Your library... YOUR LIBRARY 🥹 I love how you decorated your bookshelf so much. I love the start of everything completely packed into the room, and then you made everything just FIT. I genuinely don't know how you did that 😳 The set up definitely looks awesome, I was on the team it looks fine with the chair! Especially once the books show up, it made everything look so cozy. Love your little manga shelf. I'm just waiting for when you talk about some mangas on your channel 😂 I really love playing i-spy with all the books you had laying around. I'm in the same place as you! Thankfully I don't have too many books collected yet before I set my mindset into only buying/keeping books that I know I enjoy a lot. I decided just showcasing my bookcase with the mini books is good enough 🤣 The decorations really do take everything TO THE TOP. Did I run to target to get some sort of lights after what you showcased? Probably, yes, maybe. The final showcase looks AWESOME!
I'm truly surprised how perfectly everything fit in this room! I don't know what I would've done if it didn't 😂 I'm glad I ended up doing the shelf behind the chair. I think it brings that corner together well! I need to find a manga I'm interested in that I haven't seen an anime for! I just get overwhelmed because there are SO many!! I'll for sure go through the ones you've read when I'm looking for one to read! I'm so glad you maybe, perhaps got some lights for your bookcase 😂 I think lights bring them to another level and I love when people put them up. I'm excited to see yours if you do put them up!
Literally some of the prettiest bookshelves I have ever seen🥹 I was wondering what you used to put up the lights with cause I really wanna add some to my shelves but I dont know what to use🫶
thank you! I just used regular tape (a lot of it lol) and it's working great so far! I would also suggest little Command Strip hooks if you try tape and it ends up giving you a hard time!
Love your library room. My dream library room would have large solid wood bookshelves(I love the Dark Academia look) which would be a huge pain to move 😅. So I’m waiting on buying them until I buy another house in 2-3 yrs. Those shelves are only getting moved once 😂. For now I have one large Walmart bookshelf that the previous owner left behind . And I’m planning on buying some small solid wood ones I can move around on my own in my crossover.
Thank you! I love seeing everyone's different aesthetic when it comes to their bookshelves! They are for sure an absolute pain to move 😂 you're making a good decision on waiting to buy them. It seems like it's better to just buy new ones after the move and sell the old ones so you don't have to deal with it lol
Couple things to note, from a long time collector, books need to breathe, don’t have them up right up the back , give a little space. Check your books for Foxing- a book mold. I’m pretty sure I saw it on the Cinder books. There is a myth it is ‘just aging’, it’s not, It is a mold, it does spread and will destroy your collection- I lost 80% of mine in 22 because I didn’t know how dangerous it was and it spread over a lot of NEW books. It’s also bad for our health and any pets. Don’t put any really plants near your books, there is bacteria in soil that eats away at books and will increase risk of regular mold growing on books. Get some dehumidifier containers and hide them behind the books to keep moisture away from books. These are standard practices we all should be doing to care for our books long term. Good luck growing your collection ❤
Foxing could be a sign of mold, but it's not always mold. If it was, every yellow book that is older than 20 yrs in my local library would be moldy.... i dont think they are. Maybe i should harrass the librarians about the yellow books... 🤭🤭🤭Good tips about the dehumidifier and not shoving the books to the back of the shelf, though. That just traps moisture, which can be a place for mold to grow and spread.
Thanks for sharing! I've heard many stories about all kinds of ways people have lost their books before 😢 I've had the majority of my books for well over a decade and they're still in perfect condition despite me displaying them the same that whole time. I'm always on the lookout for any damage though!
such a dream to have that many bookcases in a row! also, the lights truly made it!! 😍

absolutely love your shelves!! Where did you get the little white three tiered shelves from that you have some of your funkos on? I need those!
I got them from Target's dollar section last year! Not sure if they have them online since I don't think they sell them in store anymore.
