video and dope arcade stick I’m currently modding my omni Korean edition stick. I have installed the CDP red lever with red and clear sanwa buttons.
Thank you so much!!! I was getting frustrated but now watching this video, I can finally do the KBD!!!! Also, shout out to Aris because in my head I was saying "Ok, be cool". Could you do more videos like this in slow motion for noobs?
Great video, can i ask what type of stick are you using and is wave dashing easier on a square gate? Im using octagonal but might swap it if it will make this easier
I used SDL-301-DX in this video. There is no problem with using any lever depending on personal preference. I'm not good at English, so I used a translator, so I'm not sure if it'll answer😅
I mostly play guilty gear and sf, so I don’t understand why this is better than a “normal” backdash, if that even exists in tekken can someone explain?
Hibal what’s your thoughts on the Myoungshin Fanta VS the Infiktration 301?? I currently have the Fanta with the Golden Fanta kit from WazWuz and I’m loving it but want to see what this 301 Lever is about.
301 is a more advanced product, but it depends on individual taste. 301 has a very wide range of motion, so I am using the head as a modification. Refer to the link at hibal.tistory.com/1029
come on guys... korean backdash and his effect is is greatly exaggerated and overrated.. forget about it.. it doesn't help you to win ..korean backdash would be usefull if you wanna to be a pro-tekken player and going to TWT and Evo ))) but if you just wanna enjoy the game - you don't need korean backdash
I wanna win and dominate. Korean backdash is absolutely necessary for enjoyment of the game. Looks like fun and I am sick of not being able to do it while others can. Plus, my character needs it bad. Need the spacing.
that's easily the best backdash tutorial, without needing any words. great job
Thank you.
I'm not good at speaking.😂
The sound of the stick feels so satisfying
ASMR KBD'ING
Too acurtate LUL
Big facts.
Tip for stick players you don't have to hit the stick all the way
Nice and straight to the point tutorial. And the the sound of the keys are very asmr-y. No theme music makes it even cooler.
Thank you😉
I've been relying on backdash cancelling forever, this taught me in no time. Great tutorial.
thanks for watching😀

Best tutorial off KBD.
Thank you so soooo much! Definitely the best KBD tutorial. Plus the stick sound is so satisfying lol. Keep it up man!!
thanks for watching😀
thank you for this! i learned it so quick that i'm shocked!!
thank you :D
OMG I can finally do KBD now! Well partly thanks to switching to a stick, but your video helped a lot!
Congratulations~ Thank you. :D
thank you sir. I just recently went back to learning stick (coming from hitbox where KBD is stupid easy because of SOCD) and was struggling with the other tutorials. This was the only one that got me doing it nearly consistently..
yeah, I think I'm gonna get myself a korean lever
This is great.. the slight up movement before releasing stick is key in player one .. I use my thumb to push it up just enough to disengage the down microswitch before releasing
That lever sounds beautiful
I never used stick in my life.
But I learned how to KBD on stick and in T8 from this video.
Thanks for sharing.

@@TheEverglader Sorry bro but I'm back on Pad. I just cant sacrifice 3 years of muscle memory for a stick when theres no actual benefit using it ..
By far the best tutorial for noobs with sticks on yt
thank you :D
whoever discovered this mechanic is undeniably a genius
Nothing else to add. You are the best.
I'm glad I know your channel now

I do not know yet if I will create another video again.
Dude you are the best, thank you very much
Thank you 😊👍
Best kbd guide ever
I love the Namco panel you have on your arcade stick. How did you go about getting that done?
hibal.tistory.com/1157
this way😀
Whay lever is that? Is it brand new? It sounds so fresh and perfect
The lever in the video is SDL-301-DX
Right now, I'm using a lever from th-cam.com/video/OfkvASaGFR8/w-d-xo.html
What sick are you using?
Doesn't matter how many guides or how many times I try, I just can't do it lol
Let's practice. You can do it👍
Thanks man! It really helped me
Why do you get the extra down input when you go from down back into neutral, I don’t get that when I go into neutral from down back?
It's hard to understand through the translator.😢
Please input slightly when entering the downward direction in the back direction input.
Will still get countered by Lil Majin and a dualshock lmao
Its easier on a controller LMFAO durrrr
Nice
What grommet tension were you using in this video?
It's a video from five years ago, so I'm not sure.
I remember about 35 to 40.
It's not important. just choose a moderately comfortable tension.
what is that stick?
it's makestick, SDL-301-DX-S lever.
Great video, can i ask what type of stick are you using and is wave dashing easier on a square gate? Im using octagonal but might swap it if it will make this easier

Nvm did some research of my own, if I understand correctly it cancels the backdash recovery allowing you to backdash earlier (?)
Great video man, like wow
hi i'm new to tekken, so the key is to cancel the after-dash animation with crouching huh?
Is it best to do it quick or do a long backdash? does doing it quick improve defense? thanks
I think it's better to do it at a moderate speed than very fast.
It's good to avoid an opponent's attack.
I am sorry. I am not good at English.
@@Hibal thank you ! Your english is good I understand everything
When you start doing the slower motion at 2:20, it looks like you are holding back, and not returning to neutral. Is that correct?
→ ↘ → After the neutral is entered shortly.
Hey! You got any link to your website that points to which buttons you're using?
hibal.tistory.com/1197
This is it.
Perfect video
thank you. 😃
How does the stick feel to you? Compares to Sanwa JLF. Is it better?
Sanwa JLF tension is weak.
What if you replace the stock spring with a 2 lb spring?
It is different in taste, but neutral zone is narrow, so it seems that other lever is better in the case of iron fist.
Is qanba q1 good or qanba q4 is better?
I do not know ^^;
It’s kind of like the opposite of a fireball command
Doesn’t give me that extra back input after doing b db
thank you so much
You're welcome :D
good day, Hibal! what lever are you using? is that crown? myoungshin fanta?
thnak you. i can't english sorry T_T

I donot get the b input after db on 2p side whats the issue im fine on 1pside....
try to weaken d, and release your hand.
can someone tell me why I sidestep so often when trying to do this I don’t understand
I’m using Bryan idk if that matters
It is by typing the ↑ or ↓ command.
Please set the command input view and check if it becomes ← ↙ ← command.
how do you spell korean?
코리안 백대쉬?
Anyone else get anxiety by this?
Agoge Exile it feels so weird doing it
Is this the best way to grip Korean stick?
You can take it any way you like.
I do the same input on p2 side as of p1 but it don’t come out?
Never mind i just realized i was transitioning my B to DB to fast for my guy to back dash lol
Is the Korean backdash limited to some characters?
All are available.
Hand hurts after doing this lol
Take your time to relax and practice.😅
can you please show us how to do this on xbox controller.

korean forward dash?
