I love that wallpaper. It’s going to look really nice. Now I have an idea for my bedroom which is a sage green. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
I’d suggest using Zinsser B-I-N primer next time you paint on ikea furniture! Unfortunately the finish that’s on their furniture doesn’t really allow paint to grip on. Be careful when you finally style the shelves!
Omg we are on the same wavelength! I just bought a house a week ago and am doing a dark green library study room!!! Can’t wait to see how your project turns out!!
Tip* regarding your Dap patch product. When you're done using it, rip off a piece of saran wrap and squish it down on the top of the remaining product. This creates an air seal preventing it from drying out. It stays soft forever. I also tightly wrap brushes or paint rollers with saran wrap mid project, if I can't finish a project all at once. Game changer! Cheers from Canada.
Spoon flower do such incredible designs but yes the prices are so expensive. I've had my eye on certain fabrics from them for years but could never bite the bullet. Anyway your room looks like it will be lovely. The colours are definitely quite bold but it looks like it will be quite cosy
I used York Covering Peel and stick and I will NEVER do peel and stick again it is much harder than traditional. With traditional you can move it around easily but NOT peel and stick. They cause bubbling so I saw you can use a damp rag or sponge and go over it then with wallpaper scraper gently push the bubbles out. A few i had to put in tiny slits to get the air out. I was doing this even six weeks AFTER putting up the paper. I think it’s finally staying down and flat. I have very old plaster walls.
I appreciate you being thorough, but it's a super long video with really just a couple of minutes of what people come here to see, which is the room and what was done. If you want to go to the essence, start at 7:45. If I can suggest something -- its much better to show what you're doing then talking about what you will be doing. I dont think anyone cares about what WILL happen so much as to see it in action.:)
@@authoralyssaclayI was just about to say @kateapple1 obviously doesn’t know how TH-cam works or how fecking hard work being a TH-camr actually is! The average YT’er to make each video has to plan, schedule, sometimes months in advance then film edit etc for a week or more just to put out one 30 minute video. Obviously she didn’t hear the part about you working on you for 6 weeks before you could make this video. Not to mention you have to have an incredibly strong self esteem to open yourself to others insensitive comments like her comment. How does the fact that you obviously worked very hard to get yourself into a position where you can afford to buy a home justify her making your video into a pity party for herself?
@@authoralyssaclay thank you ☺️ I am looking forward to watching the outcome to this video. I don’t have room for a dedicated library/office my little house (that my husband and I worked hard to buy and are continuing to work hard to pay off 😉😁) but I am thinking about trying to implement some touches on DA in my home somehow and I’m sure that you will provide some inspiration!
Well hello, This was on my "videos you may like". Looking forward to the rest of these videos.

I would of painted the walls first!
Then install the flooring.
I won’t actually be painting the walls :) just wainscoting and wallpaper.
I love how the entire world is suffering but every TH-camr I watch…”just bought a new house” 😆 guess TH-cam pays and being a plebe doesn’t 🤷♀️
I wish I was monetized LOL
